DEVEAU, H. Eileen (nee Piercey)
Born: September 20th, 1937
Passed in: Wasaga Beach, Canada
Passed on: August 26th, 2018

Passed away peacefully at Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie, Ontario after a lengthy illness. Wife of J. Lewis (Lou) Deveau and mother of Glen L. Deveau. Predeceased by her parents, Robert (Bob) and Hazel Piercey, of Port Rexton, NL. Eileen will be sadly missed by her sister Rosina, brother David (Barbara) Piercey and sister Judith (Bruce Fisher), nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, friends and acquaintances from Bingo, Bowling and Rama. Eileen loved her family, books, crafts, flowers, nature and all things of the animal and bird kingdoms. Per Eileen's request, memorial tributes may be made to The Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals or the Humane Society.

ELLIS, Watson
Passed on: August 2nd, 2018

Passed away suddenly on Thursday, August 2, 2018, Watson Ellis of George's Brook, aged 70 years. Predeceased by his parents Clarence and Jane Ellis; brothers Malcolm, William and Ralph Ellis. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Marie of 50 years; children Randy (Lee), Alonzo (Connie), Tony (Shirley), Delores (Kenny) and Robby (Denise); grandchildren Chad, Samantha, Tyler, Tara, Shania, Shea-lee, Deanna, Devin, Dyamon and Logan; great grandchildren Lamaya, Joshua, Connor and Landon; sister Effie (late Harvey Payne); brothers Edward, Reginald (Mary), Manuel (Nellie) and Walter (Mary); many nieces and nephews; and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service took place on Monday, August 6, 2018 at Emmanuel Pentecostal Church, George's Brook with interment to follow at Milton-George's Brook Cemetery.

GUY, Karen
Passed on: August 28th, 2018

Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville, NL on August 28, 2018, Karen Guy of Lethbridge, aged 52 years. Predeceased by her mother Charity; nephew Terry Shane. Left with fond and loving memories are her sons Brian, Tyler (Sabrina); special friend Allan Holloway; father Ross; brothers Terry (Nancy), Derrick (Solonge); nieces and nephews Ryan, Corey, Cassandra, Courtney, Cody and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Lethbridge. Funeral service was held on Friday, August 31, 2018 at 2:00 PM from the United Church. Lethbridge with interment to follow at the United Cemetery, Lethbridge.

HISCOCK, Charles
Born: October 14th, 1919
Passed on: August 14th, 2018

Two months short of his 99th birthday Charles died peacefully at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on August 14, 2018. He is predeceased by his loving wife Irene Pearl, his son Chesley, daughter Doreen, grandson Steven and great granddaughter Tate, sons-in-law Rhodri and Joshua, his parents and seven brothers. Dad was a storyteller and we will miss his dry sense of humour and amazing strength. He was a true man of substance. He leaves to mourn his children Everett (Adelaide), Audrey (Brian), Clyde (Frances), Margaret (Wycliffe), Graham (Deborah) and Bruce (Lynette); daughter-in-law Lela; brother Gilbert (Joyce), sister-in-law Bernice, brothers-in-law Otto (Marjorie), Edgar (Bonnie) and Wilson, many nieces and nephews, 21 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Visitation to take place at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville on Thursday, August 16, 2018 from 7-9 pm. Funeral service to take place at 11:00 a.m. at Fewer's Memorial Chapel, Clarenville on Friday, August 17, 2018 with cremation to follow. Special thank you to Cozy Quarters Retirement Centre, Clarenville, Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville, and St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's for taking care of our precious dad. In lieu of flowers, donations accepted to the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville or St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's will be very much appreciated. Interment to take place at Deep Bight Cemetery at a later date.

PENNEY, Dorman
Passed on: August 2nd, 2018

Passed peacefully away on Thursday, August 2, 2018 Dorman Penney of Lethbridge. Predeceased by his first wife Blanche. Left with fond and loving memories, his wife Mary (nee Carter) of 39 years; son Craig (special daughter in law Denise); 3 grandchildren Geoffrey (Melody), Steven (Calla), Dayle (Marissa); 5 great grandchildren Jayden, Carson, Ella, Addalynn & Scarlette; sister Margaret Chislett; sisters in law Mae Short, Joan Frampton, Catherine Carter; brother Mansfield (Louise); brothers in law Rex Hayward (Rhonda), Dayle Hayward (Marie), John Carter and a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Fewer's Funeral Home Lethbridge on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 from 7-9 p.m. There will be a Private Funeral Service on Thursday, August 9, 2018 with interment to follow at United Cemetery, Lethbridge. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to a charity of one's choice.

PIKE, Albert
Passed on: August 10th, 2018

Passed peacefully away at the Lions Manor, Placentia, NL on Friday, August 10, 2018, Albert Pike of Portland, aged 92 years. Predeceased by his parents William & Frances; sisters Rita Holloway, Marjorie Butt; brother Eleazar. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Clara of 63 years; son Charlie (Beverly); four grandchildren Cory, Charlene (Blair), Melissa, Blair; three great grandchildren Quinn, Isabella, Nicholas; sisters in law Violet, Ada, Gladys, Ruth, Louise, Beulah; brother in law Fred (Ruby) and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Lethbridge on Monday, August 13, 2018. Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 from the United Church, Portland with interment to follow at the United Cemetery, Portland. Donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society.

PIKE, Nicholas
Passed on: August 3rd, 2018

Passed peacefully away at the St. Clare's Mercy Hospital in St. John's on Friday, August 3, 2018 Nicholas Pike of Portland, aged 23 years. Predeceased by his grandparents Clyde and Winifred Pike, Charlie and Annabelle Palmer. Left with fond and loving memories his parents Judy Pike and Kevin Palmer; numerous family members on both the Pike and Palmer families and a very large circle of friends. Remains rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Lethbridge. Funeral Service took place on Monday, August 6, 2018 from United Church, Portland with interment at United Cemetery, Portland.

SKIFFINGTON, Obediah (Obie)
Passed on: August 13th, 2018

Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre in St John's on Monday, August 13, 2018 Obediah (Obie) Skiffington of Musgravetown, aged 61 years. Predeceased by his father Cluney Skiffington and his father in law Clifford Hayter. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Lorinda of 27 years; children Kayla, and Corey (Katlin); one precious granddaughter Brooklynn; mother Winnie Skiffington; sisters Ruby Ivany (Melvin), Marjorie Rourke (Eric), Edith Harvie (Dave), Ivy Skiffington (Lloyd); brothers Roy (Sharon), Hubert (Barb) and a large number of nieces and nephews, family, friends, and special friend Gerald Thomas. Remains rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Lethbridge. Funeral Service took place at Heritage United Church, Musgravetown on Thursday, August 16, 2018 with interment at United Cemetery, Musgravetown. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Musgravetown Fire Department.
