Passed peacefully away at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Saturday, June 2, 2012, Leonard James White of Port Blandford, aged 60 years. Predeceased by parents Leonard and Elizabeth White; sister Brenda. Left with fond and loving memories are his sister Joyce White of Port Blandford and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Alton United Church, Port Blandford. Funeral service took place on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Alton United Church, Port Blandford with interment at Alton United Cemetery, Port Blandford. In his memory donations may be made to Alton United Cemetery Fund, Port Blandford.

Passed peacefully away at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Sunday, May 27, 2012, Hubert Chatman of Canning's Cove, aged 86 years. Predeceased by parents Charles & Lillian; sisters Daisy, Jean and Irene. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Hazel of 57 years; daughters Sharon (Glen) and Edyie; grandson Andrew; nephews and nieces Tony, Larry, Doreen, Harold and Candy; sister-in-law Edith Elliott and a large circle of family and friends. Hubert was a member of the L.O.L. Lodge, Canning's Cove for many years. Rested at St. John Divine Anglican Church, Canning's Cove. Funeral service took place on Wednesday, May, 30, 2012 at St. John Divine Anglican Church, Canning's Cove with interment at Anglican Cemetery, Canning's Cove. Passed suddenly away at his residence on Thursday June 7, 2012 Raymond Chester Hobbs of Bunyan's Cove in his 63rd year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his sons: Darrell (Pam) of Lethbridge, Bradley (Shirley) of Hermitage and Rodney (Judy) of Port Rexton; daughters: Lisa Greening (Darryl) of Musgravetown and Christine Pickett (Randy) of Wareham; grandchildren: Matthew, Dylan, Christopher, Brittany, Courtney and Billy; great granddaughter Michelle; sisters: Rosalie Chatman, Marie Ellis (Watson), Alvina Hobbs and Whilimena Skiffington (Clayton); brothers: Kirby (Rodena), David (Glenda), Alex (Audrey), Kater and Bernie (Cathy), sister in law Elva plus a large circle of other family and friends. Pre-deceased by his parents Deborah and Reginald, partner Whilimena Oldford; brothers: Perry, Terrance, Enos Hobbs and sister Louise Tucker. Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville, on June 10, 2012, Baxter King of Lady Cove, Random Island, age 92. Predeceased by his wife Irene, parents Edward and Mary King, four sisters and two brothers. Left with fond and loving memories son Cecil, daughter-in-law Barbara, sister-in-law Lillian Pelley, and nieces and nephews. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Vera Abbott, took place on June 13, 2012 from the United Church, Lady Cove, with interment following. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Vardy's Funeral Home, Random Island.

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of William James Hayter, age 58, from Trinity at the Bonavista Hospital, Bonavista on June 19, 2012. Predeceased by parents, Colin Sr. and Minnie (nee Wiseman) Hayter and brother, Terrance. Leaving to mourn are his brithers, Colin Jr. (Marion). Glenn (Heather), Steven (Pauline); sisters, Yvonne (Tom Toope), Jocelyne (Gordon Miller), Monica (Charlie Strong), Elsie (Dale Mackay) and Michelle (Bill Hiscock), nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends. Viewing took place for the immediate family and a cremation followed. A memorial service , officated by Rev. Passed peacefully away after a brief illness at the Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Friday, June 22, 2012, Jean Gladney of Clarenville, aged 92 years. Predeceased by husband Lawrence. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughters Sheena MacKinnon, Dartmouth, NS and Anne Jenkins, Eastport, NL, Eleanor Ladham (Shaun), Saskatoon, SK; son Robert (Janice), Riverview, NB; grandchildren Susan, Jennifer, Evan, Brent, Ian, Justin, and Erica; great grandchildren Ethan, Marina, Matthew, Nicholas and Noah and a large circle of family and friends. Jean enjoyed life to the fullest, as a longtime resident of Clarenville, she was also a war bride from Glasgow, Scotland and member of Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She resided at Clarenville Retirement Centre for the past 4 years. The family would like to thank the Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital staff and the Clarenville Retirement Centre staff for the care given to her. Memorial service took place on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville with interment at United Cemetery, Church Hill, Clarenville.
