HOLLOWAY, Clarice
Passed peacefully away at Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Monday, May 26, 2003, Clarice Holloway of Milton, aged 84 years. Predeceased by her husband, Bryce; brother, William; and sister, Effie. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughters, Rosalind (Chick Cholock) at Clarenville, Doreen (Barry Beazley) at Halifax, NS and Georgina Holloway (Gerry Ternan) at Mineville, NS; sons, Reginald (Peg) at Kelligrews and Wilfred (Gail) at Milton; grandchildren, Karen, Connie, Todd, Steven, Peter, Robyn, Mark, Mitzi, John and Rodney; great-grandchildren, Justin, Krysta, Johnaton, Jeffrey, Mark, Michael, Kristopher, Andrew, Braedon, Brandon and Kylie; sister, Phyllis (the late Chesley Rowe) at Mount Pearl; brother-in-law, Alec Stanley at Labrador City; and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewet's Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service held on Thursday, May 20, 2003, from Milton-George's Brook United Church with interment at Milton-George's Brook United Cemetery. In her memory donations may be made to the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital.

WAREHAM, Lynda May
Passed away peacefully on May 24, 2003 at the age of 88 after a short battle with cancer. Loving mother of Kevin. Lovingly remembered by Dawn and Brenda; sisters, Evelyn, Lucy, Doris, Edna and brother, Baxter. Special thanks for the care and support of Dr. Harvey Pasternak, nurse Maria Ramos and the Etobicoke, C.C.A.C. A funeral service was held at Prospect Cemetery Chapel (1450 St. Clair Ave.. at Lansdowne) on Wednesday, May 28, 2003 at 1 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Toronto Grace Hospital, Palliative Care Program would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to The Simple Alternative, 905-602-1580.

BALSOM, David L. C.
Passed peacefully away on May 27, 2003, at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital after a short illness, David L. C. Balsom of Deep Bight, at the age of 73 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and lov­ing memories wife, Shirley; five daughters, Denise Miles (Rodney), Colleen Price (Dale), Bonnita Vey (George),Ruby Vatcher.{Calvin) and Donna Petric (Frank); two sons, Ralph (Connie) and Paul (Lorraine); 14 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren two brothers, four sisters and a large circle of family and friends. Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 31, 2003, from Zion Pentecostal Church with interment at Zion Pentecostal Cemetery, North West Brook.

BAKER, Guy
(Retired chief Warrent Ofticer with the Royal Canadian Air Force for 37 years)
Passed peacefully, with his family by his side, on Monday, June 2, 2003, in his 66th year. Predeceased by his wife of 37 years Penny (1991); and son-in-law, Paul Garrett. Dear father of Deanna Garrett of Dartmouth, NS; Valda Thomey (Peter) of Bon Accord, AB; Lynn Robertson (Don) of Ancaster, ON; and step-daughter, Belynda Blyth of Toronto, ON. Will be greatly missed by his wife of nine years Glennys. Loving grandfather of Christina, Adam, Laura, Mitchell, John, Matthew; and step-grandson, Jackson. Survived by brothers, Edmund (Alma) of Buchans, NL; Velmoore (Myrtus) of Toronto, ON; Merrill (Annette) of Clarenville, NL; and sister, Merrilyn Head of White Court, AB. Funeral service took place at the Dodsworth & Brown Funeral Home, Ancaster Chapel, 378 Wilson Street East (905-648-3852) on Wednesday, June 4, 2003, followed by cremation. Interment of cremated remains took place at Union Cemetery, North Bay, ON on Friday, June 6, 2003. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

PIERCEY, Elmo
Passed peacefully away at Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville, on Tuesday, June 3, 2003, Elmo Piercey of Clarenville, formerly of Champney's East, Trinity Bay, aged 71 years. Predeceased by his parents, Elizabeth and Roy Piercey; and step-brother, Clyde Piercey (Mildred) of Port Rexton. Leaving to mourn his loving wife, Armoral; daughter, Gail Norris (Silas) at Little Heart's Ease; sons, David Piercey (Donna) at Clarenville; two loving grandchildren, Ryan and Catherine at Clarenville. Rested at Fewers Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral services held at St. Mary's Anglican Church on Friday, June 6, 2003, with interment at Clarenville Interdenominational Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Clinic, St. John's.

ADEY, Wade Reuben
It is with great sadness the family of the late Wade Reuben Adey, age 49, from Weybridge, Random Island, announce his tragic loss on May 31, 2003. Predeceased by father, William (Bill). Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories his wife, Millicent (nee Blundell); sons, Michael (Tammy) and Travis (Amanda); precious grandson, Mason; mother, Jean Adey; brothers, Jerry (Debbie) and Derek; sisters, Elizabeth (Lou) and Jennifer (Brian); father-in-law, Ralph Blundell (Maude); sister-in-law, Valerie; brother-in-law, Derek (Sherry); five nieces and eight nephews; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and a large circle of friends. Rested at Vardy's Funeral Home and Central United Church from where the funeral took place on Thursday, June 5, 2003. Cremation to follow. Donations may be made to the Random West Fire Department and the Weybridge Cemetery Fund.

LAMBERT, Annie Marina - age 46, formerly from Gooseberry Cove, passed away on June 1, 2003 at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville. Predeceased by her parents Melvie and Alexander Lambert. Leaving to mourn her children Jeffery Lambert (Tina) and Karen Wells; brothers Harold and Dennis; sisters Christine (Harvey Spurreil) Daphne (Howard Peddle), Michelle (Shawn), Trudy (Ray), Tina (Danny), Kathleen (Leo Leonard) and Kelly Lambert; two grandchildren Brady and Brent; along with many other relatives and friends. Rested at St. Alban Anglican Church, Gooseberry Cove, from where the funeral took place on June 6, 2003, with interment following. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Vardy's Funeral Home, Random Island.

BROWN, Daisy
Passed away June 5, 2003, Daisy Brown at Lakeside Homes, Gander, originally from Fogo. She was 93 years of age. Daisy was a member of UCW L.O.B.A. Predeceased by husband Stanley (1969), sons Sidney, Harold and Raymond; daughters Minnie and Violet Left to mourn are sons Len (Maxine) at Stelleraton, NS, Carl (Ruth) at Clarenville, Tom (Jean) at Fogo; Stan (Ivy) at Stag Haroour and Harry (Debbie) at Clarenville; daughters Mary (Lloyd Barrett) at Dartmouth, NS and Mildred (Bram Coish) at Clarenville; daughters-in-law Gladys and Edna both at Fogo. Also leaving to mourn sisters Carrie Layman at Fogo, Elsie Willis at Lakeside Homes, Gander and Meta Downton at Barr'd Islands; 30 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rev. L. Lambert conducted funeral services at Fogo Island United Church on June 8, 2003. Interment at United Church Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Garry Keats, Fogo Island Funeral Home. Pallbearers were grandsons Lloyd, David, Paul, Rex, Jarmie and Damian.

PARDY, Dennis
Passed peacefully away at the Health Science Complex on June 12, 2003, Dennis Pardy of Port Blandford in his 71st year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife, Brenda; son, Roland (Tina) of Bonavista; daughter, Rhoda (fiancee, Mike) of Musgravetown; three grandchildren, Faith, Jagger and Jared; sisters, Barbara, Vickie, Maude, Bertha (Keble) and Linda (Alonzo); brothers, Jim (Irene), Hughie (Josephine), Leo (Yvonne), Herb (Linda), Howard (Penney), Greg (Ida) ahd Blondie (Vonnie); nieces, nephews and a large circle of friends. Predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Francis; sisters, Lossie and Mina; brothers, Roland and Lindbergh. Funeral service was officiated by Rev. A. George Demmons on Saturday, June 14, 2003, from the Alton United Church, Port Blandford, with interment following at the United Church Cemetery, Port Blandford. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Blundon's Funeral Home, Shoal Harbour.

HUNT, Albert - age 71, from George's Brook, passed peacefully away at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville, on June 5, 2003. Predeceased by his wife, Belle; and brother, Fred. Leaving to mourn one son, Roger (Kim); and daughter, Susan (Tony Power); brothers, Eric (Cavell) and Carl (Jane); sisters, lnez (Lewis Adey) and Muriel O'Donnell; grandchildren, Matthew, John and Julia; and sister-in-law, Marie. His family gathered at the United Church Cemetery; Gin Cove, where his ashes were buried beside his wife, on June 7, 2003. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Vardy's Funeral Home, Random Island.

HUNT, Albert
Passed peacefully away at G. B. Cross Hospital on June 5, 2003, Albert Hunt, age 71 years. Predeceased by father, James (1978); mother, Lena (1984); wife, Bell (1999); and brother, Fred (March 2003). Mourning his loss are brothers, Eric (Cavell) at Clarenville and Carl (Jane) at Shoal Harbour; sisters, lnez Adey (Lewis) at Clarenville and Muriel O'Donnell at British Columbia; and sister-in-law, Marie Hunt at Shoal Harbour. It wasn't easy to lose two brothers in three months, so their family offers thanks to their friends for any acts of kindness. It will be remembered. Thank you to Rev. Williams for his visits and to Rev. Hannon for conducting the service at the UC Cemetery in Monroe.

HODDER, Marjorie
Passed peacefully away at her home in Clarenville on Tuesday, June 24, 2003, Marjorie Hodder (Walters) formerly of Trinity Trinity Bay, aged 93 years. Predeceased by her hus­band, Frederick Walters; second husband, Charlie Hodder, son, Eric; son, William; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Walters; and son-in-law, Dr. Peter Atkinson. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories son, George (Ada) at Trinity; daughters, Mary Whitfield (Russell) at Indiana, USA, Kay Atkinson, wtth whom she resided at Clanenville, Marjorie Kettle at Port-Aux-Basques, Winnfred Harrison (Bill) at Halifax, NS, Florence Maidment (Wayne) at Halifax; NS, and Cecily Drodge (Charlie) at Clarenville; daughter-in-law, Mildred Walters at Halifax, NS; sisters, Doris Broderick at Carbonear, Mary Noel (Al) at St. John's and Vivian Upshall at Chamberlains; brother, George at Ontario; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville and St. Paul's Anglican Church, TrinIty Funeral service held Friday, June 27, 2003 from St Paul's Anglican Church, Trinity with Interment at Anglican Cemetery Trinity. In her memory donations may be made to St. Paurs Anglican Church Restoration Fund.

Curtis, Greta Patience from Hodge's Cove, passed peacefully awav at the Interfaith Citizen Home on June 22, 2003. She was 71 years of age. She leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories her children, Shirley Wooofine (Frank), Edward (Sandra), Eleanor Curtis, Janet Baker (Granville), Arch (Christine) and Barry (Leona); step-brother, Bill Abbott (Carolyn); 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, four sisters-in-law and also a large number of nephews, nieces and friends. Rested at the St Mary's Anglican Church, Hodge's Cove from where the funeral service, officiated by Rev. Sheila White, took place on Tuesday, June 24, 2003, with interment following. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Vardy's Funeral Home, Random Island.
