We regret to announce the peaceful passing of Annie Florence Janes, from Miraquinn Hilltop Manor, Hickman's Harbour, formerly from Trouty, at the Dr. G. B, Cross Memorial Hospital. Clarenville . Predeceased by her parents, Matthew and Rebecca Ivany. husband, James and daughter, Jessie. Leaving to mourn her son, Gilbert (Sandra); grandchildren, Malin, Stesha, Christine and Charles; sisters, Leona, Joanna and Doreen and other family and friends. Rested at Vardy's Funeral Home, Hickman's Harbour and St. Matthews Anglican Church, Trouty from where the funeral service, officiated by Rev. Eric Squires, took place on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 with interment following.

Passed on: September 27th, 2012

Passed peacefully away at Dr. Albert O'Mahony Memorial Manor in Clarenville on Thursday, September 27, 2012, aged 71 years. Predeceased by his parents Archibald and Louise Brace. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Marjorie of 47 years; daughter Brenda Boutcher (David), Little Harbour East; son Glenn Brace (Tracy), Lloydminster, AB; grandchildren Shawn Boutcher and Danielle Boutcher; five brothers; five sisters and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Salvation Army Citadel, Chance Cove, Trinity Bay. Funeral service took place on Sunday, September 30, at the Salvation army Citadel. Interment at Chance Cove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Arthritis Society.

Riley Anderson - Fowlow
Passed on: September 24th, 2012

Passed away tragically on Monday, September 24, 2012, Riley Andersen-Fowlow of Trinity East, aged 19 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his parents Wade and Mary; sisters Tracy and Vernice; brothers Roland and Garett; and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Trinity East. Funeral service took place on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Trinity East with interment at Anglican Cemetery, Trinity East.

Susan Harty

Passed on: October 1st, 2012

Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick's Mercy Home , Susan Harty, in the presence of her loving family, aged 84 years. Predeceased by her husband Austin, daughter Mary Eileen, granddaughter Kayla, parents: Catherine and Patrick Keough, brothers: Ronald, Leo, Kevin and Gus. Devoted mother of Geraldine Duggan (Ben), Ellen Harty, Patricia Philpott (Pierce), Kathleen Philpott (Bill), Peter (Melvina), Regina Jennings (Doug), Austin (Christina), Leo (Melinda), Shirley Brennan (Matthew), Claude (Linda), and Danita Keough, nineteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, brothers: Patrick and Tom, sisters: Kathleen Carter, Harriett Maloney (Ben), and Ann White (Chris), also numerous other family members and friends. Rested at the Community Centre in Duntara followed by funeral mass , officiated by Father Brian Colbert, on October 4, 2012 from Saint Peter & Paul R.C. Church, King's Cove with interment following. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Vardy's Funeral Home, Hickman's Harbour, Random Island.

Ian Maxwell Best
Passed on: October 2nd, 2012

Passed away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Tuesday, October 2, 2012, Ian Maxwell Best of Shoal Harbour, aged 57 years. Predeceased by his wife Marie. Left with fond and loving memories his sons Geoffrey (Lara) and Jonathan (Tanya); grandson Cohen; sister Sheena (Robert) and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service took place on Friday, October 5, 2012 at Memorial United Church, Clarenville with interment at Clarenville Interdenominational Cemetery.

Annie Dooley
Passed on: October 3rd, 2012

Passed peacefully away at the Carmalite House in Grand Falls-Windsor on October 3rd, 2012 Annie Francis (Keough) Dooley of Plate Cove East, aged 93 yrs. Predeceased by husband Edward, daughter Eileen, parents Andrew and Mary Keough; sisters Mary and Margaret; brothers William and Andrew. Left with fond and loving memories, daughter Louise, sons Pat, Mike and Lou; 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Funeral service took place at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in Plate Cove on Saturday, October 6th, 2012.

Barbara Hollett (Fiander)
Born: June 20th, 1946
Passed on: October 6th, 2012

Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on 7 East at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on October 6th, 2012. Barbara had a long history of inllness but also the strength and determination to keep going. She was cared for and loved deeply by her family and friends. Left to mourn are her husband of 35 years Harvey Hollett, sons Christopher (wife Julie) and Joshua (wife Natasha). Also left to mourn are her sisters Joan Fiander, Doris Burlotte, brother Walter Fiander (wife Gay), brother-in-law John Brown; mother-in-law Mildred Hollett and the extended Hollett and Fiander families. Barbara was predeceased by sisters Thelma and Ellen as well as her parents Etta and Maxwell. Donations can be made to the Arthritis Society in lieu of flowers. A memorial service, officiated by Rev. Harry Templeman, was held at the United Church, Musgravetown on Saturday, October 13, 2012. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Vardy's Funeral home, Random Island.

Emily Bugden

Passed peacefully away at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Wednesday, October 10, 2012, Emily Bugden of Elliott's Cove, aged 80 years. Predeceased by her brother Allan Blundell. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Emanuel of 60 years; daughter Judy; sons Wayne (Susan), Barry (Christine) and Rex (Minnie); grandchildren Tracey, Michelle (Robin), David, Jason, Paula, Christopher (Teresa) and Bradley (Crystal Gail); great grandchildren Alicia and Karah; sister Margaret (Douglas Cooper); brother Weldon Blundell (Marilyn); sister-in-law Kim and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Central United Church, Random Island. Funeral service took place on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Central United Church, Random Island with interment at United Cemetery, Elliott's Cove.

Passed tragically away on October 6, 2012, Steve Brown, aged 15 years of Musgravetown. Predeceased by grandparents David & Minnie Knox and Robert & Mary Brown, special cousin Janine Harris. Left with fond and loving memories are his parents Tony & Michelle; grandparents Gordon & Ivy Wells; uncle Derek (Joanne) Knox, uncle Joe (Marg) Wells, uncle Eddie (Cathy) Brown, aunt Patricia (Terry) Greening; special great aunt Ruth & great uncle Clyde Harris; cousins Sydney, Mackenzie, Tyler, Jamie-Lyn, Nicole, Melissa, Katie, Sara, Amy and Emma along with a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Lethbridge. Funeral service took place on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 from the Heritage United Church, Musgravetown, with interment at the United Cemetery, Lethbridge. Passed peacefully away at Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on October 7, 2012, Ray Reid of Shoal Harbour, aged 70 years. Predeceased by daughter Trudy Gosse. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Jean of 31 years, sons; Peter (Judy) of Shoal Harbour, Paul (Linda) of Mississauga, ON, son in law Dennis Gosse of Clarenville, grandchildren Justin, Amanda, Ryan and Adam, sisters; Marjorie Tiller of Mount Pearl and Barbara Vardy (Oliver) of Shoal Harbour, brother in law Bob Martin of Flat Rock and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 2 p.m. from the United Church, Shoal Harbour with interment at United Cemetery, Shoal Harbour. Passed away suddenly at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Thursday, October 18, 2012, Donald Stacey of Swift Current, aged 76 years. Predeceased by his parents Edgar and Winnifred Stacey; grandson Tyler Jr. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Rosalind; daughters Cavell (Henry) and Jannice (Eugene); son Tyler; grandchildren Krista, Korlee, Koren and Jonathan; great grandchildren Sammy and Logan; sisters Alice (Norman Crocker) and Eunice (Wilson Antle); brothers Lambert (Maude), Ross (Theresa), Gerald (Karen), Lawrence (Marilyn), Robert (Sherry) and Ivan (Cindy); and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at United Church, Swift Current. Funeral service took place on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at the United Church, Swift Current with cremation to follow.

Woodrow Churchill

Passed peacefully away at Dr. Albert O'Mahony Memorial Manor, Clarenville on October 19, 2012, Woodrow Churchill of Hillview, aged 91 years. Predeceased by father and mother Arthur and Bertha Churchill and brother Albert Churchill. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Janet of 63 years, daughters; Sheila Burke, Geraldine Frost (Ralph) sons; Woody (Denise), Mario (Helen), Rod (Wanda), ten grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, sister; Laura Whalen and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville Sunday October 21, 2012. Cremation to follow. In his memory donations may be made to Hillview United Church Cemetery Fund.

Susie Louise Tucker

It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Susie Louise Tucker of Bunyan's Cove announces her passing at the G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Thursday October 18, 2012 at the age of 66 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sons: Larry Tucker and Reg Tucker (Kim) both of Bunyan's Cove; daughter Vickie of Clarenville; daughter in law Kimberly Tucker of Charlottetown; grandchildren: Jerome, Jeremy, Paul, Janaye, Brandon and Jordon; Sisters: Nellie Humby and Marilyn Humby plus a large circle of other family and friends. Predeceased by her husband Job and son Stan. Funeral service was officiated by Majors Ed and Luanne Barrow from Islandview Salvation Army Citadel, Musgravetown on Sunday October 21, 2012 with interment following at Salvation Army Cemetery Bunyan's Cove.

Henry Nelson Wiseman

It is with great sadness the family of the late Henry Nelson Wiseman, age 71, from Britannia, announce his sudden passing at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on October 17, 2012. Predeceased by parents, Stephen and Alfreda (nee Toope) Wiseman. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife , Gladys (nee George); son , Christopher (Janice); daughters, Beverley (Tony), Valerie (Randy) and Kim; grand daughters, Melinda, Melissa (Blake) and Jennifer (Adrian); great grandsons, Maximus and Nathan Antle-Tilley; brothers, Ralph (Maisie) and Roy (Dean); sisters, Pat (Charl), Gloria (Eric), May (Herbert) and Jenny (Kevin); nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Rested at Vardy's Funeral Home , Hickman's Harbour. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Robert Oldford, took place from the All Saints Anglican Church, Petley on Saturday, October 20, 2012 with interment following.

Passed peacefully away at Saint Luke's Home on Wednesday, October 17, 2012, Phyllis Piercey of Port Rexton, aged 95 years. Predeceased by her husband John R., son Austin, daughter and son-in-law Yvonne & Warren Stagg, infant sons Donald and Keith and granddaughter Kimberly Stagg. Leaving to mourn, with many loving memories, her daughters Donna (Roy Haynes) and Marilyn (Brian Miller) and daughter-in-law Patsy Piercey. Special mother to Darrell Piercey and much loved grandmother to Keith (Robbi) Piercey, Cathy Piercey, Brian (Angela) Stagg, Michael (Suzanne) Stagg, Dale (Jillian) Haynes, Cory (Bridgette) Haynes, Jonathan Miller and Hayley Miller. She leaves as well, her great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. A special thank you to the staff at Saint Luke's Home for their care and compassion. Rested at Christ Church, Port Rexton. Funeral service took place on Saturday, October 20, 2012 with interment at Anglican Cemetery. Passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday, October 17, 2012, Clayton Muggridge of Clarenville, aged 67 years. Predeceased by his father William Muggridge. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Eileen; daughters Paula (Keith Kelly) and Pamela (Shawn Parsons); son Scott Humby (Angel); grandchildren Keifer, Marcus, Khloe, Shawna and Sammy; great grandson Jake; his mother Alice Muggridge; brother Pleaman Muggridge (Irene); step-daughters Wanda Lee (Ken Vokey) and Katie Ellis (Travis); step-sons Christopher Ellis and Gary Ellis (Roxanne); step-granddaughter Abby; and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at the Anglican Church, Winterbrook. Funeral service took place on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the Anglican Church, Winterbrook with interment at Anglican Cemetery, Winterbrook.
