JONES, CHRISTINIA (FRYE) - Died peacefully in her sleep on Friday, April 27, 2007 at Balleycliffe Lodge, Ajax, Ontario, at the age of 95 years. Born in Summerville, Newfoundland, December 18, 1911, she is predeceased by parents Annie Jane (Lane) and Jethro Frye; stepmother Esther (Lane) Frye; sisters: Elizabeth Purchase, Alfreda Noble, Blanche Purchase, Annie Fogwell, Gladys Howse, Shirley Holloway, Margaret Reader; stepsisters: Elizabeth Abbott and Martha Harris; brothers: John and Augustus Frye; step brothers: John, William, Horace, Richard (Dick) Lane; also a stepbrother and dear friend Harry Lane and wife Evelyn. Survived by sister Pauline Freeman, Norris Arm, sister-in-law Lily Frye, Summerville, and stepsister Ann Lane, Mississauga, Ontario. Also many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Christina lived in Toronto for many years but remained a proud Newfoundlander. Funeral service was at Turner and Porter Funeral Home, 436 Roncesdalles Avenue (Howard Park) on Sunday, April 29 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow with interment at Summerville Anglican Church, Newfoundland at a later date. If desired, donations may be made in her memory to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or to a charity of ones choice.

INGRAM, Berkley Allen - Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville, NL, on Friday, April 27th, 2007, Berkley Allen Ingram of Arnold's Cove, in his 96th year. Predeceased by parents Samuel and Elizabeth Allen (Woody Island), adopted parents Walter and Isabella Ingram (Harbour Buffet), brothers, Hubert, Walter and sister Violet. Leaving to mourn his wife of 68 years, Lily 'Frances' (Best); two sons, Norman, Regina (Noseworthy), Swift Current, NL, Gordon, Janet (Hookey), QC. Six grandchildren: Wanda Lee (Norman Jamieson), Hinchinbrooke, QC, Carol Anne Collins, (Steven Leadbetter), Truro, NS, Deborah Lynn Ingram, (Marc Beaudoin), Lafontaine, ON, Scott(Katherine Britt), Montreal, QC, Wendy (Andrew MacDonald) Godmanchester, QC, Joanne (Adam Armstrong), Ottawa, ON. Five great-grand children: Stacey, Justin, Amanda, Maximillian and Michelle Lynn. Sisters, Ivy Pittman (Sam), Whitbourne, NL, Vera Parsons (Ches) Curling, NL Marie Dicks (Jim), Harbour Grace, NL, Jaunita Mullens (Don), Lark Harbour, NL. Sister-in-law Rowena Peach (Otto). Special nephew Raymond Allen, and a number of nieces, nephews and friends. Remains rested at Fewer's Funeral Home in Arnold's Cove. Funeral took place on Monday, April 30th, 2007 at First United Church in Arnold's Cove with interment in Come By Chance Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Gwen Warren Dialysis Fund.

KIRBY - Passed peacefully away in Calgary on May 1, 2007 Loretta Louise Kirby in her 55th year. Predeceased by her mother Frances; father Kenneth; brother Roy. Left to mourn her son Darren of Torbay, NL and her daughter Shelley (Danny); grandchildren Kyle and Miranda of Chestermere, AB and a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral service to be held at Port Blandford at 2 p. m. on Tuesday, May 8, 2007. Arrangements entrusted to Fewer's Funeral Home.

STANLEY, Jean - Passed peacefully away after a lengthy illness at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Tuesday, May 1, 2007, Jean Stanley of Clarenville, formerly of Grand Falls, aged 62 years. Predeceased by her daughter Tracy Lyna; mother Hilda Peddle, sister Kay Larcombe, broth ers Leroy and Glen. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Bob of 43 years; children Connie Stagg, Janine Guerin, Robert, Tammy McPhee, Trevor and their families; her father Roy Peddle; sisters Margaret Parrott and Maxine Barnacle; brothers Lloyd Peddle and Garry Peddle; grandchildren: Mark, Miranda, Andrew, Alicia, Jessica, Jordan, Jeremy, Logan, Megan, Sarah and Kayla; and a large number of relatives and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 5, 2007 from Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville with interment at United Church Cemetery, Shoal Harbour.

BARRETT, Joyce - Passed away suddenly at her residence on Monday, May 7, 2007, Joyce Barrett (nee Berkshire) of Arnold's Cove, aged 52 years. Predeceased by her father Maynard Berkshire and granddaughter Melinda Barrett. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Eugene of 34 years; son Christopher (Barbara), Arnold's Cove; daughter Jeannie Barrett (Jamie Hobbs), Arnold's Cove; mother Caroline Berkshire, Arnold's Cove; sister Marie Holden (Christopher), Arnold's Cove; brother Baxter Berkshire (Frances), Arnold's Cove; granddaughter Kaitlyn Hobbs; special aunt Elsie Upshall and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Arnold's Cove. Funeral service held Saturday, May 12, 2007 from Pentecostal Church, Arnold's Cove with interment at Arnold's Cove Interfaith Cemetery.

HART, Aubrey - Passed away suddenly at Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Wednesday, May 9, 2007, Aubrey Hart of Clarenville, formerly of Fogo, aged 66 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Joan of 40 years; children: Arlene Payne (Terry), Deanne, Dannette Dove (Les), J.J. and Nicole (Mike); sisters: Greta Simms and Phyllis Newell; grandchildren: Santana, Samarra, Jessica, Jennifer and Megan and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. Memorial service to take place at St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Fogo at a later date.

CHAULK - Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on May 1, 2007, David Franklin Chaulk, age 62, from North West Brook. Predeceased by daughter, Jennifer. Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories are his wife, Myrtle; son, Deon (Cocoa); daughter, Suzette (Darren Cooper); grandchildren: Colton, Brady and Tanisha; Domnick and Blake; brothers: Fred (Ivy), George (Bessie); sisters: Loretta (Wilfred Temple), Mary Ryder, Kate Emerson, Rose Winkleman and many other relatives and friends. Rested at Zion Pentecostal Church from where the funeral service, officiated by Pastor Dale Mercer, took place on Thursday, May 3, 2007. OLDFORD: We regret to announce the peaceful passing of James Oldford, age 93, from Red Cliff, at the Bonavista Hospital on May 9, 2007. Predeceased by parents, Annie and Silas and four brothers. Jim leaves to mourn his loving wife, Carrie (Caroline), son Lloyd; daughters Elizabeth (Robert) and Phyllis (Dennis); daughter-in-law Beth; grandchildren Scott (Angela), Christopher (Kristy), Lisa (Steven), Stephen (Shari), Mark, Jeff and Brad; great-grandchildren Lily and Reagan; nieces Rosalie (Kevin), Stella (Keiran); special friend and Captain John Russell. Rested at the St. Michael's Anglican Church from where the funeral service, officiated by Reverend N. Gillam, took place on Saturday, May 12,2007 with interment following. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Olive of 54 years; daughter Elsie Vey (Bruce), George's Brook; son-in-law Doug Strong, Clarenville; sister Minnie Fowlie (Doug), New Brunswick; sister-in-law Ella Blundon, Clarenville; brothers George (Alma), Alberta and Gordon (Mary), Ontario; grandchildren Debbie, Edward and Jessica and a large circle of family and friends. HIGGINS, Mary - Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G.B Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville on Friday, May 11, 2007 Mary Higgins of Port Blandford aged 72 years. Left with fond and loving memories her husband Fred of 56 years; children: Linda Pardy (Herb) of Port Blandford Jim (Sami) of Kitchener, Ontario, Eileen Normore (Llew) of Port Blandford, Gord (Colleen) of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Wayne of Montreal, Quebec, Rose Penney (Dennis) of Canning's Cove, Beverley Penney (Albert) of Canning's Cove, Mary Higgins Osmond (Owen) of Moncton, New Brunswick, Wilson Higgins (Linda) of Port Blandford; sisters Rose Martin (Dothan) of Bunyan's Cove, Jane Hunt (Carl) of Clarenville, Sue Spurrell (Cluny) of Chamberlains, NL; sister-in-law Greta Holloway of Labrador; 24 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and a large number of relatives and friends. Rested at St. Aidan's Anglican Church in Port Blandford. Funeral took place on Monday May 14, 2007 from St. Aidan's Anglican Church, Port Blandford with interment in the Anglican Cemetery in Port Blandford. HOWSE: Passed away at G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital on May 8, 2007, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, Mildred Eliza Howse, aged 84 years, of Queen's Cove. Predeceased by infant daughter, Mildred; parents John and Janie Goobie; brother James and grandson Michael. Left to mourn are her husband of 60 years, Albert; three sons, Winston (Renee), Max (Louise) and Paul (Dianne), six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Rested at the United Church, Queen's Cove from where the funeral service, officiated by Reverend G. Jarvis, took place on Friday, May 11 with interment following. ELLIS, Maggie - Passed peacefully away at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Tuesday, May 15, 2007, Maggie Ellis of Lethbridge who resided at Greenwood Rest Home, Musgravetown, aged 84 years. Predeceased by her husband Samuel; great-grandson Gary Pye and daughter-in-law Audrey. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughter Nina Holloway (Eldon); sons Roland and Undo Mildred); sisters Violet Stanley (John), Bessie Chaulk George), Pearl Ellis and Emma Stanley (Jack); brothers Herbert (Elizabeth) and Meryl (Jessie); 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Lethbridge. Funeral service held on Friday, May 18, 2007 from Seventh Day Adventist Church, Lethbridge with interment at Seventh Day Adventist Cemetery, Lethbridge.

MARTIN, Wilbur - Passed peacefully away at the L.A. Miller Centre in St. John's on Saturday, May 12, 2007 Wilbur Martin of Bunyan's Cove aged 82 years. Predeceased by his wife Frances, on Steven and daughter Ruby. Left with fond and loving memories his daughter Jean Reid Ray) of Shoal Harbour; son Bob of Flatrock, daughter-in-law Sylvia Martin, Shoal Harbour; aunt Elizabeth Piccott, grandchildren; Paul Currie, Peter Currie, Sheldon Martin, Jamie Martin, Cindy Bailey; great-grandchildren Justin Currie, Amanda Currie, Ryan Currie, Adam Currie and a large number of relatives and friends, rested at the United Church in Bunyan's Cove, funeral service held Tuesday, May 15, 2007 from the United Church in Bunyan's Cove. WHALEN, Lillian - Passed peacefully away at Hoyles- Escasoni Complex, St. John's on Tuesday May 10, 2007, Lillian Whalen of Caplin Cove, aged 83 years. Predeceased by husband Nathanial Sr. (1990); sons Nathanial Jr. (2000) and Paul (1961). Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughters Betty Stringer, Little Hearts Ease, Mary Lawlor (Francis), St. John's, Lillian Drover (Ted), Labrador City, Sylvia Lambert (Randy), Labrador City, Marlene Barren (Ronnie), Wabush and Darlene Taylor (Brad), Labrador City; sons Edward (Anne), Little Heart's Ease, Edgar (Alison), St. John's, Lyndon (Daisy), St. John's, Albert (Beverly), Labrador City, and Paul (Denise), St. John's; daughter-in- law Carolanne Whalen, Caplin Cove; 30 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and a large circle of family and friends. HOLLOWAY, James Harrison
(July 8, 1937 - May 18, 2007)

Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital on Friday May 18, 2007, James Holloway of Clarenville, formerly of Lethbridge, in his 69th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Joan; sons Phillip Hancock and wife Elizabeth of Lethbridge, Gordon Hancock and wife Marjorie of Dunville and Dennis Holloway and Florentine of Clarenville; daughters Vickie Hancock of Clarenville and Angela Holloway of Clarenville; 12 grand children and sister Daisy Oldford of Sandringham; plus a large circle of family and friends. Funeral service was officiated by Pastor Dennis Newbury from Emmanuel Pentecostal Church, George's Brook on May 21, 2007 with interment following at Milton/George's Brook Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Barry Langdon, Wilbert Blake, Gary Holloway, Wallace Simmonds, Robert Little and Craig Pond. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Blundon's Funeral Home, Shoal Harbour.

FAULKNER, Eric
(November 1, 1945-May 4, 2007)

Passed away at Bonavista Hospital, Eric Faulkner in his 61st year. Leaving to mourn his wife Linda of 38 years, two daughters; Angela and Prescilla, one son Christopher, seven grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends.
