Ina Cooper
With heavy hearts we shared our loved one, Ina Marie Cooper’s passing, in February 2017. Please now join us for her funeral, which is to be held at St. Andrews Church, Trinity East, Trinity Bay on Saturday July 15, 2017 at 2pm. There will be a short visitation before from 10-11:30am in the church and a gathering at the Trinity East Recreation Center for tea after the funeral.

Robert (Bob) Moss
Passed on: July 6th, 2017

Passed peacefully away July 6, 2017, retired journalist, age 87 of Summerville, Bonavista Bay. Predeceased by parents Robert and Florence Moss, brothers William and Lloyd, sisters Ethel, Marion and Vera. Leaving to mourn sisters Violet Humby (Clem) Summerville and Ann Lane, Ontario as well as a large number of nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to especially thank Robert and Mary Clements for their kindness and support this past 2 years and also the staff of St. Luke’s Home whose care and compassion has been outstanding. In keeping with Bobs wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral to take place Summerville Anglican Church Saturday, July 15, 2017 starting 1:00 pm. Visitation hours 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm Friday July 14 at the Summerville Anglican Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Summerville Anglican Church or St. Luke’s Home.

Goldwyn (Guggs) Peddle
Passed on: July 12th, 2017

Passed away suddenly at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Thursday, July 13, 2017, Goldwyn Peddle (Guggs) of Clarenville, aged 64 years. Predeceased by his father William and brother Rex. Left with fond and loving memories his daughters Vanessa (Matt) and Siobhan (Steven); grandchildren Mason, Addison and Caven; his mother Goldie; sisters Ruth (Dennis), Mary and Judy (Pat); brothers Austin (Sylvie), Rick and Barry; family friend Michelle Bugden; and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service took place on Monday, July 17, 2017 at Calvary Pentecostal Church, Clarenville with cremation to follow. In his memory donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Clarenville Area SPCA.

Hanuel Holloway
Passed on: July 18th, 2017

Passed peacefully away at Dr. Leonard A. Miller Centre, St. John’s on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, Hanuel Holloway of Lethbridge, aged 79 years. Predeceased by his infant daughter Judy; parents Gordon and Annie Holloway; brother Allan and sisters Charity and Doris. Left with fond and loving memories his wife of 60 years, Gladys; daughters Joyce, Wilma (Jim), Gloria (Wayne), Bonnie (Roy) and Sandy (Wade); sons Wilfred (Claudia) and Bruce (Sheila); 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sisters Mona (Joe), Louise (Shawn) and Bessie; brothers Frank, Barry (Minnie), Herman (Joyce), Ross (Michelle) and Glen; his church friends at the Pentecostal Church, Bunyans Cove and United Church, Lethbridge; and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Lethbridge. Funeral service took place on Friday, July 21, 2017 at the United Church, Lethbridge with interment at the United Cemetery, Lethbridge.

George Frederick Monk
Passed on: July 18th, 2017

Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 George Frederick Monk of Clarenville, formerly of Monkstown, aged 106 years. Predeceased by his wife Eva, his sisters and brothers, 8 grandchildren and son in law Archibald Monk. Left with fond and loving memories his children Alvina Easton (Charlie), Elsie Monk, Kay Monk (Bill), Myrtle Snook (Ted), Joe Monk (Edwina), Kirby Butler (Susie); numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and a large circle of family and friends. Funeral Service took place on Thursday, July 20, 2017 from Salvation Army Citadel, Clarenville with interment at Pleasant Street Cemetery, Clarenville.
