Gail Marie Sharpe (O'Gay)
Passed on: May 22nd, 2015
SHARPE, Gail Marie (nee O'Gay)
- age 57, passed peacefully away in the presence of her family on Friday, May 22, after a lengthy battle with ALS. Gail was a retired employee of Eastern Health and a member of the East Coast Trail Association. Left to mourn are her daughter Heather (Darryl); sons Brad (Nicole) and Robert (Claire); and grandchildren Lucas Halley, Emily McClure and Lewis McClure. Also left to mourn are parents Harry and Mary O'Gay; sisters Margaret (Chris - deceased), Denise (Fred), Debby (Frank), Judith (Dean); brothers John (Luisa), Brian (Michelle), Robert (Lisa); and nieces and nephews Stephanie, Alexander, Michael, Lauren, Natalie, Zoe, Brandon, Kaitlyn, Cory, Riley and Casey. Gail will be sadly missed by her faithful companion Jesse and her wonderful hiking friends, especially Darlene Scott and Cathy Carroll, as well as many other friends, coworkers, and relatives. We would like to say a special thank you to Coreen Perriccioli and also the staff members at Chancellor Park and the Palliative Care Unit, Miller Center, for looking after Gail during her illness. The family received visitors at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Ave., Mount Pearl, on Sunday and Monday, May 24th & May 25th, from 2:00pm-4:00pm, and from 7:00pm-9:00pm. Funeral service took place at Topsail United Church, 2426 Topsail Rd., CBS, on Tuesday, May 26th, at 2:00 pm. Interment also took place at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery on Wednesday, May 27th, at 11:00 am.. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the East Coast Trail Association and the ALS Society of Newfoundland. Please visit www.barretts.ca to sign the memorial guest book.

Azariah King

It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Azariah King, age 88, from Little Hearts Ease at the Dr. Albert O'Mahony Manor, Clarenville on June 2, 2015. Predeceased by his parents, Bert and Adora King; brothers, Silas, William and Baxter; sisters, Lydia, Clarabil and Martha Jane. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife of 66 years, Emma; son, Clarence (Velma); daughters, Mildred (Everett), Audrey (Willis), Doreen (Ken), Rowena (Wayne); 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; sister, Edith Norris; sisters-in-law, Miriam King and Lorraine Baker and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Robina and Eddie Baker. Rested at Bethel United Church, Little Hearts Ease, from where the funeral service, officiated by Rev. Rick Marsh, assisted by Rev. Passed peacefully away at Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Wednesday, June 3, 2015, Bill Ellis of George's Brook, aged 85 years. Predeceased by his wife Daphne; brother Malcolm; parents Clarence and Jane. Left with fond and loving memories his children Wade, Morley, Geoff (Lesley) and Roxanne (Tony); grandchildren Stephanie (Dave), Vanessa (Adam), Bradley (Michelle), Chyanne, Kelsey and Cody (Robyn); great grandchildren Camryn, Jesse, Brody and Sawyer; best buddy Charlie; sister Effie; brothers Edward, Ralph (late Olive), Reginald (Mary), Watson (Marie), Manuel (Nellie) and Walter (Mary); and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service took place on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at the United Church, Shoal Harbour with interment at Milton-George's Brook Cemetery. Passed peacefully away at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Tuesday, June 2, 2015, Olive Ellis of George's Brook, aged 73 years. Left with fond and loving memories her husband Ralph; sons Ron (Beverley), Eugene (Sylvia), Darrell (Darlene), Rod (Krista), Brian (Cindy) and Jamie (Kelly); 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sisters Marie (Terry), Eve (Wayne), Christine and Jean; brother Levi (Amanda); and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. Cremation to follow. In her memory donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or Lung Association.

Passed peacefully away in Downsview, ON on June 17th, 2015, Albert Richard Lethbridge Sr. Age 82 years, 4 months. Predeceased by his parents, Ida and Albert Lethbridge, brothers: James, George, Phillip, William and Chester; Sisters: Blanche, Carrie, Dorothy and granddaughter Danielle. Leaving to mourn brothers Roy (Ruby), Bob (Eva), Herber (Eileen) and sister Lillian, step brother Gus; children Roxanne (Tom), Albert (Debbie) and Angel (Scott). Also leaving to mourn is the Mother of his children (Masie), Common Law Wife Rebecca Ivany, step children Rodney (Tina), Tina (Tony) and Amanda; grandchildren Jonathan, Shawna, Tommy, Sammy, Stephen and Brent; step grandchildren Christopher, Jayde, Adam, Holly, Chase and Wyatt; great grandson Jake; plus a large circle of family and friends. A memorial service will be held in July.

Passed peacefully away at Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, Eli Stringer of Clarenville, aged 78 years. Predeceased by grandson Rodney; parents John and Agnes; two sisters and one brother. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Marie of 52 years; children Darlene (Ed), Colene (Jeff), Darrell (Brenda), Avalon (Ethel), Shirley (Tony), Lori (Todd) and Danielle (Robert); 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sister Virtue Drodge; and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service took place on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Memorial United Church, Clarenville with interment at Clarenville Interdenominational Cemetery. In his memory donations may be made to Daffodil Place, St. John's.

Joyce (Annie) Thompson
Passed on: November 18th, 2014

Passed away at the Riverine in Napanee Ontario, November 18th, 2014 in her 82nd year. Predeceased by her husband of 47 years Wilson Stewart Thompson, her brother Wallace Webber (Port Blandford) and her brother-in-law Abel Pittman (Oriskany Falls). Left with loving memories are her sister Della Pittman, her brother George Webber (Ginny), sister-in law Annie Harris, son David Thompson, daughter Anne Alexandre (Jerry), daughter Barb Gray (Peter) and grandchildren Kathryn and Jaqulyn Alexandre. She is fondly remembered by many friends nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law in Newfoundland, United States of America and Ireland. A Memorial Service will be held at Fewer's Funeral Home in Clarenville on Saturday, June 27th at 3 p.m. with interment at the Milton-George's Brook Cemetery in Milton Georges Brook.

Dinah Jean Pevie

Passed peacefully away surrounded by family at Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Tuesday, June 16, 2015, Dinah Jean Pevie of Arnold's Cove, aged 77 years. Predeceased by her husband Jim; parents Levi and Ethel Hoben, grandson Alexander. Left with fond and loving memories her children Pearl (Alex), Wade (Pat), Calvin (Anna), Gordon (Dale), John (Rhonda), Melinda (Kurt) and Gena (Darren); 14 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister Hannah; brother-in-law Joe; and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Arnold's Cove. Funeral service took place on Friday, June 19, 2015 at St. Michael's All Angels Anglican Church, Arnold's Cove with interment at Interfaith Cemetery, Arnold's Cove. In her memory donations may be made to St. Michael's All Angels Anglican Church, Arnold's Cove.
