CROCKER, George
Passed away suddenly in Glovertown on August 4, 2000, a pioneer of Gander Department of Transportation at the age of 74 years. He will be sadly missed and remembered by his loving wife Mable (nee Sparkes); children: Robert (Shirley), Rosalind, Alice (John) Hollohan, Keith (Holly), Carol (Brian) Fitzpatrick; stepchildren: Yvonne (Leo) Pardy, Leon (Susan), Don (Karen), Angela (Larry), Maureen (Steve) Murphy, 18 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, mother-in-law Theresa Chatman; in-laws Jessie (Wilson), Ada, Judy (Hayward) Pike, Betty Chatman (Dave), Minnie (Reg) Roach, Dick (Donna) Chatman, Ronald Chatman, Lester Tucker, Rose Chatman, Emily Crocker, Joe Britton and a large circle of long time friends and fishing buddies. Donations may be made to the heart and stroke foundation.

RUSSELL, Ralph S.
Passed away at the Bonavista Peninsula Health Care Complex on August 23, 2000, Ralph Sexton Russell, aged 77 years. Ralph worked with Canada Post for 45 years and retired in 1986. He was a member of IOOF. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving wife, Millicent (nee Brown), brother Reverend Calvin Russell, and a wide circle of family and friends. Predeceased by brothers Sidney and George, and by sister Marjorie Burge. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
May he rest in peace.

PERRY, Josiah
Passed peacefully away at his home on Thursday, August 24, 2000 Josiah Perry of Bloomfield, aged 89 years. Predeceased by his wife, Ella Mae Perry (Lodge), July 1998, sister Marjorie Bennett, sister Lillian Bailey, brother William Perry and parents Alfred and Blanche Perry. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are special neice/daughter Geneva Holloway, St. John's; brother Tobias Perry (Blanche), Sydney, NS and Walter Perry (Rita), Bloomfield; granddaughter Jennifer DeSilva (Jorge), Ottawa, ON and great grandson Anthony DeSilva; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Lethbridge. Funeral service held on Sunday, August 27, 2000, from Salvation Army Citadel, Musgravetown. Interment at Salvation Army Cemetery, Musgravetown. In his memory, flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Bloomfield-Musgravetown Salvation Army Corps.

FITZGERALD, Doris
Passed peacefully away at Health Sciences Complex, St. John's on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2000, Doris Fitzgerald of Winterbrook, aged 64 years. Leaving to mourn life long friend John Ash and a large circle of relatives and friends. Rested at St. Mary's Anglican Church, Winterbrook, where the funeral took place on Friday, Sept. 1, 2000, with Interment at the Anglican cemetery, Winterbrook. No flowers by request. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Mary's Anglican Church Memorial Fund, Winterbrook.

PYE, Robert
Passed peacefully away at Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2000, Robert Pye of Lethbridge, aged 80 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are sister Delilah Guy, Lethbridge; brothers Willis Pye and Leonard Pye (Marion), both of Lethbridge and a circle of other relatives and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Lethbridge. Funeral service held on Thursday, August 31, 2000 from United Church, Lethbridge with Interment at United Church Cemetery, Lethbridge.

SHARPE, Baxter
Passed away suddenly on Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2000, Baxter Sharpe of Bonavista, aged 79 years. Leaving to mourn two sisters: Jessie Fisher (Fred) and Pearl Randell at Bonavista; one brother Frank Sharpe at Sidney BC, special friend John Harris at Bonavista and a number of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral service was held on Friday, Sept. 1, 2000, from Strahie's Funeral Home with interment at the Anglican Cemetery, Bonavista.
