Daniel Gerard Turner

Passed suddenly away at the G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Thursday March 27, 2014 Daniel Gerard Turner of Snook's Harbour, Random Island, formerly of St. Brendan's, in his 59th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his daughter Danielle Turner (Dave), wife Marilyn, stepdaughter Melissa (Dean), stepson Stephen (Alaina), 3 stepgrandsons: Tyler, Dawson and Keegan, brothers: Cyril, Andrew, Ron, Charlie, Pat and Les, sisters: Marie, Theresa, Kathleen, Margerite and Lucy plus a large circle of other family and friends. Pre-deceased by parents Susan and Daniel Turner, brothers: Gregory and Pat. A service of remembrance was held at Blundons Funeral Home on Saturday March 29, 2014. Cremation to follow with Interment to take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.

Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G.B Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville on Sunday, March 23, 2014 Harvey Day of Lethbridge aged 75 years. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Florence of 55 years; daughters Joan Fry (Irvine), Eileen Day (Hubert Brown), Kelly Day; two grandchildren Abigail and Ashton (Matthew Bragg); sisters Ruby (Herbert - deceased) and Maxine (Ernest); brother Walter Day (Joyce) and a large circle of family and friends. Remains rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Lethbridge. A Memorial Service took place on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 from Fewer's Funeral Home, Lethbridge with interment at the Anglican Cemetery, Lethbridge.

Herbert George Greening

Passed peacefully away at Dr. Twomey Health Care Center, Botwood, NL on Friday March 21, 2014 Herbert George Greening of Botwood in his 71st year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his daughter Kimberly and husband Keith of Botwood as well as granddaughter Carly, special family Daniel, Jennifer, Caleb and Michaela Brown plus a large circle of other family and friends. Pre-deceased by his wife Sophie, brothers: Limberg, Llewelyn, sisters: Olive, Susie, Mable and Elizabeth. Funeral service was officiated by Rev. G. Cook from Emmanuel United Church, Charlottetown on Monday March 24, 2014 with interment following at Community Cemetery Charlottetown. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Clarenville SPCA. Pallbearers were: Carly Peyton, Keith Peyton, Blanche West, Walter Greening, Douglas Simmonds and Daniel Brown. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Blundons Funeral Home Shoal Harbour.

Predeceased by parents, James and Stella Vokey; brothers, Wesley and Colin; parents-in-law, Eric and Edna Pitcher; brothers-in-law, Eric King and Wilson Hart. Mourning his great loss are his wife, Ruby (54 years); sons, Richard and Darren; daughter, Christine (Wilson Ivany); grandchildren, Printzline, Bradley (Katie), Amber, Chloe and Hailey; great grandchildren, Gracie and Lucas; sisters, Lavina and Susan; brothers, Garland and Herbert (Julie); sisters-in-law, Barbara, Caroline, Bertha, Doreen and Phyllis; brothers-in-law, Arch (Dete), Ray, Ronnie and many other relatives and friends. Brown; sons-in-law Ewart Hall and Allan Thorne; granddaughter Jennifer Hall and grandson-in-law Craig Moss. Left with fond and loving memories to celebrate her long life are her daughters Shirley Hall, Elizabeth K. Svendsen (Edward) and Ellen C. Thorne; daughter-in-law Rowena Brown; grandchildren Jim Brown (Sharon), Colleen Smart (Terry), Janet Moss, Ewart Hall, Elaine Maeland (Martin), John Hall, Philip Hall, Steven Svendsen, Heather Svendsen (David Hanger), Allan D. Predeceased by first husband William Best, second husband James Peach; daughter Matilda; granddaughter Mallory; parents Fred and Matilda Rodway; brothers Clev and wife Marion and Victor Rodway; daughter-in-law Delores Best. Passed peacefully away surrounded by her family at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Wednesday, April 9, 2014, Mildred Reader nee Pretty of Bloomfield, 2 weeks short of her 89th year. Predeceased by her husband William J. Reader; parents Frank and Emily Pretty; sisters Ada, Emma and Annie; brothers Ernest, Leonard, Stanley, Angus and Leslie. Left with fond and loving memories her twin daughters Glenda (Rex Ralph), Winterbrook and Gloria (Edgar Skiffington), Musgravetown; son Boyd (Shirley), Lethbridge; six grandchildren Lorrie Ann Ralph (Joey Cooze), Brian Skiffington (Trina), Kimberley Tucker (Reginald), Denise Holloway (Paul), Krista Chatman (David) and Blair Reader (Barbara Ann); 10 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law Cavelle Pretty, Dildo and Cave Greening, Clarenville; a large circle of nieces & nephews, neighbours and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Lethbridge. Funeral service took place on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the Salvation Army Citadel, Musgravetown with interment at the Salvation Army Cemetery. Predeceased by his parents Lyman and Wilhelmena Strong, wife Margaret. Left with fond and loving memories his children Larry (Angela), Randy and Sheldon (Donna); grandchildren Fraser, Madison, A.J., Justin and Megan; sisters Beatrice West (Joe), Judy Stanley (Les), Florence Wiseman (Ted) and Mabel West; brothers Bruce (Pauline) and Bernard and a large circle of family and friends. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends gave their last respects to Larry on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville.

Passed away at the Harbour Wing of the Dr. Albert O'Mahony Manor in Clarenville on Friday, April 18, 2014 Otto Jacob Martin of Little Heart's Ease aged 84 years. Predeceased by his parents Ezekiel and Mary Alice, daughter Gail Parrott, brothers Eric, Jack, Howard, Ted; sisters Marcie, Florence and Dinah. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Nellie of 61 years; son Rocky (Peggy) of Little Heart's Ease; son in law Wayne Parrott of St. Bernard's; granddaughter Lana (Lorne Rowsell) of Little Heart's Ease; grandsons Mark and Todd Puddester of Little Heart's Ease; great granddaughter August Gayle Rowsell of Little Heart's Ease; sister Evelyn Dwyer of Grand Falls; and a large circle of nephews, nieces, relatives and close friends. At his request, cremation has taken place. He rested at Fewer's Funeral Home in Little Heart's Ease. Memorial Service took place on Wednesday April 23, 2014 at the United Church, Little Heart's Ease with interment of Otto and daughter Gail at the United Cemetery, Little Heart's Ease. He leaves to mourn his wife of 66 years, Emma (nee Kean ) ; daughter Sharon Carpenter (Bruce); son Peter (Mona); grandchildren: Adam (Kelly), Victoria (Dennis), Peter, Laura (Richard), Carolyn (Damian), Jessica (Kyle), and Christina; great-grandchildren: Andrew, Nicolas, Brooke, Tyler, Logan, Reed, and Alex ; as well as many other relatives and friends. Funeral service took place on Sunday, April 12, 2014 from Strathie's Funeral Home, Catalina with interment at the Anglican Cemetery, Catalina.

Doreen (Hiscock) Anderson
, at age 57, passed peacefully but suddenly away at the Dr. G.B Cross Memorial Hospital on April 20, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was a kind and loving soul who was predeceased by her Husband Joshua (1999) and Mother Irene (2003). Doreen had a huge heart and one of her biggest joys was caring for the children in her life. She had a young imagination, was known for her beautiful smile, a positive personality and touched the hearts of many. She leaves behind her Father Charles Hiscock, Brothers Chesley (Lela), Bruce (Lynette), Everett (Adelaide) and Graham (Debbie), Sisters Margaret Hampton (Wycliff) & Audrey Stringer (Brian). Doreen also leaves behind extended family including many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held at United Church in Deep Bight Tuesday April 22, 2014, 2-4 & 7-9 and Wednesday April 23, 2014, 2-4 & 7-9. Funeral will be held at the United Church in Deep Bight Thursday April 24th, 2014 at 11 am. Any donations made to the family will be given to the heart and stroke foundation.
