Passed on: April 7th, 2018

Passed peacefully away at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Saturday, April 7, 2018, Cynthia Dalton of Shoal Harbour, aged 69 years. Predeceased by her parents Ronald and Anita Kirk and father-in-law Clarence Dalton. Left with fond and loving memories her husband Stan of 46 years; children Trisha Dalton and Elizabeth van der Bij; son-in-law Derek van der Bij; all of Edmonton, AB; grandchildren Isabella and Arianna Coish; mother-in-law Marguerite Dalton; and a large circle of family and friends. Visitation was held at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service took place on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Fewer's Memorial Chapel, Clarenville. A private family interment followed. In her memory donations may be made to Daffodil Place, St. John's.

GREEN, Emma Jane (Short)
Born In: Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada
Passed in: North York, Ontario, Canada

Born in Deep Bight, Newfoundland on November 23, 1928. Passed peacefully away at the Baycrest Centre in North York, Ontario on April 16, 2018. Predeceased by her husband Alwin Clyde Green and parents Arthur and Mary Short. Left with precious memories is her daughter Kathy. Emma is survived by her sister Lucy Meadus, nieces and nephews. She will forever be missed by friends, dear neighbours and Vincent. Service to be held this summer.

HARRIS, Ron
Passed on: April 29th, 2018

Passed peacefully away after a brief illness at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville, on Sunday, April 29, 2018, Ron Harris of Bloomfield, aged 78 years. Predeceased by his wife Phyllis; brothers Eldon and Melvin. Left with fond and loving memories his children Corrina (Eric Peddle), Derrick (Annie), Bev (Darryl Day), Dwayne (Cindy) and Darrell (Janice); 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild; sister Marie (Ross Ivany); brother Clyde (Ruth); sister-in-law Robin; and a large circle of family and friends. Ron was a long time employee of Pyramid Construction, St. John's and made many lifelong friends over his career. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home in Lethbridge. Funeral service took place on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from the Salvation Army Citadel, Musgravetown with interment at Salvation Army Cemetery, Musgravetown.

OSMOND-CLENCH, Betty Hilda

Passed away at St. Patrick's Mercy Home, St. John's on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, Betty Osmond of Lethbridge, aged 70 years. Predeceased by husband Billy Clench, parents Kenneth and Priscilla Osmond (Holloway); brother Clyde (Gladys); sister Patsy Smith (Ernest) and parents-in-law Raymond and Dolly Clench. Left with fond and loving memories son Kenny, St. John's; brother Gar (Wanda), Barry (Beverley) and Gerald (Becky), North Carolina; the Clench family of Shoal Harbour; her St. Pat's family for the past 6½ years; and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Lethbridge. Funeral service took place on Saturday, April 7, 2018 from Islandview Salvation Army Citadel, Musgravetown with interment at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Lethbridge. Majors Austin and Lillian Randell performing the service.

SMITH, Ronald J.
Born October 1,1958, passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at G .B Cross Memorial Hospital where he lost his battle with Cancer. He has left to mourn his Mother Myra, his Wife Marjorie, his Daughter Lisa, his Stepdaughters Dawn and Corina and his Stepson Edward. He will be missed by his Aunts, Ivy Vey and Jean Langdon, and many Cousins and Friends. Predeceased by his Father Norman. Cremation has taken place and there will be a Celebration of Life Service at the St. Mary's Anglican Church, Hodges Cove on Saturday April 15th at 2pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Palliative Care Wing or the Chemotherapeutic Unit.

Passed peacefully away at Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville on Thursday, April 12, 2018 Cathlene (Jean) Tilley of Clarenville, aged 92 years. Predeceased by her husband Raymond, parents Annie and Herbert Strong, brothers Robert, William, James, Charles, Donald and Roy; sisters-in-law Angela, Jessie and Violet. Left with fond and loving memories her children Bob (Gerri), Rona Maidment (Bill), Linda Strong (Lloyd); all of Clarenville, Letitia Hapgood (Kirk) of Arnold's Cove; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sister Rona Baker of Clarenville; sisters-in-law Marjorie Strong and Nita Strong, both of Clarenville; a large circle of family and friends as well as her friends at Clarenville Retirement Center. Funeral Service took place at the Salvation Army Citadel, Clarenville on Sunday, April 15, 2018 with interment at Pleasant Street Cemetery, Clarenville.

TRICKETT, Vida
Passed on: April 18th, 2018

Passed peacefully away at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, Vida Trickett of Clarenville, aged 99 years. Predeceased by her husband George. Left with fond and loving memories her son Lorne (Ina); grandchildren Gregory and Andrea (Ryan); brother-in-law Bob Benson; a number of nieces, nephews and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service took place on Monday, April 23, 2018 at Fewer's Memorial Chapel with interment at the Anglican Cemetery, Carbonear at a later date. In her memory donations may be made to Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital.
