Goobie: We regret to announce the passing of James
Charles Goobie, age 77, from Queen’s Cove, at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial
Hospital, Clarenville, on June 28, 2005. Predeceased by parents, John and Janie
and nephew, Michael. He will be sadly missed by sister, Mildred (Albert) Howse
and nephews, Winston (Renee) Howse, Max (Louise) Howse and Paul (Dianne) Howse,
and families. Rested at the United Church, Queen’s Cove, from where the funeral
service, officiated by Rev. G. Jarvis, took place on Friday, July 1, 2005, with

Hart, Albert
Earl - Passed away
suddenly on July 1, 2005, Albert Hart, aged 83 years. Predeceased by his son
Lorne. Left to mourn with treasured memories are his loving wife Janet
(Nippard); three daughters Geraldine Turner (Fred), Daphne Murphy (Ronald) and
Barbara (Brien); two sisters Effie Dowding and Annie Goldsworthy; six
granddaughters Alison, Lorna, Lori, Lisa, Tina and Tanya; two grandsons Tim and
David; two grandchildren Jared and Kristen; as well as other friends and
relatives. A special thank you to his helpful neighbours over the years. Rested
at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Port Rexton, on July 4. Funeral service took place on

Passed away
peacefully at home, surrounded by his family. He leaves to mourn his wife
of 59 1/2 years, Ruby; children Judy Byrne (Bob) at Abbotsford, Joan Davison
(Russ) at Seba Beach, AB, and Dr. William Dick (Sandra) at Vancouver; grandchildren
Cathie Ansell, Elizabeth Lo, Jane Schneider, Joe Davison, Jamie Davison
and Adam Dick. He will also be missed by his five great-grandchildren,
numerous nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law and friends. He was
predeceased by three sisters and an infant son Joseph. Frank was born in
St. John’s, NL. and
lived in Clarenville, NL. until 1972 when he moved to Prince George, BC.
A lifelong railroader, he worked with Reid Newfoundland Railway, CN Rail
and BC Rail. From 1940 - 1945, he served during the Second World War as
a Bombardier with the 57th and 59th Royal Newfoundland
Heavy Artillery Regiments. He was past President of the Royal Canadian
Legion (Clarenville Branch) and a past Noble Grand with the International
Order of Oddfellows. He also served in 1956 as a Councillor with the Town
of Clarenville. A family service was held at Aldergrove, BC. Frank’s cremated
remains will be interred in the Dick family plot in Clarenville, NL, in
conjunction with a Memorial Service at a later date. If so desired, a donation
to the Canadian Cancer Society appreciated. Personal Alternative Funeral

Fowlow - Passed away peacefully at the Bonavista
Hospital on Saturday, July 2, 2005, Norman Fowlow of Trinity East, aged
70 years. Predeceased by his wife Hilda. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving
memories his daughters Doreen and Cindy, both at Trinity East; sons Hedley and
Robert Jr., both at Trinity East; sisters Irene Hogarth at Trinity East,
Frances Fowlow at Trinity East, Shirley Cooper (Dan) at Clarenville, Lil Loder
(Hedley) at Hillview, Elsie Monks at King’s Cove and Janet Staggs (James) at
Mugford, TN, USA; brother Robert at Trinity East; granddaughter Heather; and a
large number of relatives and friends. Rested at Anglican Church, Trinity East.

Caplin Cove, aged 88 years. Predeceased by his first wife Marcie (Martin) and

Ivany: It is with great sadness the family
announce the peaceful passing of James Ivany, age 78, from
Weybridge, Random Island, at his residence on July 12, 2005. Predeceased by
parents George and Gertie Ivany. Leaving to mourn with many precious memories
are his loving wife Susan; children Louise (Dave Stanley), Cindy (George
Whalen), Charlene (Trevor Hollett) and Linfield (Kristy); seven grandchildren;
brother Frank Ivany; sisters Bessey Bailey, Versey Baker, Jessie Stanley and

Lloyd (June 21, 1950 - June 30, 2005) - At the age of 55, Olsen passed away from his family
and friends. Olsen is predeceased by his father Simeon Goodyear (2001) and
father-in-law Patrick Tobin (2000). Left with loving memories his wife Janet;
daughters Sandra (Carl Butler) at Kelligrews and Cheryl (Keith Tucker) at Upper
Gullies; very special grandson Brendan; mother Lillian at Bonavista; sisters
Jessie Williams (Steven) at Halifax, NS, Clarice Blake (Paul) at Halifax, NS,
and Pauline Crowe (Rodney) at Yarmouth, NS. Also, left with cherished memories
are his mother-in-law Florence Tobin; sisters-in-law Sherri Saunders (Jim),
