BAKER, Raymond William - Passed peacefully away at the Bonavista Peninsula Health Center, Bonavista, NL on Wednesday, February 20, 2008, Raymond William Baker of Newman's NL, age 82 years. Predeceased by his parents Esau and Phoebe Baker; brothers Donald and Heber; sisters Edith and Maud. Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories are his wife of 60 years Annie; brothers Ranee and George; daughter Dallas (friend Don Collins); sons Rupert (Florence), Gerry (Anthea), Clifford (Debbie); six grandchildren Michelle, Melissa, Kirsten, Cameron, Spencer and Riley; one great-grandchild Seamus, as well as, a large circle of extended family and friends. Rested at St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Newman's Cove, NL, from where the funeral service, officiated by Reverend Eric Squires, was held on Friday, February 22, 2008 with interment following. BOWEN, Albert Lionel - Passed peacefully away at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Wednesday, February 27, 2008, after a lengthy illness, Albert Lionel Bowen of Brooklyn, formerly of Winterbrook, aged 79 years. Predeceased by daughter Karen Bailey; parents Lionel and Rebecca and sister Sarah Smith. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Theodora of 50 years; daughter Sarah Little (Ronald), Whitecourt, AB; special grandson Michael Bailey; grandchildren Dawn Blundon (Jeff), Bloomfield, Stephen Bailey (Megan), Lethbridge, Richard Little and Megan Little, Whitecourt, AB; great-grandchildren Brandon and Brianna Blundon; son-in-law Robert Bailey, Lethbridge; sister Laura Sceviour, St. John's; brothers Eric Bowen (Joan), Pasadena and Eli Bowen (Susie), Greenwood, NS; special aunt Mrs. Bessie Ralph, Winterbrook and a large circle of relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service was held on Sunday, March 2, 2008 from Anglican Church, Lethbridge with interment at Anglican Cemetery, Lethbridge.

BURSEY-MORRIS, Mary Jane -- Passed peacefully away at Rouge Valley Centenary Hospital, Toronto, ON, on Monday, February 25, 2008, Mary Jane Morris of North West Brook, aged 88 years. Predeceased by husbands Moses Bursey and Edward Morris and son Donald Bursey. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories granddaughters Patty Lou Rideout (Blaine), Ajax, ON and Roxanne Bursey, Scarborough, ON; great-grandchildren Peter, Alexander, Melissa and Martina; daughter-in-law Dorothy (John Butt), Scarborough, ON and a circle of relatives and friends. Rested at United Church, North West Brook. Funeral service took place on Friday, February 29, 2008 from United Church, North West Brook with interment at United Cemetery, North West Brook.

BALSOM, Duncan - Passed away at his home on Tuesday, February 26, 2008, Duncan Balsom of Hodges Cove, aged 75 years. Predeceased by parents Doris (Smith) and Daniel Balsom; brother Fredrick and sister Nina. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Caroline (Carrie); children Valerie (Harry), Debbie (Russ), Bramwell (Debbie), Clyde (Kristen), David (Agatha) and Matthew (Niki); grandchildren Jodie, Jennifer, Anderson, Brooke, Dolorosa and Katherine; great-grandchildren Mackenzie, Tyler and Leslie; brothers William and Edwin; sisters Nita and .Annie; aunts Annie and Florence and many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by son, John; father, Garfield Hollett; brothers, Chesley and Lambert Hollett and sister, Jessie Butler. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband, Jack of 39 years; daughter, Noreen Reid (Howard), Sunnyside and Trina Guy (Winston), Arnold's Cove; son, Derwin (Pamela), Sunnyside; mother, Alice Hollett, Foxtrap; sister, Beatrice Butler (Hubert), Seal Cove and Mary Paul (Jerome), Badger; brother, Freeman Hollett (Sheila), Arnold's Cove; grandchildren, Keesha and Brandy and a large circle of relatives and friends. Rested at the United Church, Sunnyside. Funeral service held on Friday, March 7, 2008 at the United Church, Sunnyside with interment at United Cemetery, Sunnyside.

GREEN, Nellie Marina - Passed quietly away at her home on Monday, March 3, 2008, Nellie Marina Green of Port Blandford, aged 72 years. Predeceased by parents, Job Knee and Rose Blanche Blackmore; brothers, Aubrey, George and Donald (Elsie) Blackmore; sisters, Molly Munro (Doug) and Beverley (Jack) Tennent; sister-in-law, Barbara Blackmore and brothers-in-law, Gilbert Thompson, Gordon Green and Maurice Green. STONE, Ivy Loretta (nee Walters) - Passed peacefully away at the Hoyles Escasoni Complex on Saturday, March 8, 2008, Ivy Stone, age 86 years. Predeceased by husband Ralph W. Stone; sister Violet Stanley (Gordon); brother Heber Walters. Left with fond and loving memories her son Lloyd (Barbara); grandchildren Warren (Cheryl); Marc (Lynn) and Taryn (Keith); as well as five great-grandchildren; sisters Dora Pepper, Grace (Donald Prouth), Kay (Al Roberts); sisters-in-law Jessie Walters and Peg Ploughman; brother-in-law Doyle Stone (Rmily); many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. A private family service was held on Sunday, March 9 with cremation following. A memorial service and interment will take place at a later date at Vardy's Funeral Home, Hickman's Harbour, Random Island. STRONG, James "Jimmy" Edmund - Passed away suddenly it Lakeridge Health, Oshawa, Ontario on March 18, 2008 at the age of 85. He was a long-time resident of Clarenville, Newfoundland and worked for 42 years with CN Rail before retiring in 1983. Jim has been a loving and devoted husband of Jessie for 61 years and father of Ruth (Bryan), Barbara (Ron), 3aul (Joan), Lorna and Michael. Predeceased by his parents, Herbert and Annie and brothers, Bob, Bill, Charles, and Roy. Brother of Don, Jean Tilley, and Rona Baker. Lovingly remem-3ered by his grandchildren, Nicole, David, Dwayne, Tara, Robert, Jason, Karla, Benjamin and his great-grandchildren, Dylan and Chloe. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville, Newfoundland. Predeceased parents, Charles and Amelia Ellis; sisters, Doris Brown and Violet Dalton; and son, Bruce. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife, Daisy of 50 years; daughters, Edna (Nelson Stanley), George's Brook, Edith (Calvert Phillips), Edmonton, AB and Audrey (Rick Russell), Shoal Harbour; sons, Danny (Lovetta), George's Brook and Darren (Wanda), Lumsden; sister, Edith (Bob Holliday), British Columbia; 13 gandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a large circle of relatives and friends.
