Passed peacefully away at Hoyles Escasoni Complex, St. John's, on Friday, April 25, 2014, Margaret Barrett of North West Brook in her 81st year. Predeceased by husband James in 2009. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sons: Walter of North West Brook, Enos (Gloria) of Clarenville, and Ralph (Edna) of North West Brook; daughters: Liz Barrett of Alberta, Jane Wade (Harold) of Mount Pearl, Emma Holloway (Hedley) of Lethbridge, Lisa Barrett (Dean Wiseman) of Musgravetown, Beverly Hobbs (Colin) of Lethbridge, Rose Barrett (John Drodge) of Little Hearts Ease and Sandra Keats (Melbourne) of North West Brook; 24 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren plus a large circle of other family and friends. Funeral was officiated by Rev. Russell Lodge from Emmanuel United Church, North West Brook on Sunday April 27, 2014 with interment following at United Church Cemetery, North West Brook. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Blundons Funeral Home, Shoal Harbour.

, age 57, passed peacefully but suddenly away at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on April 20, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was a kind and loving soul who was predeceased by her husband, Joshua and mother, Irene. Doreen had a huge heart and one of her biggest joys was caring for the children in her life. She had a young imagination, was known for her beautiful smile, a positive personality and touched the hearts of many. She leaves behind her father, Charles; brothers, Chesley (Lela), Bruce (Lynette), Everett (Adelaide) and Graham (Debbie); sisters, Margaret Hampton (Wycliff) and Audrey Stringer (Brian); also extended family including many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by her father, Ambrose and brother, Gerald Spurrell. Left with fond and loving memories, husband Keith; daughter Tanya & son-in-law Terry Spurrell; two precious grandchildren, Lily & Luke; mother, Rosaline; sisters Alfreda (Ron), Dora (Rocky), Sharon (William); brothers, Rupert (Mary), Henry (Audrey), Warrick (Annie) ; mother-in-law Reubina; and a large circle of family and friends. It is with great sadness the family of the late Jacob James Cramm, age 67, from North West Brook, announce his peaceful passing at the Health Science Complex, St. John's on April 19, 2014. Predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Caroline Cramm. Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories are his wife, Vera; children, Tony, Julie (Damond) and Natalie (Angus); grandchildren, Jessica, Joey, Candace, Madison, Samantha, Kyle, Gavin and Grayson; brothers, Elmer and Bram (Roxanne); sister, Dianne (Gord) and many other relatives and friends. Passed peacefully away on April 24, 2014 at his home in Port Rexton, surrounded by his wife, children & grandchildren. Alvin Piercey in his 74th year, leaving to mourn his loving wife Lorraine, Daughter Lisa (Peter), three sons - Jeff (Arlene), Scott and Shawn, four grandsons - Luke, Benjamin, Joshua and Gabe, one granddaughter Samantha and one great grandson Hunter. Three sisters - Shirley (Ernest), Glenys (Richard), Carol (Nephew Steven), one brother Harold (Peggy), plus a large number of nephews and nieces, relatives and a large circle of friends both far and near. At his request cremation has taken place, he rested at Fewer's Funeral Home in Clarenville, and memorial service took place on April 28, 2014 from Christ Church Port Rexton with interment at the Anglican Cemetery Port Rexton.

Passed peacefully away at Gander on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 Leah Adams of Milton aged 88 years. Predeceased by her husband Harold; parents Walter and Eliza Miller; brother Jacob. Left with fond and loving memories her children; Gail (Dave), Gander and Jim (Lori), Red Deer, AB; grandchildren B.J Norris (Janine), Ricky Stanley (Shannon), Lori-lynn Stanley (Ryan), Sheldon Adams (Savannah), great grandchildren Claire, Dominic, Brayden, Dakota, Brooklyn, Jysanha; sisters Ethel Coish, Burgoyne's Cove, Priscilla Day, Burgoyne's Cove and a large circle of neices, nephews, family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral Service took place 2 pm on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the United Church, Shoal Harbour with interment at Milton George's Brook Cemetery.

Passed away suddenly at Placentia Hospital on Saturday, April 26, 2014, George Thomas of Shoal Harbour, aged 74 years. Predeceased by son-in-law Thomas Walsh and brothers Nelson Thomas and Gordon Thomas. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Hampton Marjorie of 52 years; daughters Judy Walsh, Fredericton, NB, Gail (Sheldon Kobewka), Winnipeg, MB and Amanda (Justin Jennings), Shoal Harbour; sons Glenn (Florence), St. John's, Keith (Pauline), Fredericton, NB and Curtis (Angela), Ottawa, ON; nine grandchildren; sisters Gloria (Murdock Nadeau) and Judith (Jerry Fequet), both of St. Paul's River, QC; brother Lloyd (Joan), St. Paul's River, QC; step-brothers Brian (Sharon) and Ross (Brenda), both of Lennoxville, QC; sister-in-law Joyce Thomas, Codroy Valley, and a large circle of family and friends. Cremation has taken place. A gathering of family and close friends took place at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville on Sunday, May 4, 2014. In his memory donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.

Rested at Emmanuel United Church, Charlottetown. Funeral service took place 2 P.M. on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at the Emmanuel United Church, Charlottetown with interment at the Community Cemetery, Charlottetown.

Predeceased by first husband Capt. John Fiander (1991), infant baby Theresa; parents Vivian and Stanley Savoury; brothers Frank and Gerald. Left with fond and loving memories her husband Rex of 11 years; son John (Vida); daughter Bessie (Elroy); grandchildren Dora-leigh (Jimmy), Adam, Kelsey and Reanna; a very large circle of loving family (Savoury, Fiander and Lockyer) and friends. Rested at St. Matthew's Anglican Church, North Harbour. Funeral service took place on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at St. Matthew's Anglican Church with interment at Anglican Cemetery, North Harbour. P. Roger Janes
of Traytown, NL (formerly of Clarenville NL), passed away suddenly at Dartmouth, NS on May 13, 2014, age 86 yrs. Predeceased by sisters Vera Meenan and Isabel Janes, brother George Janes and brothers-in-law Robert Meenan and Gary Ivany. Lovingly remembered by his wife Olive (Young), sister Violetta (Babs) Ivany, Ottawa, brother John Janes (Ada), Clarenville, sister-in-law Reta Phillips, Clarenville; brother-in-law Allan Young (Marie), Twillingate, nieces Doreen Dalley, Linda Murray, Susan Rooney, Dian Brady, Katherine Ferris, Elizabeth Sutton, Doreen de Munnik, Karen Currie, and nephews Robert Janes and Gerald Ivany. Also several great nieces and great nephews whom he adored, as well as a special cousin Sadie Thistle and many friends throughout Canada and the United States. His career spanned 35 years with the Newfoundland Health Department and at retirement he was the administrator of the Gander Hospital District. A Memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at the Memorial United Church, Clarenville, NL on Saturday, June 28, at 2pm. Inurnment at the United Church Cemetery, Clarenville. Donations in his memory may be made to the Memorial United Church, Clarenville.
Roger was well known for his love of people and music. He will be greatly missed by many.

Wade Chesley Larson Blundon

Passed away suddenly at his home in Clarenville on Monday, May 19, 2014, Wade Blundon aged 54 years. Predeceased by his father Edward, Infant Baby Son, brother Keith, and nephew Patrick Adams. Left with fond and loving memories, his wife Marian of 30 years; children Ashley (Wayne Russill) and Brittany (Jon Best); grandchildren Aaliyah Best and Cale Russill; mother Ethel, brother Kevin (Denise), sisters Wanda (Dave Hynes), Kathy (Craig Haines) and Beverley (Todd Winsor); sisters-in-law Leona (Dave Brake), Betty (Lloyd Cokes) and Anne Cox, brothers-in-law Owen (Lucy), Ed Cox, Calvin Cox (Liz), Chris Cox (Georgina) and Jack Cox; aunts Vinie Martin (Lloyd), Linda Lethbridge, Gladys Blundon, Joan Brennan, and uncle Watson Blundon (Vernice); nieces Megan, Chantille, Kathleen, Kiana, Michelle, Deanna, Glenda, Samantha, Jennifer, Kimberley, Natasha, and Holly; nephews Christopher Hynes, Michael, Mitchell, Chad, Jordan, Shane, Dave, Riley, Marcus, Steve, Jeremy, John, Garland, Josh, Christopher Cox, and a large circle of friends and family. Resting at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service took place on Friday, May 23, 2014 at Memorial United Church, Clarenville. Cremation has taken place with interment at a later date.

Passed away at Golden Heights Manor, Bonavista on Thursday, May 8, 2014, Roy Price of Port Rexton, aged 98 years. Predeceased by wife Marguerite, 56 years of marriage. Left with fond and loving memories his son Rodney (Carole), Pickering, ON; granddaughter Melissa (Bradley); brother James (Jim) and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Christ Church, Port Rexton. Funeral service took place on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Christ Church, Port Rexton with interment at Trinity East - Port Rexton Cemetery. In his memory donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
