FOSTER, RAYFIELD WILSON
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rayfield Wilson Foster announce his passing at the Springdale Hospital in Springdale on September 5, 2009 at the age of 60. Ray retired from Global Transport Limited, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia in August of 2002. Predeceased by mother, Hilda Mae; step-father, Clarence Rodgers; mother-in-law, Leah Rideout and father-in-law, Herbert Rideout. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife, Dorothy; sons, Travis of Sudbury, Ontario, Kenny of Sudbury, Ontario. Also leaving to mourn brothers-in-law, John Matchem of Milltown, NL, Eric Haas of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Johnny Haas of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; sisters-in-law, Christine Sanders of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Nola Takajjart of Denver, Colorado and Paula Zurek of Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Also leaving to mourn special friends, Mary and Roger Haas and a large circle of family and Friends. Majors Henry and Beatrice Bingle conducted the funeral service at the Salvation Army Citadel in King's Point on September 8, 2009. Interment was at the Interfaith Cemetery in King's Point. Pallbearers were Calvin Rideout, Junior Foster, Clarence Foster, Ross Osmond, Dave Osmond and Arch Newbury. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

JACOBS, ERIC
Westport, NL

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Eric James Jacobs, age 72, announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Monday, September 7, 2009. Predeceased by his wife, Shirley; infant son, Josiah; parents, Ernest and Florence Jacobs; brother, Raymond Jacobs; parents-in-law, Josiah and Mabel Randell; brothers-in-law, Alex Jacobs and Douglas Hewitt. Left with fond and loving memories are his children, Elaine Jacobs, Westport, NL, Katie Andrews (Howard), Gander, NL, Raymond Jacobs (Tammy), Kitchener, ON, Ernest Jacobs (Sandy), Kitchener, ON, Mabel Jacobs-Winsor (Peter), St. John's, NL; grandchildren, Sarah Bradley and Riley Andrews; Ashlyn, Evan and Reid Jacobs; Garrett and Erica Jacobs; and Jacob Winsor; siblings, Marjorie Regular (Ted), Agnes Hewitt, Dulcie Hewitt (George), Norman Jacobs (Ruby), Allan Jacobs (Elizabeth), and Hilda Jacobs; siblings-in-law, Millie Hewitt and Edward Randell (Joan); and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Archdeacon Edward King conducted the funeral service at St. Peter's Anglican Church and Cemetery, Westport, NL on Friday, September 11, 2009. Pallbearers were Raymond Jacobs, Ernest Jacobs, Howard Andrews, Peter Winsor, Norman Jacobs, Allan Jacobs and Fred Burton. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Wimbleton's Funeral Home, Baie Verte.

BOWERS, WALTER
Springdale, NL

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Walter George Bowers announce his passing at the Valley Vista Seniors Home in Springdale on September 12, 2009 at the age of 89. Walter retired from the Farming and Mining Industry. Predeceased by parents, Claude and Ettie; brothers, Neil, Woodrow, Hayward and Clarke; sisters, Triffie and Vera. Left with fond and loving memories are brothers, Benjamin (Patricia) of St. John's and Steadman (Daisy) of Bell Island. Also leaving to mourn a large circle of nephews and nieces. Reverend Patricia Melindy conducted the funeral service at Central Funeral Homes in Springdale on September 14, 2009. Interment was at the United Church Cemetery in Nippers Harbour. Pallbearers were Claude Bowers, Wade Bowers, Ben Bowers, Gerald Bowers and Phyllis Bowers and Ken Goodyear. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

WIMBLETON, LILY MAY
Shoe Cove, NL

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lily May Wimbleton, age 82, announce her passing at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte, NL on Monday, September 14, 2009. Predeceased by her parents, Edward & Annie Welshman; siblings, Harold Welshman (Lucy), Charles Welshman (Effie), Gertie Foster (Augustus), and Lucy Gray (Leander); parents-in-law, Samuel & Nettie Wimbleton; siblings-in-law, Joyce Welshman, Reginald Winsor, George Wimbleton (Josephine), Thomas Wimbleton (Doris), Jacob Wimbleton (Alfreda), and Harvey Wimbleton. Left with fond and loving memories are her children, Gerald Wimbleton (Ida), Shoe Cove, NL; and Lottie Anstey (Lindy), King's Point, NL; grandchildren - Douglas Wimbleton, Shoe Cove, NL; Loretta Boutilier, Dartmouth, NS; and Lori-Ann Best (Darrin), Guelph, ON; and great-grandchildren, Brandy & Ryley Boutilier, Dartmouth, NS; and Morgan & Adam Best; siblings, Jessie Winsor and Harvey Welshman; sister-in-law, Evelyn Wimbleton; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rev. Bruce Rideout conducted the funeral service at First United Church and Cemetery, Shoe Cove, NL on Wednesday, September 16, 2009. Pallbearers were Roy Wimbleton, Henry Wimbleton, Ray Wimbleton, Malcolm Welshman, Steward Welshman, and Gerry Winsor. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Wimbleton's Funeral Home, Baie Verte.

TUCKER, DAREN
It is with great sadness that the families of the Late Daren Jason Tucker announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, on September 18, 2009 at the age of 43. Predeceased by brothers, Gary and Clarence. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are daughter, Rochelle; former wife, Janice; parents, Calvin & Gwendolyn; brother, Dale; sisters, Vinetta (Frank) Ryan and Christina Tucker; nephews, Robbie Ryan, Rekki Ryan, Gavin Andrews; niece, Amanda Andrews; as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. The funeral service took place Tuesday, September 22, from the Calvary Pentecostal Church, South Brook, Halls Bay. Interment followed at the Pentecostal Cemetery, South Brook, Halls Bay. Flowers greatly accepted as well as donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one's choice. Pallbearers were: Bruce Fifield, Nat Croucher, George Dawe, Trent Newman, Lewis Rowsell, and Paul Newman. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 10 Bayley Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.

HUXTER, EMMA
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Emma Huxter announce her passing at the Valley Vista Seniors Home in Springdale on September 26, 2009 at the age of 84. Emma was a member of the United Church Women. Predeceased by husband, Herbert; son, Dexter and daughter, Diane. Left with fond and loving memories are her sons, Cecil (Doris) of South Brook, Kenneth of South Brook, Lloyd (Cavell) of Edmonton and Dean (Vera) of South Brook and daughters, Louise (Fred) of Deer Lake, Pauleen of Rocky Harbour, Sue (Dave) of Deer Lake, Naida (Marcel) of Toronto, Peggy (Harvey) of Triton, Sherri of South Brook and Penny of Fort MacMurray. Also leaving to mourn 24 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and give great-great-grandchildren. Reverend Joan Brinston conducted the funeral service at the Pentecostal Church in South Brook on September 29, 2009. Interment was at the United Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons, Leyon Williams, Cyril Williams, Jeffrey Adams, Jesse Huxter, Morgan Henstridge and Keith Huxter. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear, Jim Maidment and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

TULK, CLAYTON
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Clayton Tulk announce his passing at the Green Bay Medical Center in Springdale on September 27, 2009 at the age of 62. Clayton was a member of the Salvation Army Church in Harry's Harbour. Predeceased by father - William Wells and grandparents - Alex and Bessie Tulk. Left with fond and loving memoires are his wife - Marion Tulk and two daughters - Betty Coombs (Ross) of Beachside and Jean Noble (Barry) of Jacksons Cove. Also leaving to mourn his mother - Vina Freake, grandchildren - Troy Coombs (Janis), Lori Noble (Dwight), Kerry Noble, great granddaughters - Julie, Emily and Kera; sisters - Judy Prowse (Alex) and Juanita Wells; brothers - Sterling Freake (Pansy), Elmo Freake (Marilyn), Merlin Wells (Lisa) and Terry Wells (Mary). Majors Henry and Beatrice Bingle conducted the funeral service at the Salvation Army Citadel on September 30, 2009. Interment was at the Salvation Army Cemetery. Pallbearers were Barry Noble, Ross Coombs, Kerry Noble, Troy Coombs, Alex Prowse and Elmo Freaks. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear, Jim Maidment and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

MULLINS, FREDERICK
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Frederick J. Mullins announce his passing at the Green Bay Health Center in Springdale on September 27, 2009 at the age of 81. Frederick Mullins was a member of St. Stephen's Anglican Church. Frederick retired from fishing. Left with fond and loving memories is his wife, Margaret Mullins and daughters, Peggy Caines (Gord) of Rencontre East, Greta Jensen (Elmer) of Harbour Breton, Judy Day (Kenneth) of Gander, Marion Sheppard (Ken) of Rencontre East and Joy French (Greg) of Springdale. Also leaving to mourn sisters, Sue Boone, Eileen Sheppard; brother, Tom Mullins; grandchildren, Tim Caines, Tom Caines, Clinton Day, Julia Jensen, Melanie Jensen, Kate Jensen, Megan Jensen, Effie Sheppard, Jeff Sheppard, Gina Sheppard and Adam French; great-grandchildren Josh Kearley, Ethan Caines, Avery Caines, Rory Caines and Madison Sheppard. Reverend Peter Wendover conducted the funeral service at St. Stephen's Anglican Church on September 29, 2009. Interment was at the Anglican Cemetery. Pallbearers were Adam French, Thomas Caines, Jeffrey Sheppard, Adrian Sheppard, Cory Caines and Allan Rowsell. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment, Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.
