Passed peacefully away surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer at the Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Wednesday, April 27, 2011, Everett Drodge of Little Hearts Ease, aged 76 years. Predeceased by first wife Selina of 51 years. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Marion of 4 years; his children Evangeline, Faye (Patti), Rick (Robert), Graham (Valerie), Peter (Rick), Kate (Junior), Eloise (Jamie) and Louise (Lee); thirteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; step-children Mel Whalen (Sheila), Kaye McCammon (Alex) and Randy Whalen; five step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; sisters Alma Whalen (Fred) and Florence Dodge (Clyde Russell); brother-in-law Eli Spurrell; close family friends Don & Vera Dawe and a large circle of relatives and friends. Passed peacefully away surrounded by her family on Thursday, April 21, 2011, Mildred (Linthorne) Brown, aged 81 years and 8 months. Predeceased by her parents William and Amelia Linthorne, sister Violet Butler and baby sisters Frances and Virtue Linthorne. Leaving to mourn her devoted husband of 59 years, Bennett Brown; son Ross; daughters: Sandra (Wade) Hiscock, and Rosalie (Tom) Lydiate; granddaughters: Shaunna Brown, Jahradd Williams, Julia and Jennifer Hiscock, Sophia and Katie Lydiate; brother Calvin (Daisy) Linthorne; sister-n-law Pearl Brown; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation took place at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl from 7-9 p.m. on Friday and continued at Strathie's Funeral Home, Bonavista, from 3-9 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. - 12 noon on Sunday. Funeral Service was held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, 2011 from Memorial United Church, Bonavista. Interment followed at Lookout Cemetery.
