CHISLETT, Van Charles
Van Charles Chislett of Ottawa, (originally from Newfoundland), retired teacher, passed away peacefully on Tuesday January 14, 2014 at the age of 77, after a long illness. Much loved husband of Lise Perrier; son of the late Charles Sr. Chislett and of the late Bertha Cadwell; dear brother of Cyril (late Marie Albert) and Paul (Jodie Kaeding); also survived by nephews Eric Chislett, Eric Perrier (Sylvie Leger), Christian Perrier (Isabelle Vincent), niece Robyn Chislett, special friend Kelsa and loyal and caring friends. Special thanks and deep appreciation to the CCAC, Dr. Louise Coulombe and family members for the services and assistance provided to Van during his illness. Friends and family are invited to visit at Beechwood Cemetery and Funeral Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue (East of Vanier Parkway), Ottawa from 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 21, until the Memorial Services in the Sacred Space at 11 a.m., to be followed by a reception. Memorial donations in Van's name to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation, 40 Ruskin St., Local H2408, Ottawa, Ontario K1Y 4W7 or to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation, 704-265 Carling Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario K1S 9Z9 would be appreciated.
