CHESLEY PIERCEY
Passed away at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Monday, August 25, 2008, Chesley Piercey of Garden Cove, aged 74 years. Predeceased by son, Terry. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife, Elsie; daughter, Dana Piercey; sons, Vaughn (Elaine) and Gerald (Jennifer); sister, Greta Dawe (Gerald); brother, Alex (Addie); grandchildren, Philip, Victoria, Matthew and Alexander and a large circle of relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service was held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 28, 2008 at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville with interment at United Cemetery, Garden Cove. In his memory donations may be made to United Church, Garden Cove or Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital. The family wishes to thank the nursing staff at Dr. G.B. LEWIS IVANY
It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Lewis Ivany, age 77, at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on August 24, 2008. Predeceased by parents, Martin and Lucy (Marsh) Ivany; brother, Harold and step-sister, Hilda. Leaving to mourn his loving wife, Madonna; daughter, Dolores (Dale Fagan); brother, Wilfred (Ada); sisters, Irene, Muriel and Eleanor; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Rested at Vardy's Funeral Home, Random Island. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Vera Abbott, took place on Wednesday, August 27, from the United Church, Britannia. Passed peacefully away at Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Tuesday, August 19, 2008, Hector Ploughman of Clarenville in his 81st year. Predeceased by his parents, William and Agnes Ploughman, sister, Effie and brother, Everett. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife, Maisie of 50 years; sisters, Myra Stanley, Louise Green, Laura Cooper and Dulcie (Bill) Long, all of Clarenville; sisters-in-law, Florence Ploughman, Bishop's Falls, Velma (Dave) Brown, Salvage; brothers-in-law, Baxter (Jean) Smith, Hillview and Jim (Ann) Smith, Happy Adventure and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by parents, Caleb and Jane Meadus and son, Cecil. Leaving to mourn her husband, Jim; children, Flora Butt (Robert), Melvina Eddy (Stuart), Walter (Sheila), Christine Farrow (Norm), Larry (Patricia) and other family and friends. Rested at St. Michael's and All Saints Anglican Church, Hillview, from where the funeral service, officiated by Rev. N. Chatman, assisted by Rev. Myrna Vey and Rev. G. RONALD S. SPURRELL
In loving memory of Mr. Ronald S. Spurrell who sadly passed away at age 77 years on August 26, 2008. He leaves behind his wife, Joyce; children, Randy, Darrell, Jerry, Renee, Patrick and their spouses; his 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and sister, Eleanor in British Columbia. - Passed suddenly away at Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on August 26, 2008, Llewelyn Carepenter, age 81 years. Predeceased by son, Clarence; daughters-in-law, Rosalind and Jeanette; brothers, Reuben, Ben, Edward and Harris Mundon. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife, Mary of 61 years; sons, Jack (Donna), Max, Rick (Jill); daughter, Isabelle (Perry); 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; niece; nephews and a large circle of relatives and friends. Bradbury, Myrtle – Passed peacefully away at the Agnes Pratt Nursing Home on September 8 2008, Myrtle Bradbury (Jones) age 89 years. Predeceased  by parents George and Charity (Cook) Jones, husband Reginald Bradbury, sons George and Edward, daughter Doreen, son-in-law Thomas Cassidy, brothers Ernest, Walter, Roland and Daniel, sisters Clarabelle and Ethel. Leaving to mourn daughter Deborah Bradbury, granddaughters Christine Lyons (Luke) and Katherine Griffin (Shane), grandsons Daniel Cassidy (Wendy) and David GILL  Three great-granddaughters, two great-greatgrandsons. Sisters; Alfreda Edwards of Catalina and Louise Saunders of New Hampshire. Also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and special friend Shirley Squires. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Agnes Pratt Nursing Home for their excellent care and support. Cremation has taken place, interment on October 14 at 2 p.m. at the General Protestant Cemetery.
