Passed peacefully away at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Tuesday, August 28, 2012, Gerald Stanley of Clarenville, aged 87 years. Predeceased by daughter Gail; brothers Howard, Baxter, Freeman, Fredrick and Eddie. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Edna of 67 years; son Douglas (Rosalind); grandchildren Kristopher, Lori, Michael and Jody-Lyn; great grandchildren Terri-Lee and Brendan; son-in-law Eddie Kotyluk (Gail); sister Geneva Cholock; brother Eric (Vinie); brother-in-law Monroe (Marg); sisters-in-law Doris, June, Sarah, Nettie, Molly and Mima (Lee); and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service held on Friday, August 31, 2012 at Memorial United Church, Clarenville with interment at United Cemetery, Church Hill, Clarenville. In his memory donations may be made to Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville.

Dominic Fitzgerald Jr

Passed peacefully away at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Monday August 20, 2012 at the age of 56. Dominic grew up in Duntara, Bonavista Bay. Internment will take place in Newfoundland sometime in the summer of 2013. Memorial service took place August 25, 2012 at Henry Walser Funeral Home in Kitchner, Ontario. Loving Father of Dawn, always remembered and sadly missed by family and friends.

Maxwell Peddle

Passed peacefully away at G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Sunday August 26, 2012 Maxwell Peddle of Port Blandford in his 69th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Shirley, sons: Lorne (Marjorie) of Thompson, MB. Paul (Bobbi Lynn) of Snow Lake MB. Nelson of Port Blandford and Steven (Tanis) of Calgary AB. Grandchildren Jaida, Parker, Samantha, Brooklynn, Lovely and Eva, sister Marie of London Ont. Brothers: Keble of Port Blandford, Aubrey of Clarenville Gerald of Glovertown plus a large circle of other family and friends. Predeceased by mother Margaret, brothers: Bill, Clayton and Hubert, sisters: Amy and Mildred. To honor Maxwell's wishes cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Blundon's Funeral Home - Shoal Harbour.

Predeceased by parents William and Theodosia Duffitt; husband Harold; son Keith; grand-daughter Sarah; brothers Walter (Sophie), Willis (Ethel), Stuart (Joyce); and sisters Dorothy (Art) and Mereda. Leaving to mourn with loving memories, son Bruce (Joy); daughters Valda (John), Donna (Rex), Tina (Rick), and Tracy (Lorne); grandchildren Crystal, Wendy, Tyler, Ryan, Andrew, Ashley, Laura, Shawn, Katelyn, Kyle, and Curtis; two great-grandchildren Kayla and Cody. Also leaving to mourn are Wanda, Jordan, and a large circle of family and friends. The funeral service, officiated by Captain Reid Colbourne and Major Phyllis Blundell-Colbourne took place on Sunday, September 9, 2012, from the Salvation Army, Hickman's Harbour, with interment following. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her sons Gerald (Bernice), Doug (Elizabeth) and Baxter (Barb); daughter Gwen (Gary Munn); grandchildren Tina, Glen, Christopher, Jonathan, Jeffrey, Jason, Peter, Susan and Sondra; great grandchildren Haley, Julia, Sarah and Ava; friend and good buddy Jeanette Holwell; as well as a wide circle of relatives and friends. Passed peacefully away at St. Clares Mercy Hospital, St. John's on Saturday, September 15, 2012, Dorothea Brannan of Clarenville, aged 83 years. Predeceased by husband Arthur. Left with fond and loving memories her sons Mark (Katrina), Clarenville and Michael (Helen), South Africa; grandchildren Alexander, Victoria, Nicoletta, Stephen, Caroline and Ann-Marie; extended family in South Africa; sister Janet Kasch (Peter); brother Michael Evans and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service took place on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. Cremation has taken place. In her memory donations may be made to the Clarenville Area SPCA.

Predeceased by his wife, Mary, sisters, Margaret and Jean and sons-in-law, Lloyd and Rod. Hannah Amelia (Millie) Sweetland (Tulk)

Passed peacefully away at the Golden Heights Manor in Bonavista on September 7, 2012, Hannah Amelia (Millie) Sweetland (Tulk) in her 99th year. Predeceased by her husband Arthur, her sisters Minnie and Addie, mother Mary-Jane, father Abi and son-in-law, Jack Moores. Leaving to mourn her three children; Pauline, Albert (Edith) and Bruce (Joan) along with six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a wide circle of family and friends. The funeral service was held on September 10th from Holy Martyrs Anglican Church in Port Union by Rev. Valerie Gilliam. Interment took place at the Anglican Cemetery in Catalina. All donations in Millie's memory can be made to Holy Martyrs Anglican Church in Port Union or the Kidney Foundation of Canada.

Predeceased by granddaughter Madyson (2006) and parents Arthur John (1980) and Sarah (2004). Left with fond and loving memories his wife Linda of 33 years; daughter Jennifer (Mitchell), Goulds; Son Shane (Teri Lynn), Clarenville; grandchildren Mikayla, Riley, Brianna and A.J.; sisters Bertha Hurley (Melvin Boone), North River, Violet Power (Tom), Paradise, Vonne Simmonds, Ontario and Lilly Simmonds, Alberta; brothers Lorne (Debbie), Musgravetown and Joe (Glenda), Alberta and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service took place on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Memorial United Church, Clarenville with interment at United Church Cemetery, Clarenville. Colette Mahala Carberry

Passed peacefully away after a courageous battle with cancer at her residence in Brampton, Ontario, on Sunday, September 16, 2012, Colette Carberry, formerly of Burgoynes Cove, aged 48 years. Predeceased by grandparents Sidney and Lillian Green; Mark and Mahala Clarke. Left with fond and loving memories her parents Clarence and Irene Green; daughter Danielle (Eldon); son Skylar (Melinda); grandchildren Cerria and Jordon; sisters Donna (Roy), Melissa (Wally), Lillian (Don), Meta (James) and Annette (Gerald); brothers Sterling (Trudy) and Tony (Brenda); two special nephews Riley and Kyle and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service took place on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at the Salvation Army Citadel, Clarenville with cremation to follow.
