WISEMAN, ERIC
1941-2011

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Eric Colin Wiseman announce his passing at the Central Regional Health Center in Grand Falls-Windsor on September 2, 2011 at the age of 69. Eric retired from the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary. Predeceased by his brother Willie. Left with fond and loving memories are his sons: David Wiseman (Sherry) of CBS, Glenn Wiseman (Nickey) of Nine Mile River, NS, Jason Wiseman (Jodi) of Fort McMurray and daughter Rhonda Penney (John) of Beaver Bank, NS. Also leaving to mourn sister Hazel Weir and Marilyn Kidd; 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Rev. Catherine Gutjahr conducted the funeral service from the Faith United Church in Little Bay Islands on September 6, 2011. Interment was at the United Church Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

HEWLETT, LLOYD
1956-2011

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lloyd Hewlett announce his passing at his home in South Brook on September 2, 2011 at the age of 55. Lloyd retired from Corner Brook Pulp & Paper. Predeceased by his father, Harvey Hewlett and brother Glenn Hewlett. Left with fond and loving memories is his daughter Justina Parsons-Burton (Alvin Burton) of South Brook; siblings: Herman Hewlett (Chris) of Lone Butte, BC, Gerald Hewlett (Maggie) of St. Patrick's, Neil Hewlett (Doris) of Elliot Lake, ON, Elsie Hewlett of Springdale; special nieces Paula (Scott) and Emily Murdock of South Brook. Also leaving to mourn special friend of 30 years and mother of their daughter, Marilyn Parsons, mother Marjorie Hewlett, grandchildren Ethan Burton, Brooke Burton, Keisha Parsons, 9 nieces and nephews, 5 great-nieces and nephews, special friends - Hughie Parsons, Gord Fowlow, Alvin Dicks, Travis Bath, Hilda Saunders, Willie Dicks and a large circle of close family and friends. Pastor Kerry Northcotte conducted the funeral service from the Pentecostal Tabernacle in South Brook on August 8, 2011. Interment was at the Pentecostal Cemetery. Urnbearer was Travis Bath. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

BURTON, HAROLD
1954-2011

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Harold Burton announces his passing at his home in King's Point on September 4, 2011 at the age of 57. Harold was a member of the Pentecostal Church, King's Point. Harold retired from the Pulp and Paper Industry. Predeceased by his father Harold Melby Burton. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Judy Burton; sons: Samuel (Sharon) of King's Point, Stephen (Kayla) of Paradise and daughter Lorie (Corey) of King's Point. Also leaving to mourn 3 grandchildren: Chelsey, Samantha, Jackson; mother, Jane Burton; sisters: Rhoda, Mavis (Bud) and Loretta (Silas). Pastor Benjamin Brown conducted the funeral service from the King of King's Pentecostal Church in King's Point on Wednesday, September 7, 2011. Interment was at the Interfaith Cemetery. Pallbearers were Wayne Burton, Boyd Burt, Barry Kelly, Bud McKay, John Matthews and Dwayne White. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

PYNN, GORDON
1926-2011

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gordon Henry Pynn announces his passing at the Springdale Hospital in Springdale on September 10, 2011 at the age of 85. Gordon was a member of the Men's Fellowship and Past Member of the Springdale Lions Club. Gordon retired from Forman with Vanguard Wood Harvesters (Garnet Warr), Springdale, NL. Predeceased by wife Edna Pynn (2001); parents, George & Maggie Pynn; daughter, Gloria Saunders (1997) and brother, Don. Left with fond and loving memories is his sons: Baxter (Iris) of Springdale, Wade (Kim) of Springdale and daughters: Audene Toms of Drayton Valley, AB, and Sylvia McLeod (Rob) of Campbellton, NS. Also leaving to mourn sister, Gwendolyn England of Springdale, son-in-law Otto Saunders of Springdale, sister-in-law Winnie Pynn of Springdale, special friend Betty Best, 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, plus a large circle of family and friends. Major Lindsay Oxford conducted the funeral service from the Salvation Army Citadel in Springdale on September 12, 2011. Interment was at the Salvation Army Cemetery. Pallbearers were Kent Toms, Andre Saunders, Seymore Guy, Scott Pynn, Garnett Warr and Matthew Brenton. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

Cemetery, Brent's Cove. Pallbearers were Gerard Haas, David Haas, Neil Haas, Jerome Haas, Damien Haas and Darren Haas and the crossbearer was Wayne Haas. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Wimbleton's Funeral Home, Baie Verte.

ANTHONY, EVELYN MAY
1922-2011

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Evelyn May Anthony announces her passing at the Green Bay Health Center in Springdale on September 16, 2011 at the age of 89. Evelyn was a member of the Salvation Army Home League. Predeceased by husband Pearce; son Ernest; parents Arthur and Gertrude Rice; brothers Ernest & Lloyd Rice; sisters Minnie, Edna, Ethel & Melvina; 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Left with fond and loving memories are her sons Loderick (Doreen) of Pilley's Island, Melvin (Sharon) of Nova Scotia, Gerald (Clarrissia) of Pilley's Island and daughters Nellie (late Raymond Croucher) of Beaumont, Gloria (Clarence Roberts) of Triton and Judy (Vaden Mitchell) of Bathurst, NL. Also leaving to mourn sister Pearl; brother Harold; 17 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Majors Marvin and Vera Youden conducted the funeral service from the Salvation Army Citadel in Pilley's Island on Tuesday, September 2, 2011. Interment was at the Salvation Army Cemetery. Pallbearers were her grandsons: Paul, Andrew, Rodney, Ricky, Cory, Bradley and Floyd. Honorary pallbearers were granddaughters Trina and Alexandra. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

CHATMAN, STEPHEN THEODORE
1954-2011

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Stephen Theodore Chatman announce his passing at the Green Bay Health Care Center in Springdale on September 23, 2011 at the age of 57. Predeceased by father and mother Theophilus and Marie Wells. Left with fond and loving memories is his wife of 38 years, Dianne; sons: Kenneth (Erica), Chad (Amy) and Leonard (Sandy) and daughter Jennifer all of Springdale. Also leaving to mourn sisters: Mary (Bill), Edna (Roy), Darlene (Wilson), Marilyn (Bradley); brothers: David (Marion), Robert (Elsa), Edgar (Geneva), Reuben (Sue), Wallace (Julie), Edward (Patricia), Rodney (Karen), Gerald (Fanny); sister-in-law Beverly Reid; grandchildren: Carly, Ryan, Cieara, Clenna, Hannah-Marie, Baby Carly, Stephen, Kobe, Kayde, Frankie, Keano, Sebastian, Kendra; daughter-in-law Tanis, special friends Violet & Irvine Rowsell and a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Majors Robert and Cassie Kean conducted the funeral service from the Salvation Army Citadel in Springdale on September 28, 2011. Interment was at the Salvation Army Cemetery. Pallbearers were Irvine Rowsell, Merlin Wells, Wayne Young, Bill Adams, Jason Chatman and Kevin Peddle. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

BURTON, ELIJAH LAWRENCE
1926-2011

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elijah Burton announce his passing at the Valley Vista Seniors Home in Springdale on September 26, 2011, at the age of 84. Elijah was a member of the Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle, South Brook. Predeceased by his wife Bridget; son Stedman, 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Left with fond and loving memories are his sons: Roy (Golda) of Alcorn, BC, Jerry (Donna) of South Brook, Fraser (Linda) of Esterhazy, SK; and daughters: Pansy (Otto) of South Brook, Lorraine of South Brook, Roxanne (Stanley) of Harbour Round, and Marilyn (Edward) of Maidstone, AB. Also leaving to mourn sisters: Ruby, Margaret (Frank), Shirley and brother Allan (Ursala). Pastor Lindsey Foster conducted the funeral service from the Pentecostal Church in South Brook on September 28, 2011. Interment was at the Pentecostal Cemetery. Pallbearers were George Dawe, Stanley Giles, Vincent Newman, Winston Fowlow, Selby McKay, Lewis Rowsell. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes. The family extends their heart felt thanks to all those who helped ease the sorrow in the passing of our father. Special thank-you to the staff of the Valley Vista Seniors Home, Pastor Lindsey Foster, Central Funeral Home, the pallbearers, and the church ladies. The thoughtfulness and kindness for caring friends and family will always be remembered.
