PHILPOTT, Sarah Elizabeth
Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Health Center on November 16th, 2010, Sarah Elizabeth Philpott, age 85 years. Predeceased by husband James, son Kevin, baby girl Philpott, parents William and Anne Philpott, granddaughter Sarah Elizabeth, brothers James , Robert, Jack and David, sister Ellen Lynch. Left with fond and loving memories are her sons: Gerard (Mary) of Mount Pearl, Joe (Carol) of Gander, David (Corrinne) of Plate Cove, Fabian (Joanne) of St. John's, Jim (Mary) of Gander; daughters: Cecilia (Edward) Watton , Marina (Terry) Tibbs of Gander, sisters-in-law: Henrietta, Sister Cecilia, Sister Rosarii of St. John's, Monica Philpott of Gander; 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren. Also a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander. Funeral Service was held Thursday November 18th, 2010 from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Gander. OSBORNE, Michael
Passed peacefully away at his home in North West Brook on Friday, November 26, 2010, Michael Osborne, formerly of Runcorn, England, aged 73 years. Predeceased by son Shane. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Kathy of 46 years; sons David (Tina) and Martin (Crystal); brothers Billy (Christine) and John (Lorraine); grandchildren Richard, Sam, Jacob and Tarina; all his co-workers from Runcorn Docks, England and a large circle of family and friends. Family service and cremation have taken place.

KING, William F.
Passed suddenly away at his home in St. Jones Within on Friday, November 26, 2010, Bill King aged 88 years. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Lavenia of 58 years, sons Kevin, Wade (Donna), Ross; six grandchildren Jenelle, Shanon, Crystal, Eldon, Christopher, Billy; two great-grandchildren Emma, Aidian; sister Dulcie Flight; brother Otto and a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Faith United Church, St. Jones Within. Funeral will be held Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at 2 p.m. from the Faith United Church, St. Jones Within with interment to follow at the United Cemetery. In his memory, donations may be made to the upkeep of the United Cemetery, St. Jones Within.

MADDOX, John Thomas
entered into eternal rest on Nov. 6, 2010, John Thomas Maddox of King's Cove in his 80th year. Leaving to mourn his wife Rita, son Paul (Trina), chosen son Sheldon (Robyn), his four dearly loved grandchildren Ryan Furlong, Jonathan, Jake and Jared Maddox, two sisters Rose Aylward (Goose Bay) and Loretta Maloney (Felix) Summerville and a large circle of relatives and friends. Rested at S.S. Peter and Pauls Church, King's Cove. Interment R.C. Cemetery, King's Cove.

OSMOND, Annabelle
Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Thursday, December 2, 2010, Annabelle Osmond of Shoal Harbour, aged 71 years. Left with fond and loving memories are her husband Gilbert of 52 years; daughter Janet (Paul); sons Clyde (Karen) and Ed (Cindy); grandchildren whom she adored Mark, Brittany and Dylan; sister Shirley; special friend Ada Churchill and a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 6, 2010 from Shoal Harbour United Church with interment at Shoal Harbour United Cemetery. In her memory flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.

OSMOND, Evelyn
We regret to announce the peaceful passing on December 4, 2010, of Evelyn (Aggie) Jean Osmond, age 77 from Lethbridge, at the Health Science Complex, St. John's. Predeceased by parents, Eli (1996) and Emily (2002) Hollett and husband, Fred Osmond (2002). Leaving to mourn are her children, Wayne (Joyce), Robert and Brenda (Walwyn) Collins; grandchildren, Angela (Tom) Spisak, Alex Osmond, Andrew Osmond (Jenn Halleran), Michael (Candice) Osmond, Regina Collins and Rexford Collins; great grandchildren, Tyler Osmond, Brady Osmond, Emily Spisak and Kristopher Spisak and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Vardy's Funeral Home and the Salvation Army, Lethbridge from where the funeral service, officiated by Captains Reid and Phyllis Colbourne, took place on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 with interment following. O'NEILL, Cyril
Passed suddenly away at his home on Monday, November 29, 2010, Cyril O' Neill of Shoal Harbour in his 62nd year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Elizabeth; Daughters: Cheryl O' Neill (Rod Butler), Colette O' Neill (Matt Cyr) Crystal O'Neill and family dog Nikki; Grandson T.J. O'Neill; Sisters: Patsy, Peggy, Linda, Rose, Dene, Debbie and Diane; Brothers: Ed, Ron, Dennis and Freddie; his father Frederick O' Neill plus a large circle of other family and friends. Pre-deceased by his mother Mary O' Neill. Funeral Mass was officiated by Father D. Joy from Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church, Clarenville on Thursday December 2, 2010. Passed away suddenly at his home in Hodges Cove on Friday, December 10, 2010, Cecil Peddle aged 78 years. Predeceased by parents Archer and Maria Peddle, sisters Melvina and Myrtle; brother Clarence. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Marie of 49 years; daughters Claudine, Doreen (Fred); two grandsons Devin. Jeremy; sisters Madeline, Ruby; brother Jim (Ella) and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Little Hearts Ease. Funeral service was held on Monday December 13, 2010 from the Anglican Church, Hodges Cove with interment at the Anglican Cemetery, Hodges Cove. In his memory donations may be made to World Vision.

Leaving to mourn her loving husband, Caleb; sons, Levi (Myra), Robert (Debbie), Clyde (Andrea); daughters, Minnie (Fred), Lorraine, Marilyn (Glen); brothers, Jim and Cecil; sisters, Ruby Drover and Madeline Peddle; 10 grandchildren ; 13 great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Rested at St. Andrews United Church, Hillview, from where the funeral service, officiated by Rev. Robert Tuck, took place on Thursday, December 9th, 2010 with interment following. QUINTON, Albert (Bert)
January 13, 1932-December 11, 2010

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of beloved father, grandfather and brother, Albert Quinton of Catalina, aged 78 years. Born in Red Cliff, Bonavista Bay, Albert was predeceased in childhood by his beloved daughter Janice; parents Albert and Bertha; stepfather George Penney; and brother Alphaeus. Leaving to mourn are Eleanor Quinton; children Colleen, Sandra, Peter (Barbara), Victoria (Glen), and Mitchell; sisters Edna (Ray) and Jean (Kevin); grandchildren Alexander, Brent, Alicia and Charlotte; and much loved nieces and nephews. Also leaving to mourn, a large circle of friends and relatives. Albert grew up in Keels, NL. He went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education from Memorial University and to raise his family in Catalina, NL. He will be remembered as a dedicated father and teacher who was loved and respected by family, friends and students. His presence will be dearly missed. He will be resting at Strathie's Funeral Home, Catalina on Tuesday from 6pm-9pm and on Wednesday from 12 pm-4 pm and 6 pm-9 pm. Funeral service to be held on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at 2pm from St. Peter's Anglican Church. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Catalina. Flowers gratefully accepted.

Passed peacefully away at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Tuesday, December 14, 2010, James Eli Peach of Arnold's Cove, aged 70 years. Predeceased by parents Elsie and Wilfred and sister Mable Cochran. Left with fond and loving memories his children Vanessa Benson, British Colombia and Jamie, Arnold's Cove; sisters Rita Slade, Susie Boutcher and Mona McCarn; brothers Otto, Calvin, Frank, Fred and Heber; grandchildren Noah and Hannah and a large circle of relatives and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Arnold's Cove. Funeral service took place on Friday, December 17, 2010 from St. Michael's All Angels Anglican Church, Arnold's Cove with interment at Interfaith Cemetery, Arnold's Cove. DAVIS, Bessie
Passed peacefully away at Dr. Albert O'Mahony Manor, Clarenville on Tuesday, December 14, 2010, Bessie Davis of Clarenville, aged 86 years. Predeceased by husband Lloyd; son Gerald; sister Pearl Sweetapple and brother Cyril Strong. Left with fond and loving memories her children Bette Cooper (Selby), Clarenville, Gord (Evelyn), Clarenville, Gary, Clarenville, Graham (Linda), Clarenville, Louise (Louis), St. John's and Ann Trowbridge (Bill), Clarenville; sister Mabel West, Clarenville, Beatrice West (Joe), Gander, Flo Wiseman (Ted), British Colombia and Judy Stanley (Les), Clarenville; brother Larry Strong (Darlene), Clarenville, Bruce Strong (Pauline), Clarenville and Bernard Strong, Toronto; thirteen grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren along with a large circle of relatives and friends. Predeceased by parents, James and Evelyn Neil and son, Dean Penney. Deeply loved and mourned by husband, Enos; daughters, Teena (Ray) Smith, Melinda (Stephen) Simmonds, Jessica (Gordon) White; son, Shayne Neil; grandchildren, Kimberly Smith, Austin Penney, Neveeh Simmonds, Baby Simmonds; sisters, Jeanette (Edward) Stacey, Debbie Neil, Evelyn (Bruce) Greening, Meta (George) Hollett and many other relatives and friends.
