SKIFFINGTON, Amy - Passed peacefully away at her daughter's residence in Markland on Friday, Sept. 21, 2007, Amy Skiffington of Musgravetown, aged 88 years. predeceased by her husband Otto; sons Boyd, Donald and Douglas; daughter Mary and son-in-law Augustus Clarke, leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughters Amelia (David Cook), Markland, Bernice Clarke, Markland, Dora (Beaton Tulk), St. John's, Dorothy (Boyce Oake), Grand Falls-Windsor, Alliston Skiffington, Musgravetown, Leona ( Harvey Humby), Musgravetown, Sandra (Brendan (Skip) Downey), Codroy Valley; daughters-in-law Phyllis Skiffington, Sudbury, ON and Ann Skiffington, Calgary, AB; sister Winnifred Rowsell, Musgravetown; 20 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; very special niece and nephew Carol and Andy Skiffington and a large circle of relatives and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Lethbridge F uneral service held Monday, Sept. 24, 2007 from Salvation Army Citadel, Musgravetown with interment at Salvation Army Cemetery, Musgravetown. SHEPPARD, Charles E. - It is with great sadness lat the family of the late Charles Edward Sheppard, a ged 61 years, announce his passing at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his mother Miriam Blanche and father Eldred Sheppard, wife Patricia Sheppard, sisters Lois Kulesa and Ona Singleton. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Rosalyn (Sparkes), daughter Jacqueline MacKinnon (Ian), son Christopher Stacy), step-daughters Stephanie Curran (Andy), Kathleen Curran (Lee), beloved grandchildren Jack, Sophia, Rian, Ella and John; sisters Dorthea Pike and Wilverna Briggs, the many relatives who provided loving care especially Kathleen Blackmore, Jean Galvin, Phyllis Butt, Pauline Christian and Marjorie Sparkes. Also many other relatives, co-workers and cherished friends. Visitation took place at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service held on Wednesday, September 26, 2007 from Memorial U nited Church, Clarenville with interment at Clarenville Interdenominational Cemetery. FRYE, Lily - It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Lily Frye, age 83, from Summerville, at the Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on October 1, 2007. Predeceased by husband, John, twin sons, sister Eva Humby and brother, Albion Humby. Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories are her sons, Adrian (Norma) and Scott (Nellie); daughters Loretta Mews (Bill-deceased) and Sharon Quinton (Dave Oakley); grandchildren Kelly, Tammy, Tanya, Justin, Crystal, Kayla and Jessica; great-grandchildren Alaina, Marlena and Rhea; brother James Humby (Florence); sister Laura Rogers; sister-in-law Jenny Humby and many other relatives and friends. Rested at the St. Marks Anglican Church, Summerville, from where the funeral service, officiated by Rev. Valerie Gillam, took place on Thursday, October 4, 2007 with interment following. PEDDLE, Garfield - Passed peacefully away on September 28, 2007 at G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Garfield Peddle, age 86 years. Predeceased by parents George and Sarah Peddle; brothers Jim, Tom, Humphrey; sisters Martha, Margaret, Daisy, Emma, Maude. Leaves to mourn wife Annie of 66 years; sons Ray (Marie), Wallace (Barbara), Alex (Judy), Winston (Margaret), Roland (Rosalind), David (Wanda); daughters Lorraine (Murley), Bertha (Lawrence), Victoria (Bram), Valerie (Dennis); niece Maxine Baker; 24 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; sister-in-law Edith Hodder, brother-in-law Howard Hobbs; a large circle of family and friends. Rested at St. Aidan's Anglican Church, Port Blandford where the funeral service, officiated by Rev. IVANY, Frank Elias (October 19, 1928-October 1, 2007) - Passed suddenly away at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital on Monday, October 1st, Frank Ivany of George's Brook in his 78th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Bernice, sons: Warren (Sharon Barnes) of George's Brook, Dennis (Michelle) of George's Brook, Wallace (Colleen) of Shoal Harbour, Morris (Daisy) of Burlington, ON and Christopher of Shoal Harbour; daughters, Inez Skiffington (Roland) of Musgravetown; Louise Stanley (David) of George's Brook and Sheila Mahoney of Zeyphr, ON; 13 grandchildren and six great­grandchildren; sisters Bessie Bailey, Versie Baker and Jessie Stanley and brother Loyal Ivany. Predeceased by brothers Joshua, Jim, Garfield and sisters, Elsie and Millie. Funeral service was officiated by Rev. Sharon Earle-Marshall from Milton United Church on Friday, October 5, 2007 with interment following at Milton/George's Brook Interdenominational Cemetery. Pallbearers were sons, Warren, Dennis, Wallace, Morris, Christopher and grandson, Norman. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Blundon's Funeral Home, Shoal Harbour.

GEORGE, Lloyd - Passed peacefully away at Miller Centre, St. John's on Saturday, September 29, 2007, Lloyd George of St. John's, formerly of Lady Cove, aged 72 years. Predeceased by sister Neta King and brother Otto George. Predeceased by his father, George Squires (1997), sister Alice (1998), father-in-law Gordon Dalton (1998), brother-in-law Allan Dalton (1997). Leaving to mourn his loss, his loving wife of 33 years Ruby; son Christopher; mother Mary Squires; sisters Mary (Alvin), Patsy (Edward) and Pauline (Calvert); brothers Jim (Bertha) and George; mother-in-law Lillian Dalton and a large circle of relatives and friends. SLADE, Effie - Passed peacefully away at Sunshine Manor, Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Sunday, October 14, 2007, Effie Slade of Arnold 's Cove, aged 88 years. Predeceased by first husband George Walbourne, brothers Gordon Peach and Wilfred Peach, sister Viola Crann and granddaughter Michelle. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Richard of 18 years; daughters Ruby White, Dildo and Matilda Sparkes, Arnold's Cove; stepdaughters: May Lane, Labrador City and Jackie Hanlon, Oshawa, ON; son Wilfred, St. John's; step-son Ian Slade (Audrey), Arnold's Cove; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. Prince, Calvin Roy - Passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday October 21, 2007. Survived by his wife Meta and children Sandra (Brian), Samuel (Eileen), Fay (Jocelyn deceased), Susan (Grayson), Howard (Rita), Betty Lou (Clay), Pamela (Philip). Grandchildren Renetta, Jonathan, Devon, Timothy, Andrew, Zachary, Mark, Rebekah, Stephane, David, Neil, Jennifer, Kayla, Nathan and Michael. Calvin was also proud great-grandfather to three great-grandsons and three great-granddaughters. Calvin is survived by his sisters Gwendolyn and Dorothy and his brother William. Calvin is predeceased by his first wife of 38 years Jean, his son Terry and brother Ford. Calvin was the son of Samuel and Dorothy Prince and stepmother Bertha. Memorial service was held Friday, Oct. 26 at 1:30 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Shoal Harbour, NL. Cremation and interment to follow.

O'MAHONY, Dr. Albert Thomas - Died suddenly at Dr.G.B.Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Monday, October 22, 2007, Dr. Albert O'Mahony, aged 64 years. He was predeceased by his father Dr. Michael O'Mahony in 1974. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Donna of 36 years; sons Michael and David (Lynn Withers); daughter Ashling; mother Bridie; sister Miriam (Michael Toohey); nieces Emma, Elaine and Freya; nephews Michael and John. Also leaving to mourn many many friends and colleagues. Albert was born in Ireland but came to Newfoundland in the early sixties. He moved to Clarenville in 1969 where he practiced rural medicine up to his passing. When Albert first came to Clarenville, he was the only physician in the community. For a while he operated a clinic out of his home. Albert was a well-known doctor in Clarenville, the surrounding areas and throughout Newfoundland. He was highly respected for always going above and beyond 'the call of duty' in his passion and commitment for patient care. Up until the time of his passing, his patients could still depend on him to make house visits. Visitation took place at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral Mass held on Friday, October 26, 2007 from Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Clarenville with interment at Clarenville Interdenominational Cemetery. Donations can be made to Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
