SCOTT CLARKE (1970 - 2009), Oyster Pond, NS. Formerly of Old Bonaventure, NL. It is with great sadness we announce the sudden loss of our beloved Scott, doing what he absolutely loved, being on the water, breathing the salty air with his favorite constellations above him. A true Newfoundlander with a pure heart of gold and salt water flowing in his veins. He leaves behind his wife of 11 years, Heather Grout; his parents, Jack and Evelyn Clarke of Port Rexton, NL; brothers, Clayton (Regina) of Whitbourne, Chris of Calgary, AB, Dwane and John of Goulds; sisters, Dora Miller (Don) of Old Bonaventure, Irene Clarke of Clarenville and Dallas Clarke of Catalina. He also leaves behind a large circle of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Within his 39 years he played and worked hard, either playing ball with his rubber boots on or skipping across a rooftop where no one else could go. Scott was President of the Bowling League, members attesting to the fun he put in it. He was also a member of the Astronomy Club and many clear nights were spent with his telescope in Oyster Pond. And so Scott, we all hope you found your constellation and as with the twinkle in your eyes, we'll be looking for that same twinkle in the night sky.
