We regret to announce the peaceful passing of John Elias Keough, age 79, from Plate Cove East, at the Bonavista Hospital on Monday, March 11, 2013. Predeceased by his parents John and Margaret Keough, Brothers Mark, Ignaitious and Michael. Left to mourn with many precious and loving memories are Brother Andrew (Patricia), and Sister Mary Bridgett, Nephews and Nieces and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Plate Cove from where the funeral service, officiated by Father Lugtu, took place on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 with interment following.

Passed peacefully away on March 24, 2013 at Chancellor Park, St. John's, Florence Cole, age 96 years, formerly of Amherst Cove. Predeceased by her spouse Frank Cole; children: Benvy and Daphanie Cole; parents: Mary and Herber Cole; son-in-law Bruce Sheppard; and sister Mildred Cole. Leaving to mourn her daughter Doreen Sheppard; granddaughter Ginelle Jones (Husband Jamie); sisters: Cathy Hicks and Janet Abbott; nieces, nephews, family and a close circle of friends. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. John Gillam took place on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 from St. Nicholas Church, Amherst Cove with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Amherst Cove. . - Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Thursday, March 28, 2013, Alec Stanley of George's Brook, in his 80th year. Predeceased by his first wife Effie; parents Maxwell & Mary Ann. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Ella of 10 years; sons Terry (Diana), Scott (Dana) both of Labrador City; step son Freeman (Juanita) of Clarenville; six grandchildren Christopher (Julie), Patti, Amanda (Andrew), Meaghan (Andrew), Krystal (Derek), Chad; three great grandchildren, Tanner, Gracen, Samantha; sister Madge Bailey of George's Brook and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service was held on Monday, April 1, 2013 at 2 pm from the United Church, Shoal Harbour with interment at the Milton-George's Brook Cemetery. In his memory donations may be made to the United Church, Shoal Harbour.

Jean Viola Bartlett (nee Luther)

Passed peacefully away at the Lions Manor, Placentia on March 30, 2013, Jean Bartlett of Sunnyside and Gander, aged 85 years. Predeceased by her husband Harry, brothers George and Les, sister Myrtle Russo, daughter in law Diane Bartlett, son in law Roland Reid. Left with fond and loving memories are her son Peter; daughter Shirley Reid; sisters Lillian Walsh, Rose Griffiths and Marie Parsons. Grandsons Kurt (Natalie), Karl (Lesley), Douglas (Leah), Steven (Jackie), Philip (Lisa), two precious great granddaughters Lyla and Brooke; niece's Melvie Burry and Judy Beck. Also leaving to mourn, friend Robert Piercey, as well as a number of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place and the funeral service will be at a later date. In her memory donations may be made to the NL Alzheimer's Society or a charity of ones choice. The family would like to express its thanks to the staff of the Clarenville Retirement Center and Lions Manor in Placentia.

Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on Monday, March 25, 2013, Cora Murphy of Charlottetown, aged 86 years. Predeceased by husband Arthur; sons Andrew and Winston; daughter-in-law Gloria. Left with fond and loving memories her daughters Rosalie (Jack), Verley (Graham), Sheila (Elias) and Marion (Wayne); sons Cyril (Wavie) and Garland; 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; companion Issac Murphy; and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Salvation Army Citadel, Charlottetown. Funeral service took place on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the Salvation Army Citadel, Charlottetown with interment at Charlottetown Cemetery.

Passed on: April 2nd, 2013

Passed away peacefully at the age of 101, Florence Jane Parsons of Bloomfield. Predeceased by her husband Kaspar. Left with fond and loving memories sons Baxter (Verna) and Kenneth Winston (Phyllis); grandchildren Christine, Tony (Gail), Dawn and Christy (Ari); six great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; special niece Edith and husband Alonzo Stead; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Lethbridge. Funeral service held on Friday, April 5, 2013 at Heritage United Church, Musgravetown with interment at United Cemetery, Musgravetown. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of ones choice.

Maisie Bungay
Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on April 1st 2013 Maisie Frances Bungay age 80 years. Predeceased by sister Mona (2006), son Keith (2009). Left with loving memories are her husband and best friend Reg, son Kevin (Suzette) of Winnipeg, MB., daughter Catherine (John) Butler of Gander, daughter-in-law Kim of St. John's, brother Leonard (Joan) of Halifax, NS., sister Mae Kit of Gander. Grandchildren Kevin, Margaret, John, Stacey and Kolby, 11 great grandchildren. Also a large circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Rested at Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander. Funeral service was held Thursday, April 4th from St. Martins Anglican Cathedral, Gander. Interment All Saints Cemetery. Predeceased by parents Moses and Bessie Brown; sisters Alvina Lambert and Emma Rowsell (Doug); brothers Seymour (Lydia) and Gordon; sister-in-law Mabel Brown. Left with fond and loving memories her husband Dan of 50 years; daughter Cassandra (Dean); son Danny (Doreen); grandchildren Melissa (Justin), Jeffery and Michael; sister Shirley Brown and Patsy Payne (Ambrose); brothers Doug (Christine) and Watson; brother-in-law Jim Lambert; sister-in-law Daphne Brown; special friends June and Violet Diamond; and a large circle of family and friends. Stella Jane Moores (nee Granter)
Passed on: April 7th, 2013

Passed away at G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville, April 7, 2013, age 91, predeceased by her husband Milton in 2005. She leaves behind, with loving memories sisters Gladys and Charlotte, children Naida, Wayne, Nancy and Barry, grandchildren John, Jamie, Stella and Julie, many extended family and friends. She taught school in Clarenville for many years, retiring in 1973. She was a generous, loving, caring, supportive mother and grandmother, an energetic, industrious woman who always loved to read. She kept high standards in all things, even the smallest tasks. Stella was cremated as per her instructions and her ashes laid to rest in the Jehovah's Witnesses' Cemetery on Random Island. Grateful thanks from the family to those who by their presence, kindness and caring, helped ease our grief and loss.

Martin Henry Stone
Born: April 21st, 1917
Passed on: April 15th, 2013

It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Martin Henry Stone, from Clarenville (formerly from Random Island) at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville. Predeceased by his wife, Nellie, parents, Mark and Blanche Stone, granddaughter, Valerie , brothers, Harve and Selby Stone and sister, Nita Hobbs (William). Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories are his children, Berkley (Julie), Vera (Frank), Daphne (Les), Bernice, Donna (Francis), Selby (Denise), Alec (Marina), Gordon (Marion), Violet (Ray) and Terry (Gail); 28 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; sisters-in-law, Beatrice and Helen Stone and many other relatives and friends. Rested at the Salvation Army Citadel, Clarenville from where the funeral service, officiated by Captain Anthony LeDrew, took place on Thursday, April 18, 2013 with interment following at the Pleasant Street Salvation Army Cemetery, Clarenville.
