Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on August 28, 2013, Dorothy Walsh, age 70 from Plate Cove West. Predeceased by husband Frederick, son Freddy, 3 brothers and 1 sister. Leaving to mourn, partner, Frank; daughters, Peggy (Jim), Angie (Jerome), Debbie (Monte); 4 sisters; grandchildren and great grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. A cremation took place and a memorial service, officiated by Father Brian Colbert took place on Monday, September 2, 2103 from the St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Plate Cove with internment following. Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Thursday, August 29, 2013, Max Benoite of Arnold's Cove, formerly of Southern Harbour, aged 91 years. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Angela of 67 years; sons George (Tina), Wallace (Carmelita), Edward (Shelly), Clarence (Sherry) and William (Cindy); 15 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sister Sadie; brother William (Clara); and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service took place on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Christ The King Church, Southern Harbour with interment at Christ The King Cemetery, Southern Harbour.

Passed peacefully away at Dr. Albert O'Mahony Memorial Manor, Clarenville on Wednesday, August 28, 2013, Dorothy Martin of Little Hearts Ease, aged 92 years. Predeceased by husband Frederick, son Nathan, daughter Bernice, daughters-in-law Deborah and Lillian; grandson Gordon. Left with fond and loving memories her daughters Lena (Arthur), Leonie (Max); sons Russell (Kathleen), Harry (Kay), Alfred (Cassie), Ted (Barbara), Alex (Shelley), Neville (Jutta) and Cluney; 24 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; sisters Hellen and Nita; and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Little Hearts Ease. Funeral service took place on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the United Church, Little Hearts Ease with interment at the United Cemetery, Little Hearts Ease. In her memory donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the United Church Cemetery Fund, Little Hearts Ease.

Michael Edward Mcloughlin

It is with deep regret we the family announce the peaceful passing of Michael Edward Mcloughlin age 87 years at Bonavista Cottage Hospital on August 19th of Duntara residing for past 21 yrs after retiring from Iron Ore Company of Canada Labrador City with 24 yrs service. Michael was predeceased by son Wayne and daughter Sharon. Left with fond and loving memories are his devoted wife Bridget of 58 yrs children: Theresa (Nelson Collins) , Mike , Larry (Cynthia) , Gerard , Mercedes ( Paul Pynn) , Wanda, Wade and son in law Trevor Canuel, brother: William (Kay); 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and numerous nephews , nieces , cousins , extended family and friends.

Left with fond and loving memories his wife Delphine of 51 years. Sons; Derrick, Guelph, ON, Daren, Bunyan's Cove, daughter Vickie, Toronto, ON, one grandson Matthew, sister Patsy Greening (Alvin) Musgravetown, brother Larry Keats (Shirley) Bunyan's Cove and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at St. Paul's United Church, Bunyan's Cove. Funeral Service took place 2 P.M. Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at St. Paul's United Church, Bunyan's Cove with interment at United Cemetery, Bunyan's Cove. Funeral Arrangements entrusted to Fewer's Funeral Home.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Myra Adey announce her passing on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at James Paton Memorial Hospital in Gander, NL; formerly of Adeytown, NL; at the age of 100 years. Predeceased by husband Anderson; parents, Walter and Jemimah; sisters, Doris, Mae and Stella; brother, Louis; and son, Lewis. Left with fond and loving memories are her son, Donald (Brenda), Gander and daughter-in-law, Inez (Clarenville); grandchildren Maureen (Terry), Gander, Gary (Teena), Gander, Jeff (Kathy), Mount Pearl, Jennifer (Paul), Gander, Catherine (Jason), Boise, Idaho and Sherry (Morley) Clarenville; great-grandchildren Mark, Bradley, Stephen, Brian, Stephanie, Noah, Christopher, Ryan, Matthew, and Ian; sister Barbara, Niagara Falls, Ont; brother Ted, Kingston, Ont. Also a large circle of relatives and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville and Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander. Predeceased by husband Wallace, son-in-law Eric Tremblett; sisters Muriel (William) Gosse and Jane Emberley. Left with fond and loving memories her daughters Patsy Tremblett and Kay Young (Walter); grandchildren Suzette, Joanne, Margo and Mark; great grandchildren Thomas and Megan Smith, Katlin and Lucas Strong, Liam Young-Simmonds and Brandon Tremblett; and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Lethbridge. Funeral service took place on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at the United Church, Lethbridge with interment at United Cemetery, Lethbridge. Predeceased by husband Harvey Moss and parents Clifford & Louisa Pelley. Left with fond and loving memories her daughters Debbie Penney (Alex), Louise Anthony (Terry), Marina Moss (Paul) and Wanda Roa (Rodrigo); son David Moss (Amanda); 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; three sisters; five brothers; and a large circle of family and friends. Funeral service was held on Friday, September 6, 2013 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Milton with interment at Jehovah's Witnesses Cemetery, Princeton.

Passed peacefully away at St. Luke's Anglican Home, St. John's on Monday, September 9, 2013, Harold Piercey of Monkstown, aged 80 years. Predeceased by parents Rita and George; sister Shirley Frampton, beloved daughter Phyllis Elaine; and sister-in-law Annie Paddle. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Eva of 59 years; daughters Jeanette (Arild Helgeland) and Lisa (Winston Parsons); son Otto (Denna); grandchildren Karen, Sonya, Kerri, Tyler, Sophia, Noah, Colton, Tyler and Donald; great grandchildren Anthony and Thomas; sisters Viola Reid and Joyce Mouland (Spencer); brothers Cyril (Jean), Major Ray (Joan) and Lloyd (Connie); sister-in-law Bella Hiscock (Cyril); brothers-in-law Major Max Frampton, Rayfield Collins (Amelia) and Ernest Collins (Nellie); and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at the Salvation Army Citadel, Monkstown. Funeral service took place on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at the Salvation Army Citadel, Monkstown with interment at Salvation Army Cemetery, Monkstown. In his memory donations may be made to the Salvation Army, Monkstown.


September 26, 2013

Brendan (Bren) Joseph Power
Born: June 17th, 1942
Passed on: September 21st, 2013

With his loving family at his bedside, Bren (aged 71) passed peacefully into the arms of the angels after a long and arduous journey with Alzheimer's Disease. Bren was predeceased by his only son Brendan (February 2, 2002), mother Mabel, father Bren (Sr.), brother Robert, sister Katherine and nephew Robert (Jr.). Left to mourn yet cherish wonderful memories is Janet, his loving wife of 49 years, best friend, and caregiver to the end. Also left mourning but filled with loving childhood memories to make them strong in adulthood, are his two daughters, Heather Power (John Healey), and Deanne (Kent Toms); daughter-in-law Yvonne Power. Left only with memories of easy-going, happy times with Poppy are his adoring grandchildren - grand-son, Stephen Greene, granddaughter, Sydney Ann Toms, and "chosen" granddaughter, Janet Byrnes. In their eyes Poppy will always be "the best". Bren also leaves behind his sister, Rosalind (brother-in-law, Wayne Smith), St. John's; sister-in-law, Stella Power, St. John's; brothers-in-law, Edward Sandeman, St. John's; Fred Fitzgerald, (Margie), St. George's; Keith Fitzgerald, (Margie), Bay Robert's; sisters-in-law Sharron Selent, Edmonton; and Heather ("chosen" daughter), (Bob Byrnes), Stephenville; along with a large circle of nephews, nieces, cousins, and many, many friends and former business associates. Cremation has taken place - service of Barrett's Funeral Home, St. John's. Further arrangements are being provided to the family by Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral Service and celebration of Bren's wonderful life took place at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Clarenville on Tuesday, September 24th at 11:00 A.M.; Interment followed at Pleasant Street Cemetery, Clarenville.
