Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013 in her 67th year. Predeceased by: parents Walter and Sophie Duffett, nephew Robert Martin, nephew Wayne Strickland, and Wayne's wife Yvonne. Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories are her daughter Susan; sisters: Elsie Leawood (John), Diane Strickland (Jim), Rebecca George (Earl), Cynthia Simmons (Clyde), Eva Martin (William), and Judy Parrott (Vernon); brother Wayne Duffett (Dianne); a large group of nieces and nephews; and a large circle of family and friends. The funeral service, officiated by Glen Ivany, took place at the Kingdom Hall, Shoal Hr. at 2:00pm on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013 with internment following at the Jehovah Witness Cemetery on Random Island. Passed peacefully away at Dr. Albert O'Mahony Memorial Manor, Clarenville on Thursday, October 31, 2013, Emma Penney of Jamestown, aged 84 years. Predeceased by husband George; granddaughter Terri-Lynn; great grandson Nathan; son-in-law Tony Vincent; 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Left with fond and loving memories her children Wayne (Peggy), Gail (Wilf), Terry (Anne), June (Diane), Carol (Andy), Murray (Verlie), Jill (Shawn), Robin (Philomena), Michelle (Wayne) and Deanne (Rex); 26 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law Doreen; sisters Eva, Maxine and Rose (Ray); brother Bill; sisters-in-law Myrtis, Phyllis and Sylvia; and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Lethbridge. Funeral service took place on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at the Anglican Church, Jamestown with interment at Anglican Cemetery, Jamestown. Passed peacefully away at the G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Monday Oct. 28, 2013 Roland Chatman of Canning's Cove in his 91st year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his loving wife of 67 years Daisy; sons: Leander (Yvonne) of Canning's Cove, Leonard Russell (Debbie) of Lethbridge, Larry (Marilyn) of Botwood, Levern (Annie) of George's Brook, Lyman (Kim) of Canning's Cove, Lyndon (Phyllis) of Stoney Creek, ON; daughters: Lorraine Hampton (Lyman) of Canning's Cove, Laura Chatman of St. John's; 14 grand-children; 12 great grand-children, 3 great great grand-children; brothers Ralph Chatman and Rance Chatman plus a large circle of other family and friends. Pre-deceased by daughter Yvonne in 1947; parents Sarah and Edward, grand-daughter Marion Russell, brother Raymond and sister Rosie. Funeral service was officiated by Alex Stevensons from Gospel Hall, Bloomfield with interment following at the Pilgrims Faith Cemetery, Musgravetown. Florence was the beloved wife of Frederick Faulkner and loving mother to Tony Faulkner of Random Island, Brenda [Stephen] Cameron of Miscouche, P.E.I; Grandmother to Nichole Bailey, Jennifer Bailey [Adrian VanDongen], Fallon Faulkner, Josh Faulkner and Bradley Cameron; Great Grandmother to Jack Bailey and Lucy Bailey. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her Son Gary (Donna) Granddaughters Tracy (Terry), Pamela (Andrew), Great Grandchildren Gavin, Ethan, and Lacey, Brother Tom (Frances) Howe, Sister Dawn (Wilson), Special Uncle Alphaeus Greening, Special Cousins Evelyn Penney and Lily Hann, Special Friend Allister Greening and a large circle of nieces and nephews.
