Born: April 18th, 1932
Passed on: October 21st, 2018

Passed peacefully away at Dr. Albert O'Mahony Memorial Manor, Clarenville on Sunday, October 21, 2018, Ethel Florence Coish of Burgoyne's Cove, aged 86 years. Predeceased by husband Clarence; daughter Yvonne Anderson (Jubal); sister Leah Adams (Harold) and brother Jacob Miller (Gertrude). Left with fond and loving memories her children Stephen (Marjorie), Tony (Dianna) and Earl; grandchildren Leroy, Florence, Barry, Jeremy, April, Shelley, Shane, Chandler and Colby; great grandchildren Gavin, Ethan, Jessica, Madison, Mackenzie, Ashton, Bailey, Landon and Austin; daughter-in-law Janey; sister Priscella (late Harold Day); and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at the Anglican Church in Burgoyne's Cove. Funeral service took place on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at the Anglican Church, Burgoyne's Cove with interment at the Anglican Cemetery, Burgoyne's Cove. In her memory donations may be made to the Anglican Church, Burgoyne's Cove. Special Thanks to the staff of Dr. Albert O'Mahony Manor, Clarenville for their care.

GOODYEAR, Graham
Passed on: October 12th, 2018

Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G.B Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville on Friday, October 12, 2018 surrounded by his loving family, Graham Goodyear of Harcourt, aged 67 years. Predeceased by his father Arthur and brother Clifford. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Elaine (nee Parsons) of 45 years; children Adrian, Alison Goodyear (Rodney Boutcher); grandchildren Russell, Mark; mother Minnie Goodyear; sisters Debbie Pittman-Brennan (Tim), Karen Davis; brother Kevin (Bonnie); sister in law Betty Goodyear; a close circle of the Parsons and Goodyear families and a large circle of friends with special mention to the Smith Sound Volunteer Fire Department of which Graham was a dedicated member for 34 years. A Memorial Service was held at the United Church, Harcourt on Tuesday, October 16, 2018. In his memory, donations gratefully accepted to the Smith Sound Volunteer Fire Department or Daffodil Place, St. John's.

PELLEY, Jewel
Passed on: October 21st, 2018

Passed away suddenly at her home on Sunday, October 21, 2018, Jewel Pelley of Shoal Harbour, aged 62 years. Predeceased by her parents Charles and Lottie Pelley; nephew Guy and great nephew Bennett. Left with fond and loving memories her sister Irene (Jim Pardy); brothers Orville (Patricia) and Earl (Joyce); nieces, nephews, and a large circle of family and friends; her fur babies Rusty, Scottie, Maggie and newest edition Tia; Rested at Alton United Church, Port Blandford. Funeral service took place on Friday, October 26, 2018 at Alton United Church, Port Blandford. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Clarenville Area SPCA in honor of her love for animals.

TUCKER, Harold Boyd
Passed on: October 20th, 2018

Passed peacefully away at G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Saturday, October 20, 2018, Harold Boyd Tucker of St. Jones Within, aged 84 years. He is predeceased by loving parents Silas and Lavenia Tucker; siblings: Woodrow (Edison) McCleod, Ena Dallas (Wilbert) King, Aileen (Isaac) Holloway, Eli, Winston (Anne), Eric, Hayward, George & Aubrey. Leaving to mourn with loving memories, his wife of 63 years, Mary Clarice (nee Bishop), daughters: Audrey (Austin) Fudge, Beulah (Robert) Maloney, grandchildren: Kimberly (Jeremy), Jackey (Brian), Darrin (Jennifer), Deanna (Cory), great-grandchildren: Caden, Brianna, Jade and Tryp. Also, sister, Lavenia (William King - deceased), brothers-in-law: John (Mildred), Harvey (Linda), sisters-in-law: Evelyn Tucker, Leoni, Vivian, Evelyn Bishop, Ida, Muriel, Ruby, Beulah, Edna, Marilyn, and a large circle of nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Reverend Gneid Lackey and Reverend Silas Rodgers, the staff of G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, the ladies of Hatchet Cove for the luncheon after the funeral, Yvonne Meadus, organist, and niece, the pallbearers, and Vardy's Funeral Home. To all who called, visited, sent food, cards, prayed for him, prayed with him, gave donations in his memory, your kindness will always be remembered.

VEY, Margaret
Passed on: October 19th, 2018

Passed peacefully away in the presence of her children and sister-in-law at G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville, on Friday, October 19th, 2018, Margaret Vey of Long Beach, Trinity Bay, age 79 years. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, Frank; parents Alfred and Mabel Hollett; siblings George, Gerald, Charlie, Grace, Geraldine, Bessie; and special Uncle, Henry Snowden. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children; Bruce (Celeste) and Nadine (Justin) Strong; grandchildren, Joshua Vey, Grace and Sidney Strong; brother-in-laws, Ron, Cyril, Eldon (Alice); and sister-in-law, Audrey Drodge; also numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and special friends. Margaret's passion in life centered around her family and her nursing career. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother who took great pride in their achievements. Her compassion as a nurse was a comfort to her many patients and, through mutual respect and admiration, she maintained loving life long friendships with her nursing counterparts. Her love of gardening was evident in the colorful flowers that surrounded her house every season. She was an animal lover who cherished her many cats and dogs throughout her life. She enjoyed birdwatching and was very knowledgeable about the many different species that graced her garden every season. Heartfelt thanks to Aunt Audrey whose faith and compassion provided much comfort to mom in her final hours. Funeral Service was held on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 2 p.m. from St. Mark's Anglican Church, Long Beach with interment to follow at St. Mark's Anglican Cemetery, Long Beach. In her memory flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to St. Mark's Anglican Church, Long Beach.

VEY, Miriam
Passed on: October 29th, 2018

Passed peacefully away at Dr. Albert O'Mahony Manor, Clarenville on Monday, October 29, 2018, Miriam Vey of Little Hearts Ease, aged 104 years. Predeceased by husband Nicholas; parents Dorcas and Arthur Flight; brothers Frank, Chester (Pauline), Gus (Sandra) and Robert; sisters Mildred (Jack), Nina (Herbert) and Irene. Left with fond and loving memories her children Milton (Lawana), Nina (Kent), Irene (Jack), Arthur (Shirley) and Kevin (Lexley); 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; sister-in-law Kay; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Little Hearts Ease. Funeral service took place on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Bethel United Church, Little Hearts Ease with interment at Bethel United Cemetery, Little Hearts Ease. In her memory flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to Bethel United Church, Little Hearts Ease.
