FOWLOW - Passed peacefully away at G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on November 20, 2008 Robert Fowlow, age 83 years. Predeceased by wife Leah, daughter-in-law, Mabel Fowlow and son-in-law, Lemuel Anthony. Leaving to mourn three sons, Calvin (Audrey), Ernest, Freeman (Doreen); three daughters, Ruby Cooper (Fred), Gloria Noonan (Aidan) and Patsy Anthony; twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Irene, Janet, Lily, Elsie and Frances, special cousin Marguerite and special friend Geraldine; also a large circle of family and friends. Funeral services took place Sunday November 23, 2008.

STAGG, Frances (Fannie) - Passed peacefully away surrounded by family at Golden Heights Manor, Bonavista on November 11, 2008 at the age of 93 years. Predeceased by her parents Jacob and Blanche Dalton, brothers Mark, Edward and Joseph, sister Ethel Johnson, husband Augustus, sons Lloyd and Alonzo and daughter Vera Dawe. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories five sons, Cyril (Kathleen) Little Catalina, Ben, Bonavista, Melvin (Loretta) Labrador City, Scott (Martha) St. John's, Harold (Christine) Cambridge, three daughters Rachel (Tom), Bonavista, Shirley (Jim deceased) Catalina, Marie (Jim) Labrador City, 24 grandchildren, 34 greatgrandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren as well a large circle of relatives and friends, Rested at Strathie's Funeral Home, Catalina. Funeral service took place at Calvary Memorial United Church, Little Catalina on Friday November 14, 2008. Interment followed at the United Cemetery, Little Catalina. Family caring for family

STANLEY Passed peacefully away, surrounded by her loving family, at G.B Cross Memorial Hospital on Friday November 28, 2008, Myra Stanley of Bloomfield formerly of George's Brook in her 90th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories son Sherman and wife Glenys of Petley; daughters: Pearl Little of Bloomfield, Elaine and husband Jack Little of Bloomfield, Verna and husband Lindsay Reid of Musgravetown; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and seven great-greatgrandchildren; sisters: Laura, Louie and Dulcie; sisters-in-law Maisy Ploughman and Floss Ploughman. Plus a large circle of family and friends. Predeceased by husband Ross, parents Agnes and William Ploughman, brothers: Everette and Hector, grandson Arthur and son-in-law Donald Little. Funeral service was officiated by Pastors D. Newbury and Pastor Earle on Monday December 1, 2008 with interment following at Milton/George's Brook Interdenominational Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons: Ray, Roger, Robert and Jason Little; granddaughters: Brenda Penney and Nancy Strong. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Blundon's Funeral Home Shoal. GOODYEAR, Henry - Passed peacefully away after a brief illness at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Wednesday, November 26, 2008, Henry Goodyear of Monroe, aged 67 years. Predeceased by parents Ernest and Frances Goodyear; sister, Edith Parsons and mother-in-law and stepmother Marjorie Goodyear. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Mary of 45 years; daughters, Debbie Blundon (Trevor), Vera Cross (Dave) and Charmaine Goodyear; sons Delbert (Bev), Andy (Judy) and Jerry (Glenda); sister Ivy Berkshire (Bruce) and Marion Stringer; brothers, Watson, Steve (Dot), Cyril (Winnie), Jim (Velma), Ansel (Alma), Marvin (Goldie), George (Leona), Perry (Pauline) and Paul (Patricia); eleven grandchildren; one great-grandson; brothers-in-law Joseph Miller (Hilda), Arthur Miller (Emmie), Edward Miller (Sandy) and Issac Parsons and a large circle of relatives and friends. LAITE, Douglas Ross (Merchant Navy WWII Veteran) - Passed peacefully away at Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Thursday, November 27, 2008, Douglas Ross Laite of Petley, aged 92 years. Predeceased by his wife Alfreda; brothers Fred and Walt; sons Lloyd and Boyce and grandson Merval Fry. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his daughter Berdina (late Doug Fry); sons Sterling (Darlene), John (Jessie), David (Jane) and Glen (Alvina); daughters-in-law Gloria and Helen; Jean Laite; sister Annie (late Wallace Walters); brothers Max (Sylvia) and Charles (Effie); sisters-in-law Ruple Laite and Joyce Laite; 19 grandchildren; 24 greatgrandchildren; and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville and Anglican Church, Petley. Funeral service held on Saturday, November 29, 2008 from Anglican Church, Petley with interment at Anglican Cemetery, Petley. William, daughters, Donna Chatman (Joseph), Doreen Penney, Dianne Mclntyre (Larry), son, Donald (Paula); grandchildren. Justin Chatman, Kenzie Mclntyre, Grant Chatman, Brandon Chatman, and Hannah Mclntyre; sisters, Sandra Soper (Nelson), Bonnie Baker; brothers, William King (Hilda), George King (Rhonda) and Danny King (Debbie) and also other family and friends. Elliott, Wallace Gordon - Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick's Mercy Home on Sunday, November 30, 2008, Gordon Elliott, age 76 of Jamestown, Bonavista Bay. Predeceased by his parents Charles and Melita, brothers George and Harvey, daughter Carol, son Keith and grandson Chad Wiseman. Left with fond and loving memories wife Reta of 54 years; Rick (Pamela) of St. John's, Sharon (Wilbert) Howse of Bloomfield, Deborah (friend, Pat) of St. John's, Rod (Elsie) of Mount Pearl and Anita (Ian Crane) of Corner Brook; grandchildren Bradford, Jasmine, Adam (Rhonda), Ryan, Brittany, Kalynn and Jared; sisters Alma Button, Victoria, Conception Bay and Florence Moss, Clarenville. Family viewing and cremation has taken place at Barrett's Funeral Home, St. John's. Family received friends on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at Fewer's Funeral Home, Lethbridge, Bonavista Bay. Private family memorial service took place at Fewer's Funeral Home, Lethbridge, December 3 with interment at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Jamestown. DAVIS, H. Laban - Passed away suddenly at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville on Friday, December 5, 2008, Laban Davis of Winterbrook, formerly of Port Blandford, aged 67 years. Predeceased by parents Hubert and Amy Davis and brother Gerald. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Ena of 45 years; daughter Cathy (John Mathioudakis); sons Hubert (Pam) of Port Blandford and Allan (Geraldine Skiffington) of Port Blandford; brother Eric (Dulcie) of Glovertown; sister-in-law Elsie of Port Blandford; two grandchildren Petros and Niko Mathioudakis; mother-in-law Ettie (Skiffington) Peddle and a large number of extended family and friends. Funeral service was held on Monday, December 8, 2008 at the United Church in Port Blandford with interment at United Cemetery, Port Blandford. BROWN, Lurley Dorcas - Passed away suddenly at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on Friday, December 5, 2008, Lurley Dorcas Brown of Clarenville, formerly of Eastport, aged 82 years. Predeceased by her husband Lewis; sons Aubrey and Wayne. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughters Ruth (Lloyd Legge), Eastport and Ellen (Dwayne Robarts), Newport, NS; son Boyd (Lorna), Clarenvilie; grandchildren Amanda, Angela (Barry), Michael, Scott (Holly), David (Jennifer), Gregory and Mackenzie; great-grandchildren Devon, Ryan, Kaelen, Jaiden, Austin and Taylor; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by first wife Sarah; second wife Priscilla; parents Richard and Frances Pardy; daughter Ella; daughter-in-law Elsie; grandson Roger Reid and granddaughter Tonya Strong; three sisters and five brothers. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his daughters Violet Reid (Eric), Grand-Falls Windsor and Dorothy Blundon (Rennie), Lethbridge; sons Albert (Dulcie Hynes), Lethbridge, Eliol (Donna), Lethbridge and Norman (Ella), Mount Pearl; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; his step-family and a large circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Predeceased by wife Elizabeth (Cooper) (2001), daughter Sharon Mason (1990), grandson Christopher Miller (1991) and brother Thomas (1965).
