Gulliford, Mathieu J.L. Visitation: Saturday August 5, 2017 at Memorial United Church Hall, Clarenville from 1 pm to 3 pm. Committal: Saturday, August 5, 2017 at the United Church Cemetery on Church Hill, Clarenville at 3 pm. Celebration of Life Service has already taken place in Fort Saskatchewan, AB. on February 6, 2017.

Elizabeth Short
Passed on: August 8th, 2017

Passed away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, Elizabeth Short of Clarenville, aged 95 years. Predeceased by her husband Arthur, daughter Karen and granddaughter Jill; son-in-laws Willis Penney and Hedley Pelley. Left with fond and loving memories are her daughters Betty Penney, Viola Pelley and Donna Andrews (David); son Eric (Marty); son-in-law Dave Blundon; 15 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; a number of great great grandchildren; sister Daisy Sutton; brother William Wiseman (Geraldine); and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service took place on Thursday at St. Mary's Anglican Church, Clarenville with interment at the Anglican Cemetery, Gin Cove. In her memory donations may be made to St. Mary's Anglican Church, Clarenville.

William Long
Passed on: July 5th, 2017

Passed peacefully away at Dr. O'Mahony Manor, Clarenville on July 5, 2017, William Long of Clarenville, aged 89 years. Predeceased by his wife Dulcie and son George; sisters Rita Strong (Sam), Lillian Leblanc (Maurice) and Mary Laite (Max); brother-in-law William Reid. Left with fond and loving memories are his daughter Nadine (William), Clarenville, Rosalind (Terry), North Bay, ON and Cynthia (Michel), Ripon, QC; sons Rod (Alice), Georges Brook, Dan, CBS and Steve (Mary), Clarenville; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sister Myrtle, Bonavista; brother Jim (Edna), Deep Bight; sisters-in-law Laura and Maisie, both of Clarenville; and a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville on Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 12 noon – 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at Pleasant Street Cemetery, Clarenville. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Clarenville Area SPCA.
