HOBBS, Ford N. - Passed peacefully away at his home on Friday, May 19,2006, Ford Hobbs of Bunyan's Cove, aged 78 years. Predeceased by his parents, Barney and Jessie; two cousens, Wayne and Lawrence; and daughter, Beaulah. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife, Daisy, of 54 years; daughters, Mardene (Rick Prince) at Cannings Cove, Patricia (Ray Moss) at Brampton, ON, and Lela (Jeff Prince) at Bunyan's Cove; sons, Dorman and Scott (Lynette) both at Bunyan's Cove; daughter-in-law, Verna Mason at Gambo; brother, Loyal (Katie) at Bunyan's Cove; eleven grandchildren; one great-grandson; and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Pentecostal Church, Bunyan's Cove. Funeral service held Tuesday, May 23, 2006, from Pentecostal Church, Bunyan's Cove with interment at Pentecostal Cemetery, Bunyan's Cove. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Fewer's Funeral Home.

ROBBINS, Marjorie Joan (nee Parsons), 1944 - 2006, passed peacefully away at North York General Hospital, Ontario, Thursday, May 11, 2006, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Marjorie's last days were like her life, worrying about the well being of her family. She was a caring person and anybody's problem was her cause. Marjorie's presence will be sadly missed by her loving family and all who knew her. Predeceased by son, Ted, 1980; and parents, Pearl, 1997, and Melvin, 2004. Left to mourn husband and friend of 44 years, Gordon, Hatchet Cove; sons, Gregory (Carolann), Scarborough, ON, Geoffrey (Lynn), Comox, BC, Glenn (Cheryl), Greenwood, NS; and daughter, Debbie (Dave), St. John's. Marjorie also leaves sisters, Ruby (Colin), North York, ON, and Norma (Paul), Toronto, ON; brothers, Wade (Linda), Gander, and Neil (Linda), Gander; sisters-in-law, Belinda (Edgar), St. JonesWithin, and Ella (Don), Scarborough, ON; and brother-in-law, Ted (Kay), Vancouver, BC. Marjorie also leaves to mourn her cherished grandchildren, Melanie, Cory, Steven, Nicholas, Daniel, Shawnie, Chelsea and Shelby, as well as a large circle of relatives and close friends. Cremation took place at Cardinal Funeral Home, Toronto, ON. A memorial service and interment will be held at a later date in Carmanville, NL. Donations may be made in Marjorie's memory to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation.

LANE, Frances - Passed peacefully away at Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville, on Tuesday, May 23, 2006, Frances Lane of Summerville, aged 95 years. Predeceased by parents, John and Debra Holloway, Bloomfield; sister, Susanna Peddle; husband, Henry Humby; daughter, Jean Humby; and second husband, Joseph Lane. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories; daughter, Greta Fennell (Len), Plate Cove West; six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; niece, Dora Hobbs Harris (George), Bloomfield; and a large circle of relatives and friends. Rested at St. Mark's Anglican Church, Summerville. Funeral services held on Friday, May 26, 2006, with interment at the United/Anglican Cemetery, Summerville. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Vardy's Funeral Home,Random Island.

GREENING, Barry John - It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Barry John Greening, age 55, from Port Blandford, at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville on May 25, 2006. Barry leaves to mourn his brother, Brian (Betty); nephew, Ken (Marlene) Greening; and niece, Tracey >(partner David) Greening. Rested at the St. Aiden's Anglican Church, Port Blandford, from where the funeral service, officiated by Rev. Nathan Cutler, took place on Saturday, May 27, 2006, with interment following. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Vardy's Funeral Home, Random Island.

PEDDLE, BAXTER Passed peacefully away at Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville on May 23, 2006, age 82 years. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories; his wife, Gwen; son, Bryan (Angie), Gander, and three daughters, Sheila (Andrew), Hodges Cove, Linda (Eldon), Long Beach, and Elaine (Henry), Long Beach; seven grandchildren; and a large circle of relatives and friends. Baxter was a Second World War Veteran. Funeral service, officiated by Rev. N. Chatman, was held on May 26, 2006, at St. Mark's Anglican Church, Long Beach. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Vardy's Funeral Home, Hickman's Harbour.

BARKER Passed peacefully away at the Golden Heights Manor, Bonavista, on June 3, 2006, Catherine Barker, age 93, from Stock Cove. Predeceased by her husband, Jack; and son, Joseph. Leaving to mourn are her sons, Kevin (Bessie) and Jim (Arlene); eight grand­children; eight great-grandchildren; and many other rela­tives and friends. Rested at the community hall in Stock Cove. Funeral service, officiated by Father Hearn, took place on Wednesday, June 7, 2006, 11 a.m., from St. Peter's and Paul's Church, King's Cove, with interment fol­lowing. ABBOTT, Elizabeth (nee Mouland), aged 80 years, passed peacefully away on Wednesday, June 14, 2006, at Gander, Newfoundland. Betty was a kind and generous woman whose goodness was felt by her family and many friends. Her won­ derful sense of humour and her zest for life made the world a better and kinder place to be. She will be missed and loved forever. Predeceased by her father, Hugh Mouland, and mother, Eva Mae Mouland. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband, Cyril Abbott; sons, Cyril (Michelle) at High River, AL, Roger (Heather) at Airdrie, AL, and Shawn (Gigi) of Gander, NL; daughters, Madonna (Reg King ) at Mount Pearl, NL, and Marie (Gerald White) at Calgary, AL; grandchildren, Jason, Krista, Jonathon, Thomas, Deborah, Jared, Matthew, Mikala, Liam, Sarah, Quinn and Aidan; as well as a large number of other relatives and friends. JESSEAU, Mary (Mollie) - Passed peacefully away at the G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville, NL, Mary Alice (Mollie) Jesseau on June 7, 2006, in her 91st year. Predeceased by her parents, Francis and Elizabeth Gunn; husband, Jeremiah; daughter, Patricia; son, Jerry; grand­children, Donald Pardy, Liam Jesseau Alderdice; brother, Angus; and sister, Kathleen (Puddin). Leaving to mourn are her seven children, Kevin, Mary (Mike Bereseford), Ray (Sydnee-LeDuc), Joe (Margaret), Wayne (Sharon), Michael Sean (Lilly) and Donna (George Tatarczuk); daughter-in-law, Gert Jesseau; also, twenty-nine grand­children, thirty-three great-grandchildren, four great-great­grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services took place at the Cathedral of the color:#545454'>Immaculate Conception, Grand Falls-Windsor, on Saturday, June 10, 2006, with Father Brian Colbert offici­ating. Interment at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Grand Falls-Windsor. Funeral arrangements were arranged by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. COOPER: It is with great sadness that on June 15, 2006, Allen George Cooper of Trinity East, born May 26, 1920, at Ireland's color:black'>Eye, passed peacefully away at the Dr, G. B, Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville. Leaving to mourn his wife of 53 years, Mildred; daughter, Linda (Rob); sons, Lester (Andrea) at Trinity East, and Arthur (Pam) at Gander; brothers, Dan (Shirley) at Clarenville, and Chester (Phylis) at Mount Pearl; sisters, Vernie (Jim) Warren, Miriam (Clar) Gover, Mildred (Claude) Brown, all of Gander; six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; as well as many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Rested at the Anglican Church, Trinity East, from where the -funeral service, officiated by Rev. Robert Peddle, took place on Sunday, June 18, with interment following. Funeral arrange­ments entrusted to Vardy's Funeral Home, Random Island.

FITZGERALD, James (December 5, 1920 - June 18, 2006) Passed peacefully away at the Bonavista Peninsula Health Care Center, on Sunday, June 18, 2006, James Fitzgerald of Keels in his 85th year. Predeceased by sister, Anastasia in 2000. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories nieces, Mary Anne Walsh (Brendan), Donna Barker (Denley) and Sandra Furlong (Calvin); nephews, James Lane (Carol), William Lane (Francis), Ronald Lane (Barbara), Thomas Lane (Bridget), Cyril Lane (Robyn) and Charlie Lane (Pauline); plus a large circle of family and friends. Funeral mass was officiated by Father Hearn from St. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, King's Cove, on June 20, 2006, with interment following at Roman Catholic Cemetery, King's Cove. Pallbearers were, Jimmy Lane, Darren Lane, Kevin Ducey, Bill Lane, Brendan Walsh and Alphonsus Ducey. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Blundon's Funeral Home, Shoal Harbour.
