Passed peacefully away at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Friday, November 4, 2016, Hilda Nurse of Champney's East in her 98th year. Predeceased by her husband Gilbert; son William Robert; sister Alvina Vardy; brothers Harold, Clarence, Theodore, Hezekiah and Donald; son-in-law Fenton Oldford. Left with fond and loving memories her children Eileen, Shirley (Ralph), Donald (Peggy), David (Frances) and Terry (Kimberley); eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; sisters Helen, Dot (Roy) and Edith (Pearce); and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Christ Church, Port Rexton. Funeral service took place on Monday, November 7, 2016 at Christ Church, Port Rexton with interment at the Anglican Cemetery in Champney's East. In her memory donations may be made to Pallative Care Unit, Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital.

SMART, Reta (nee Pauls)
at Carbonear Long Term Care Facility in Carbonear, NL on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, age 89 years. Predeceased by her husband Andrew Bond Smart, and siblings and their spouses Barbara (Paul) Renard, Lillian (James) Huggard, Willoughby (Ada) Pauls, and Olive (John) Kean. Survived by brother-in-law Wilson Smart and several nieces and nephews. Originally from Mose Ambrose, NL and a longtime resident (and real estate agent) in the Kingston area. Friends will be received at the Wartman Funeral Home Napanee Chapel on Monday November 14, 2016 from 12:30 -1:30 p.m. A funeral service will follow in the Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Interment Newburgh Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy donations by cheque or credit card to the Alzheimer's Society would be greatly appreciated.

Evelyn Pelley

Passed peacefully away at Dr. Albert O'Mahony Memorial Manor, Clarenville on Monday, November 7, 2016, Evelyn Pelley of Milton, aged 92 years. Predeceased by her 1st husband Garfield; 2nd husband Lewis; her brothers and sisters. Left with fond and loving memories her son Gary (Cynthia), Milton; grandchildren Amanda and Larry (Tia); great grandchildren Ava, Felicity, Ethan and Oliver; and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service took place on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Fewer's Memorial Chapel, Clarenville with interment at Milton – George's Brook Cemetery. In her memory donations may be made to the Retired Teachers Fund for Underprivileged Children.

Passed peacefully away at the Janeway Hospital, St. John's on Tuesday, November 15, 2016, Tamara George of Arnold's Cove, aged 15 years. Predeceased by her mom Pamela George; grandmother Janet George and grandfather Cyril Rice. Left with fond and loving memories her dad Charles Rice; grandfather Eugene; aunt Robyn (Taylor); cousin Jax; great grandparents Fred and Isabelle George and Lillian and Eli Smith; her extended family nan and pop Olive and Melvin Baker; Sherri, Roxanne, Colleen, Joshua and Shauna; and a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral service took place on Friday, November 18, 2016 at Fewer's Funeral Home, Arnolds Cove with interment at Interfaith Cemetery, Arnolds Cove. Special thanks to Dr. Anna Dominic and all the staff at ICU and 4th floor of the Janeway.

Passed suddenly away at her residence in Caplin Cove on Saturday, November 12, 2016 Emma Whalen of Caplin Cove, aged 79 years. Predeceased by son's Tony and Bruce; sister's Racheal Whalen and Clemy Simmons; brother's Eugene Green, Nathan Green and Petley Green. Left with fond and loving memories her husband Hedley of 59 years; children Rick (Donna), Brian (Natalie), Wayne (Rayna), Debbie Baker (Roger), Bonnie Dean (Tony); grandchildren Mitchell, Reilly, Kim, Sherry, Troy, Brian, Bradley, Emily, Rebecca, Tyler, Sarah; great grandchildren Tory, Megan, Kennedy, Mya, Kate, Rhiannon; sister Katie Smith and a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral service took place from Wesley United Church, Caplin Cove with interment at Wesley United Cemetery, Caplin Cove.

Passed on: November 4th, 2016

Passed peacefully away at Lions Manor, Placentia on Friday, November 4, 2016, Rosalind Stacey of Swift Current, aged 70 years. Predeceased by husband Donald, grandson Tyler Jr. and sisters Eleanor and Barbara. Left with fond and loving memories her children Cavell (Henry), Jannice (Eugene) and Tyler; grandchildren Krista, Karlee, Koren and Jonathan; great grandchildren Sammy, Logan, Raine, Kyler and Leah; sisters Bonnie (Lloyd) and Linda (Hollis); brothers Clem, Randolph (Lillian) and Rex (Elizabeth); and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at United Church, Swift Current. Funeral service took place on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at United Church, Swift Current.
