Predeceased by parents Alexander and Gladys Bennett. leaving to mourn are:

at Grand Bank; Paul (Myra) at St. Lawrence; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren;

Andrews on Monday, August 15 at 2 p.m. from the United Church, Grand Bank.
Interment followed at the United Church Cemetery, Grand Bank. Organist was

Alex Bennett, Harvey Brenton, Max Hickman, Leroy Dunford and Claude Myles.

PENNY, Lillian

Lillian
(Senior) Penny passed away peacefully August 3, 2005 at the Burin Hospital,
in the company of her family. Lillian was 85 years of age. She enjoyed a full
life surrounded by her loving family. Lillian (Senior) Penny was born in Port
Elizabeth, Placentia Bay November 16, 1919 to Oliver and Lilly (Moulton) Senior.
Lillian married Leonard Penny of Tack's Beach, Placentia Bay at age 18, January
13, 1938 and began her family. Together they had 10 adoring children; Margaret,
Alma (deceased at three months); Vera; Carl; Cecil; Norman; Calvin; Clara;
Lawrence and Melvin. Lillian lovingly raised her family at Tack's Beach until
1965 when they resettled in Fortune, Fortune Bay. She was proud to watch her
children grow up and see them prosper to raise families of their own. She enjoyed
23 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Lillian
is survived by her children and beloved husband and by her brother and sisters
Annie, Clayton, George, Jessie, Clyde and Ross. Lillian was a devoted wife,
a loving mother and an indulgent grandmother. She was greatly loved and admired
by her husband Leonard, and all of her children and grandchildren. She will
be sadly missed and always held in cherished memories by her family and friends.

and friends. Funeral service was conducted by Majors Frank and Rita Pittman,
assisted by ACSM Kathy Bungay on Monday, August 22 at 5 pm from Warren's
Funeral home. Music was provided by Tom Cumben. Cremation followed, with
interment at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Grand Bank, on Wednesday, August
24th. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Warren's Funeral
home, Grand Bank, where dedicated people care.

Passed peacefully away at the Blue Crest Inter-faith
Home on Monday, August 22, 2005, Charlotte H. Warren of Grand
Bank, age 75 years. Predeceased by parents Harry and Carletta Grandy; parents-in-law
Albert and Jane Warren; grandchildren Baby Warren and Agnus Thornhill; great-grandchild
Brianna Herridge and son-in-law Charlie Thornhill. Leaving to mourn: husband
James; daughters Major Carletta Thornhill at North Bay, ON; sons Perce (Pam)
at Grand Bank, Joe (Sandra) at Grand Bank, Bruce (Nina) at Grand Bank; 12 grandchildren,
13 great-grandchildren; brothers Stanley Grandy (Vivian) at Grand Bank; Joe
Grandy at Grand Bank. Also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral
service was conducted by Major Carletta Thornhill, assisted by Majors Frank
and Rita Pittman and ACSM Kathy Bungay on Wednesday, August 24th at 2 pm from
the Salvation Army Citadel, Grand Bank. Interment followed at the Salvation
Army Cemetery, Grand Bank. Music was provided by the Salvation Army Band. Pallbearers
were: Geoff Warren, Percy Warren, Earla Warren, Jennifer Savoury, Cheryl Alcock
and Kiley Herridge. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Warren's
Funeral Home, Grand Bank, where dedicated people care.

WHYTE, Elizabeth
Passed peacefully away August 13, 2005
Elizabeth Whyte, of South East Bight. She was 87 years old. She was predeceased
by husband Sylvester. Left to mourn are sons: Dermott (wife Madonna) of Petit
Forte, Sylvester (wife Anne) of South East Bight, James (wife Catherine) of
South East Bight, Bernard (wife Rebecca) of South East Bight, Thomas (wife
Debbie) of South East Bight, daughters: Margaret (husband Peter Jones) of South
East Bight, Ellen Murphy of South East Bight, Nora (husband Joseph Emberley)
of Southern Harbour, Angela (husband Anthony Jones) of Paradise, Annie May
(husband Barry O'Neil) of Paradise. Also left to mourn are 26 grandchildren
and 16 great grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. Father
Charlie Kelly conducted the funeral service at R.C. church in South East Bight,
on Monday, August 15, 2005. Interment was at R.C. Cemetery in South East Bight.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of White Dove Funeral Home
in Marystown. Pallbearers were Johnny Murphy, Eugene Murphy, Keith Emberley,
Gary Whyte, Roderick Whyte, and Jamie Whyte. Crossbearer was Tony Janes.
