Passed on: October 27th, 2017

Passed away at the St. Clare's Mercy Hospital in St. John's on October 27, 2017 Daphne Bernice Avery of Southport aged 76 years. Predeceased by her parents Walter George and Marjorie Irene Bursey, her husband Chesley Avery and brother Daniel Bursey. Left with fond and loving memories her daughters Shelly Littlejohn (Norman) of Coley's Point, Susette Peddle (Tracy) of Clarenville; grandchildren Ryan and Nathan Littlejohn, Braeden Peddle; sisters Betty Frost (Howard) of Nova Scotia, Bonnie Mittle (James) of Michigan, USA, Wanda Bursey (Jack) of Ontario; brothers Winston (Liz) of Bay Roberts, Randy (Monica), Allan (Louise Deceased), Bruce (Betty) all of Ontario and a large circle of family and friends. Funeral Service took place on Monday, October 30, 2017 at Bethany United Church, Southport with interment at Bethany United Cemetery, Little Heart's Ease.

HOLLOWAY, Greta
Passed on: October 7th, 2017

Passed peacefully away at Central Health Hospital in Grand Falls-Windsor on Saturday, October 7, 2017, Greta Holloway of Labrador City, formerly of Port Blandford, aged 82 years. Predeceased by her husband Frank and son Bobby. Left with fond and loving memories are her children Randy (Arlene), Edgar (Bev) and Tim (Pam); grandchildren Dale (Tammy), Darryl (Jamie), David, Theresa (Collin), Sarah, Jimmy, Dean and Paul; 5 great grandchildren; sisters Bernice (Frank) and Marie; brother Eric (Marg); and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at St. Aidan's Anglican Church, Port Blandford. Funeral service took place on Friday, October 13, 2017 at St. Aidan's Anglican Church, Port Blandford with interment at the Anglican Cemetery, Port Blandford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Aidan's Anglican Church, Port Blandford.

HOLLOWAY, Phyllis
Passed on: October 22nd, 2017

Passed peacefully away at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Sunday, October 22, 2017, Phyllis Holloway of Lethbridge, aged 89 years. Predeceased by husband Brethal; son Dave Holloway; mother Nellie Oldford; grandson Ronnie Williams; son-in-law Ron Williams. Left with fond and loving memories are daughters Audrey and Pauline (Colin), both of Ontario; sons Carl (Barb), Lethbridge, Fraser (Dale), Bloomfield, Charles (Michelle), Alberta and Gerald (Pauline), Musgravetown; daughter-in-law Roberta, Grand Bank; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; sister Ruth (Doug), Hodges Cove; brother David (Joan), Charleston; and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Lethbridge. Funeral service took place on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at the Anglican Church, Lethbridge with interment at Anglican Cemetery, Lethbridge.

JACOBS, Minnie
Passed on: October 23rd, 2017

Passed peacefully away at Dr. Albert O'Mahony Manor in Clarenville on Monday, October 23, 2017, Minnie Jacobs of Clarenville in her 88th year. Predeceased by husband Raymond; brothers Victor and Adam; sister Carrie; sister-in-law Glenys. Left with fond and loving memories her children David (Cora), Victor (Margaret), Ivy (Eddie), Austin, Byron (Mary), Juanita Jeanetta, Sheila (Allister) and Kevin (Michelle); 19 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; brother George Green; brother-in-law Alonzo Smith; sisters-in-law Shirley Green and Letta Green; her church family; and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service took place on Friday, October 27, 2017 at the Salvation Army Citadel, Clarenville with interment at Pleasant Street Cemetery, Clarenville. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to Salvation Army International Child Sponsorship or Alzheimer's Society.

SEWARD, George
Passed on: October 16th, 2017

Passed peacefully away at Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Monday, October 16, 2017, George Seward of Gooseberry Cove, aged 98 years. Predeceased by his parents Jessie & Obediah Seward; three brothers and three sisters. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Nellie Frances Seward of 74 years; daughters Dorothy (Eric), Shoal Harbour, Alena (Edmund), Burgoyne's Cove, Rowena (Otto), Fox Cove; sons Austin (Clarabelle), Gooseberry Cove, Alonzo, Gooseberry Cove, Alvin (Valerie), Hodge's Cove, Hubert (Bernice), Barrie, ON, Merlin (Daniel), Toronto, ON, Terry, Gooseberry Cove, Darrin (Bonnie), Queens Cove and Rod (Nikki), Toronto, ON; several grandchildren; great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Little Hearts Ease. Funeral service took place on Friday, October 20, 2017 at Bethany United Church, Southport with interment at United Cemetery, Little Hearts Ease. In his memory donations may be made to the United Church Cemetery Fund, Southport.

SOPER, Delilah Belle
Passed on: October 30th, 2017

Passed peacefully away at Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Monday, October 30, 2017, Delilah Belle Soper of Caplin Cove, aged 93 years. Predeceased by her husband Grenville; sister Mabel Jane Smith and Myrtle Hopkins; brothers Ernest, Frank and Chesley Whalen. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories her sister Joyce Soper (Samuel); a large circle of nieces and nephews and family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home in Little Hearts Ease. Funeral service took place on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at the United Church, Caplin Cove with interment at the United Cemetery, Caplin Cove.

SPURRELL, Ellie Celeste (Avery)
Passed on: October 29th, 2017

Passed peacefully away with her family by her side, at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John's, on Sunday, October 29, 2017, aged 88 years. Predeceased by her husband Maxwell Spurrell and sons Raymond and Clayton, parents Sam and Violet Avery, brothers Everett (Walwyn) and Larry. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, her daughters Sylvia (Kevin) and Sheila (Walter) and sons Hayward (Blanche) and Al (Tess), grandchildren Terry (Chantale), Darren (Joann), Rod (Patty Lynn), Suzette (Jason) and Kim (Morgan), great-grandchildren Haylee, Lucas, Jake, Parker, Tripp, Max, Janelle, Tyler, Ethan, and Taylor, sister-in-law Emiline, cousin Eileen and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home in Clarenville. A funeral service took place at St. Mary's Anglican Church in Clarenville on Friday, November 3, 2017. Interment followed at Sunnyside Anglican Cemetery. In her memory, donations can be made to the Discovery Health Care Foundation.
