It is with great sadness that the family of the late Malcolm
Roy Butt announce his passing at the Valley Vista Seniors Home
in Springdale on September 1, 2008 at the age of 77. Malcolm
retired from the City of Toronto. Predeceased by parents, Julius
and Agnes Butt; brothers, Clayton and William and two sisters,
Alice and Alfreda (John) Paddock. Left with fond and loving
memories are his two sisters, Meta (Douglas) Brown and Gwen
(Burns) Strickland; both of Brampton, Ontario. Also leaving
to mourn 17 nieces and nephews. Pastor Lindsey Foster conducted
the funeral service at Central Funeral Homes in Springdale
on September 3, 2008. Interment was at the Pentecostal Cemetery.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Albert
Garland Stone announce his passing at the Central Health Centre in
Grand Falls-Windsor on September 1, 2008 at the age of 81.
Albert was a member of the United Church in Springdale. Albert
retired from Baie Verte Mines in December of 1990. Predeceased
by his mother, Beatrice; his father, Robert; five brothers
and one sister. Left with fond and loving memories are his
wife, Alfreda Stone; three sons, Robert Stone (Joyce) of Beachside,
Jimmie Stone (Maxine) of Baie Verte, Brian Stone (Rhonda) of
Conception Bay South; two daughters, Mae Coombs of Springdale
and Adeline Hinks (Jerome) of Beachside. Also leaving to mourn
13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, one brother, Roland
Stone and special friend, Francis Joy. Rev. Patricia Melindy
with a special prayer by Pastor George Cole conducted the funeral
service at the Grace United Church in Springdale on September
4, 2008. Interment was at the United Cemetery. Pallbearers
were his grandsons, Jason Hinks, Peter Stone, Corey Stone,
Wesley Stone, Curt Coombs, Robbie Stone and Nathan Stone. Funeral

COLBOURNE, MABEL
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mabel
Colbourne announce her passing at the O’Connell Center in Corner Brook
on September 4, 2008 at the age of 96. Mabel retired after
many years in the teaching profession. Predeceased by her parents,
Frank and Julia Brown, her husband, Bram, brothers Wesley and
Allen and sister Pearl Budden. Left with fond and loving memories
are her two daughters: Roma Madge Colbourne of Steady Brook
and Pearl Grant, also of Steady Brook. Also leaving to mourn

Salvation Army King’s Point Corps. Bert J. Rideout retired
