Passed peacefully away on Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, surrounded by family at the palliative care unit of St. Clare's Mercy Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer, Bob Power, of Paradise, age 66 years. Predeceased by parents, Bren and Mabel (nee Chafe) Power and son, Robert. Left with fond and loving memories are his devoted wife, Estelle (nee Chafe); daughter, Alice; son-in-law, Wilson; precious grandchildren, Ashley, Stephanie and Riley; sisters, Catherine Philpott, St. John's and Rosalind (Wayne Smith), Clarenville; brother, Brendan (Janet), Clarenville; brothers-in-law, John Chafe (Largo, Florida) and Ron Chafe (Ottawa, ON); sister-in-law, Sr. Loretta Chafe, R.S.M., Goulds; many loving nieces and nephews and an extended circle of friends in St. John's and Grand Falls-Windsor (where he resided for 30 years of his life). Bob was a Past Faithful Navigator of the 4^th Degree of the Knights of Columbus in Grand Falls, 12 years as leader in the Boy Scout Movement, past vice-chairman of the Roman Catholic School Board, Grand Falls.
