GARDNER, Leander- Passed peacefully away at his residence in Harcourt on Friday, February 26, 2010, Leander Gardner, aged 75 years. Predeceased by his parents Walter and Jessie Gardner; brothers Ted, Llewelyn and Edward; sisters Effie, Olive, Barbara and Anne Belle. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Gloria; son Walter John; sisters Lillian (Giles) and Leone; brother Harold (Effie) and a large number of relatives and friends. Rested at United Church, Harcourt. Funeral service took place on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at United Church, Harcourt with interment at United Cemetery, Harcourt.

BAKER, Eleazer Wilson- Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on February 20, 2010 Eleazer Wilson Baker of Hodges Cove age 80 years. Leaving to mourn sons Eldon (Linda), Rick (Sylvia), Floyd (Jennifer); daughters Linda (Albert), Janette (Cyril), Kim (Dave); brothers Hayward (Marion), Ralph (Lorraine), John (Joan), William (Janet); sister Dorothy (John). Predeceased by parents Thomas and Annie Baker, wife Mae, grandson Evan and sister Hannah Jane. Rested at St. Andrews United Church Hodges Cove. Interment at the United Church Cemetery, Hodges Cove. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Vardy's Funeral Home, Random Island.

HOLLOWAY, Kesiah- Passed peacefully away at Bonavista Hospital on Wednesday, February 24, 2010, Kesiah Holloway of Bloomfield, aged 87 years. Predeceased by husbands Lloyd Muggridge and Andrew Holloway; parents Mabel (Cuff) & Eli John Holloway; sisters Beryl, Maisie & Minnie (Blundon) and brother Albert Holloway Left with fond and loving memories her children Geoffrey (Katherine) Muggridge, Bloomfield, Donald (Maxine) Muggridge, Lethbridge and Dianne Greening (Roy Bonnell), Clarenville; seven grandchildren Michael (Peggy) Muggridge, Labrador City, Daniel (Trudy) Muggridge, Morden, MB, Angela (Braden) Boucher, Morden, MB, Michelle Muggridge (Rick Roy), Kentville, NS, Chantil (Desmond) Cooper, Middle Sackville, NS, Jason (Tricia) Greening, Grand Prairie, AB, Mitchell (Joanne) Greening, Grand Prairie, AB; great grand children Chloe, Becca, Robyn, Tara, Griffin, Keane, Andrew, and Bradley; sister Edna Smart; brother Herman (Rhodena) Holloway; sisters-in-law Rita Perry, Muriel Wicks, Hildred Collins, Cora Holloway, Myra Sheppard, & Mary (Harold) Holloway and brother-in-law Clayton Muggridge and a large circle of relatives and friends. Special friends Loretta and Harold Peddle. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Lethbridge. Funeral service took place on Sunday, February 28, 2010 at Heritage United Church, Musgravetown with interment at United Church Cemetery, Musgravetown.

AVERY - Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville on Wednesday, March 10, 2010, Mary M. Avery of Clarenville, aged 85 years. Predeceased by husband Ronald; parents Joseph and Alice Smith; son Victor, grandsons Justin and Jonathan; and sisters Annie and Rita. Left with fond and loving memories are sons Lloyd (Peggy) and Craig (Denise); daughter Jennifer (Ralph) Smith; daughter-in-law Diane; brothers Roy (Doris), Victor, and Ben (Pearl); sisters Gwen (Vivian), Muriel (Ed), and Bernice (Bill); grandchildren Keith (Lynette), Karen, Ashley, Brittany, Grant (Nancy), Jason (Stephanie), Kelly (Brian), Kristen and Kimberly; great-grandchildren Nathan, Sophia, Callie and Lana; along with a large number of relatives and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service took place on Friday, March 12, 2010 from St. Mary's Anglican Church in Clarenville with interment at the United Church Cemetery, Church Hill Road, Clarenville. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Mary's Anglican Church or the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital.

HARRIS - Passed peacefully away at the Hoyles-Escasoni Complex, St. John's, on March 5, 2010, Charles Harris, age 72 years. Predeceased by his wife, Loretta (1997). Leaving to mourn his son, Marc; his daughter, Lori Harris Earle (Shane); grandchildren, Jack and Matt, as well as his brothers and sisters; other relatives and friends. Rested at Barrett's Funeral Home and the Anglican Church, Hatchet Cove from where the funeral service took place on March 9, 2010 with interment following. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Vardy's Funeral Home, Random Island.

KING - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Annie Barbara King, age 73, from Trouty, at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on March 7, 2010. Predeceased by parents, James and Harriet Miller; husband, George King; son, Clifford King; sisters, Lora Miller, Joan Coles; brother, Lewis Miller. Leaving to mourn, children; Chris King (Rhonda), Sharon King (Wayne), Chuck King (Paulette); grandchildren, Robin Ryan (Bradley), Carla King (Ben), Devan Vokey (Crystal), Haylie Vokey, Courtney King, Daniel King; great grandchildren, Brandon Ryan, Nathan Ryan, Hannah Vokey, Annie Vokey; sister, Rowena Johnson (Emil- deceased); brother, Lloyd Miller (Annette); brother-in-law, Curt Coles; sisters-in-law, Doris Miller (Joe- deceased), Emily Bailey (Bob) Emma Martin (John) , Daphne Miller and many other relatives and friends. Rested at the Mortuary Chapel, Trinity. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Chuck Lockhart, took place from St. Pauls Anglican Church, Trinity on March 11, 2010 with interment following at the Anglican cemetery, Trouty. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Vardy's Funeral Home, Random Island.

STAGG - Passed away at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville, on March 7, 2010, Audrey Yvonne Stagg, age 68 from Catalina. Predeceased by husband , Warren. Leaving to mourn, sons, Brian (Angela), Michael (Susanne), Darrell (Pauline); daughter, Kimberly (Curtis); mother, Phyllis Piercey; sisters, Donna Haynes (Roy), Marilyn Miller (Brian); sister-in-law, Patsy Piercey; grandchildren, Kelly Piercey, Shane Piercey, Colin Colins, Logan Wedel; great grandchildren, Jacob Piercey, Taya Sharpe and many other relatives and friends. A memorial service, officiated by Rev'd Eric R. Squires, was held from the Anglican Church, Catalina on March 12, 2010 with interment following. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Vardy's Funeral Home, Random Island.

SEWARD - Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Saturday March 20, 2010 Ernest Finmore Seward, aged 91 years of Gooseberry Cove. Predeceased by daughter Ena Kuehni; granddaughter Cindy Paton; brothers Simeon, Edgar and Jack. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Jane of 67 years; sons Clarence (Joyce), Claude (Valerie), Max (Veronica), Graham (Audrey), Vivian (Peggy); daughters Gloria (Otto), Wanda( Mike), Vera (Gerald), Sylvia (Dave); son in law Al Kuehni; sister Mary Spurrell; 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Little Hearts Ease. Funeral service took place from Bethany United Church, Southport on Monday, March 22, 2010 with interment at the Bethany United Cemetery. In his memory donations may be made to the Bethany United Church, Southport.

PHILPOT - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Theresa Philpot, age 67, from Portland, at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville, on March 17, 2010. Predeceased by parents, Arthur and Rebecca Oldford and brother, Fenton Oldford. Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories are her husband, James; daughter, Cynthia; sister-in-law, Eileen Oldford; nieces, Michele Keats and family and Connie Diamond and family. Rested at the United Church, Portland, from where the funeral service, officiated by Rev. T. Russell Lodge, assisted by Rev. Harry Templeman, took place on Saturday, March 20, 2010 with interment following. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Vardy's Funeral Home, Random Island
