SKEFFINGTON, Kenneth- Passed away suddenly at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's on Thursday, January 28, 2010, Ken Skeffington of Musgravetown, aged 41 years. Predeceased by grandfather Maxwell Skeffington. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Judy of 12 years; daughters Simone' and Jessica; sons Christian and Riley; parents Elihu and Carol Skeffington; grandmother Eliza Skeffington; mother-in-law Loretta Peddle; great mother-in-law Dorothy Peddle; brothers Gordon Everett and Michael Everett; aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends. Resting at Fewer's Funeral Home, Lethbridge. Funeral service took place on Monday, February 1, 2010 from Heritage United Church, Musgravetown with interment at United Cemetery, Musgravetown.

CHATMAN- passed away at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on January 21, 2010, Minnie Chatman, age 62, from Cannings Cove. Predeceased by parents Frederick & Gertrude Tucker. Leaving to mourn are: her loving husband, Rancefield; children, Norma (Terry), Bonnie, Corey (Melissa); grandchildren; Mark (Tiffany), Melissa, Samantha, Colby, Corey Jr., Mayara; great-grandchild, Kurt and many other relatives and friends. Cremation took place and a memorial service, officiated by Rev. Isaac Hutchings, took place on Monday January 25, 2010 from the St. John the Divine Anglican Church, Cannings Cove. STRONG, H. Jessie- Passed peacefully away at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa, ON on Saturday, January 23, 2010, Jessie Strong, aged 85 years. Beloved wife of the late James; cherished mother of Ruth (Bryan), Barbara (Ron), Paul (Joan), Lorna (Jerry) and Michael; loving grandmotht.. f Nicole, Dwayne, David, Tara, Robert (Danielle), Karla, Jason and Benjamh, loved great-grandmother of Dylan, Chloe and Marcus; sister of Leslie Barnes, Ruth MacKenzie, Eric Barnes (Audrey) and Joan Payne (Douglas). She also leaves behind a large circle of relatives and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service took place on Saturday, January 30, 2010 from Memorial United Church, Clarenville with interment at United Cemetery, Church Hill, Clarenville. FURLONG, Michael Francis- Age 98 yrs, passed peacefully away at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville, on January 25, 2010. Predeceased by parents Samuel and Martha Furlong, brother James, adopted sister Bridget Walsh, wife Nellie, son Samuel, son-in-law Thomas Ricketts and many other cherished family members and friends. Left with fond and loving memories are his sons: Samuel and Michael (Anne Marie); daughter Mary Ricketts; grandchildren: Joy Ricketts-Hayter (Richard), Michael, Matthew and a very extensive circle of family and friends. He was known as Mike France or Skipper and his bright smile, wise jokes and the attitude of living each day as it was, for tomorrow may never come, made everyone in his presence feel welcomed. He always enjoyed a good trip in the water and a daily drink or two, he will be greatly missed by many but will always hold a special place in the hearts of the people that knew him. Thanks to all that was there for him and his family throughout this difficult time and a special thank you to the staff at the hospital for showing such tender care for the skipper. GREENING, Frank- Passed away at Clarenville Retirement Center on Friday, February 5, 2010, Frank Greening of Musgravetown, aged 83 years. Predeceased by wife Esmaralda. Left with fond and loving memories his children Gordon (Evelyn), Musgravetown, Marvin (Evelyn), Labrador City, daughter Diane Avery (Ray Adey), Wyoming, ON and Gary (Trixie), Clarenville; eight grandchildren: Suzette (Gerald) Chatman, Jamie (Marler/e), Steven (Christine), Danny, Kelly (Brian) Lucas, Kristen, Kim, Gabe; six great grandchildren: Lauren, Drew, Emma, Meghan, Lana, Brayden; sisters: Dorothy, Shirley, and Mavis; brothers: Albert, Adolphus and Harvey and a large circle of relatives and friends. JANES, William Robert- Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on February 1, 2010, William Robert Janes, age 68 from Lower Lance Cove, Random Island. Predeceased by his loving wife of 29 years, Gladys (nee Bowring) and his parents, David and Hazel Janes. PRINCE, Rose- July 27, 1908 - February 11, 2010. Rose passed peacefully away on February 11, 2010 at Mackenzie Place, Newmarket, Ontario at the age of 101. Predeceased by her husband Reginald (1958) and three children (Douglas, Doris, Dora). Loving mother of Hubert (Shirley), Clarence, Baxter (Effie), Jean (John), Lorraine and Cluney (Margie). Cherished grandmother of 13 grandchildren, 16 greatgrandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren. Rose will also be remembered by her many caring nieces, nephews and friends. Rested at St. Thomas Anglican Church, Charleston from where the funeral service took place on Tuesday, February 16th, 2010 with interment following. Dec. 1, 1922-Feb. 18, 2010

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother, nan, grams and best friend on Feb. 18, 2010 at Brampton, Ontario at the age of 87. Mary was a devoted wife to the late Earl Skiffington who predeceased her on Apr. 17,1985, she was the beloved mother to her daughter Fern and husband Howard Calahan, Fred and wife Beulah, Tony and wife Eileen, Diane, Clayton and wife Whilimena and her daughter Judy who predeceased her on Mar. 17, 2005. Mom will be remembered by her 5 children, 16 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 14 great great-grandchildren and her many friends. Our precious mom leaves a legacy in our memory of unconditional love, encouragement and compassion. No matter what the situation, good or bad she was always there, our stronghold. The scripture states, "she did what she could". Mom your love and warm smile will be missed by all forever. Goodnight our angel we will see you in the morning.
