Passed suddenly away at his residence on April 20, 2004 Clyde Barnes formerly of Harbour Mille, age 65 years. Predeceased by parents George and Caroline Barnes, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Shirley; son Wayne (Linda) of Maddox Cove, Conception Bay; daughters Bertha (Frank Hodder) of St. Bernard's, Joanne (Calvin Hodder) of Creston South; grandchildren Justin, Michael, Ashley, Kendall; sister Nina (Stanley West); brother John Barnes (Jean); sister-in-laws Rachel Barnes and Gertrude Barnes plus a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rev. Robert Peddle officiated funeral service on April 23rd from St. Michael's Anglican Church, Creston South with interment to follow at Anglican Cemetery, Creston South. Pall bearers were Michael Hodder, Justin Hodder, Dennis Hodder, Jeff Hodder, Lewis Thornhill and Harrison Barnes. Funeral arrangements entrusted to serenity Funeral Home, Burin. "WE CARE."

BARNES, Muriel Jane
Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on Tuesday, April 6, 2004 Muriel Jane Barnes of Grand Bank, aged 51 years. Predeceased by parents Effie and George Barnes; brother Wayne; sisters Betty Ann, Maude and Donna. Leaving to mourn are daughter Betty Lou (Chad) and granddaughter Hannah of Grand Bank; sisters Sadie Kramer (Peter) of Ontario, Marilyn Billard (David) of Grand Bank and Karen Barnes of New Brunswick; brothers Clayton (Daisy) of Grand Bank, Roy (Georgina) of Marystown, William (Ann Marie) of Ontario, Jerry (Michelle) of Ontario, Arthur (Emily) of PEI and Merrill (Geraldine) of Nova Scotia; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was conducted by Majors Frank and Rita Pittman from Salvation Army Citadel, Grand Bank, Friday, April 9 with interment conducted by Rev. Berdina Ford at St. Matthew's Anglican Cemetery, St. Lawrence. Music provided by Herb Dunford. Pallbearers were Jerry Barnes, Clayton Barnes, William Barnes, Roy Barnes, Chad Snook and Dave Billard. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Warren's Funeral Home, Grand Bank.

BRENTON, Wayne Eustace
Passed peacefully away at Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre Monday, March 29, 2004 Wayne Eustace Brenton of Marystown. Predeceased by parents Jack and Donnalda Brenton, sisters Joan and Eva, brothers Patrick and Eugene. Left to mourn are his loving wife Nina, precious son Justin Wayne; sisters Marcella (Mike Warren), Susie (John Drake) and Jacqueline (Allister Abbott); brothers Aloysius (Mary), Thomas and Alan (Dianne). Also leaving to mourn are sisters-in-law Syb Turpin, Ann Lynch, Florence (Jerome Kennedy), Elizabeth (Glenn Collins) and Madonna (Mike Amadei); brothers-in-law Donald Fitzpatrick and Fred Fitzpatrick; Aunt Alice Warren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Father Charlie Kelly conducted funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Marystown Thursday, April 1 with interment of cremains at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of White Dove Funeral Homes, Marystown. Pallbearers were Gerard Steward, Bill Farrell, Eric Brake, Pat Walsh, John Drake and Kevin Slaney. Cross bearer was Aubrey Brenton.

BREON, Frank
Passed peacefully away at his residence Thursday, April 14, 2004, Frank Breon of Grand Bank; aged 85 years. Predeceased by parents Berkley and Margaret Breon and son-in-law Arthur Herridge. Left to mourn are wife Elizabeth; daughters Marilyn Chafe (Dave), South River, Dianne Firby (Ken), London, Ontario and Cathy (Bob) of Grand Bank; sons Gerald (Beverley) and Frankie (Helena) of Grand Bank; grandchildren Troy, Amy, Mark, Kay, Leigh, Kristine, Faunda, Jennifer, Sherry and William; great-grandchild Lucas; brother Charles Breon of Grand Bank and sister Margaret Crocker of Grand Bank. Also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was conducted by Reverend Chris Andrews from Grand Bank United Church Sunday, April 18, with interment at the United Church Cemetery, Grand Bank Organist was Betty Rogers. Pallbearers were Kevin Kelly, James Baker-Rose, Leroy Dunford, Max Boland, Earl Dodge and Frank Dolimount. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Warren's Funeral Home, Grand Bank.

Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on April 18, 2004, William Butler of Baine Harbour, age 77. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Amy; sons Woodrow (Gladys) and Robert (Lorraine) both of Baine Harbour, daughters Margaret King (Wallace) of Brookside, Eileen Clarke (George) of Brooks, AB, Velma Hatcher (David) of England and Julie Kenway (Randy) of Baine Harbour; 19 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren plus a large circle of other family and friends. Rev. Oscar Elms officiated funeral service on April 20th from St. Mark's Anglican Church, Baine Harbour with interment following at United Church Cemetery, Baine Harbour. Pall Bearers were Stephen Butler, Tom Butler, Corey Kenway, Todd Kenway, Eddie King and Shane King. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Burin "WE CARE."

Passed peacefully away at the U.S. Memorial Health Care Centre, St. Lawrence Friday, April 9, 2004 Ellen M. Drake of Lord's Cove, aged 92 years. Predeceased by husband Maurice; sons Pete, Michael and Maurice; daughters Mary Edwards and Gertie Brinston. Leaving to mourn are daughter Elizabeth Hussey (Wayne), son Gerald, son-in-law Doug Edwards, daughter-in-law Theresa Drake, sister Rennie Isaacs, 38 grandchildren, a large number of great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral Mass was conducted by Father Frank Puddister from St. Elizabeth's Roman Catholic Church, Lord's Cove with interment at St. Elizabeth's Cemetery. Organist was Sandra Stacey. Pallbearers were Michael Drake, Wade Drake, Peter Drake, Joshua Drake, Ronald Drake and Christopher Strickland. Cross bearer was Max Parsons. Passed peacefully away March 31, 2004 at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital in St. John's, Robert Fitzpatrick of St. Lawrence. He was 58 years old Predeceased by son Robin, parents John and Mary Ann, sister Rita and brother Ambrose. Left to mourn loving wife Judy; sons Brian Drake of St. Lawrence, Robert Fitzpatrick (wife Amanda) of St. John's, Richard Fitzpatrick (wife Pauline) of Oshawa, Ontario and John Wayne Fitzpatrick (wife Cheryl Collins) of St. Lawrence; daughters Barbara Beck (husband Carl) of St. Lawrence, Valerie Rennie (husband Perry) of St. Lawrence and Rita Hillier (husband Gordon) of Clarenville. Also leaving to mourn are sister Sus Drake of St. Lawrence; brothers Peter Fitzpatrick and Walter Edwards; 11 grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, April 8, 2004, Lloyd G. Smith of Jacques Fontaine. He was 71 years old. Predeceased by sister Marcie Stringer. Passed peacefully away at his residence Friday, April 16, 2004, Charles C. Trimm of Grand Bank; aged 73 years. Predeceased by parents Byatt and Ada Trimm, brother Lloyd Trimm, brothers-in-law George Pitcher and Cecil Hillier. Leaving to mourn are brothers George (Betty), Stanley (Phoebe) and Wayne (Margaret) all of Grand Bank; sisters Alice Pitcher, Ethel Hillier, Margaret Matthews (Eli), Eileen Collins (Gerald) all of Grand Bank and Lenore Thornhill (Jacob) of Fortune; sister-in-law Laura Trimm of Grand Bank; 25 nephews and nieces; a number of great nephews and nieces; a large circle of other relatives and friends, special people, his caregivers Georgie Green, Beatrice Young, Mary Price and Ruby Downey. Charl will be remembered for his patience and caring. Funeral service was conducted by Majors Frank and Rita Pittman from Warren's Funeral Home, Sunday, April 18 with interment at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Grand Bank.
