Andrews, Bert Arthur
It is with great sadness that the families of the Arthur (Bert) Andrews announce his passing at the Green Bay Health Center in Springdale on September 5, 2005 at the age of 72 years. Bert was a member of the King of King's Pentecostal Church, King's Point, NL. Bert retired from fishing in 1992. Predeceased by first wife, Phyllis; daughter, Marion; sons, Lawrence, Sterling and Melvin; mother and father, Pearl and Jack Andrews and brother Claude Andrews.  Left with fond and loving memories are wife, Patricia; sons, Arthur Andrews (Cindy) of King's Point, NL; Cecil Andrews (Jessie) of King's Point, NL; daughters, Gloria Andrews (David Bowers) of South Brook, NL; Juanita Andrews (Phillip Doody) of Lloydminster, Alb. Also leaving to mourn 19 grandchildren, two brothers, Henry Andrews and Harvey Andrews; five sisters, Verna Andrews, Shirley Pelley, Rowena Bowers, Ruby Starkes and Maisie Hiscock and large circle of family and friends. Pastors Larry Soper and Howard Head conducted the funeral service from the King of King's Pentecostal Church, King's Point on September 8, 2005. Interment was at the Interfaith Cemetery, King's Point. Pallbearers were: David Bowers, Arnold Gill, Jeffrey Gill, Kevin Gill, Todd Gill and Wayde Gill.

Coombs, Andrew Albert James (Andy)
It is with great sadness that the families of the Andrew A. Coombs announce his passing at his home in Little Bay on September 14, 2005 at the age of 62 years. Mr. Coombs retired from logging and mining in 1993. Predeceased by father, Lewis Bingle and sister, Sarah Bingle. Left with fond and loving memories are wife, Audrey; son, Lewis Coombs (Shelia) of Little Bay, NL; daughters, Sarah Baker (Leonard) of St. Patrick's, NL; Susan Bouzane (Bruce) of Little Bay, NL; Sandra Curran (David) of St. Patrick's, NL; Shelly Newbury (Eugene) of Little Bay, NL. Also leaving to mourn his mother, Lucy Coombs of Little Bay; five brothers; four sisters and ten grandchildren, Julie-Ann Baker, Jessica Baker, Allison Bouzane, Alex Bouzane, Sarah Coombs, Pamela Coombs, Casey Coombs, Noah Curran,  Ryan Newbury, Victoria Newbury and large circle of family and friends. Rev. Betty Robbins conducted the funeral from the Grace United Church on September 16, 2005. Interment was at the United Cemetery, Little Bay. Pallbearers were: Barry Dawe, Mike Armstrong, Ford Young, Reg Coombs, Kevin Bennett and Shelley Newbury.

Whalen, Irene Mae
It is with great sadness that the families of the late Irene Mae Whalen announce her passing at Valley Vista Seniors Complex at Springdale, on September 13, 2005 at the age of 72 years. Irene was a member of the Salvation Army Home League. Predeceased by husband; Fred Whalen, sister Jeanette,brothers, Willie, Jerry-John (Rowena), Joseph, Clarence (June) and Ronald (Leona). Left with fond and loving memories are sons, Micheal (Betty) of Lewisporte, NL; George(Shannon) of Gilliams NL; Scott (Carol) of Scarborough Ont.,Ford of Ontario, Matthew (Candace)of Fort McMurray, daughters, Doreen (Eric) of Little Burnt Bay, NL; Sheila (William) of Deer Lake NL; Also leaving to mourn one sister Joyce(Edmond) fifteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and large circle of family and friends. Majors Frank and Jean Johnson conducted the funeral from the Salvation Army Citadel Pilley's Island on September 17, 2005. Interment was at the Salvation Army Cemetery,at Pilley's Island NL. Pallbearers were: Edmund Strickland, Wilson Roberts, Llewellyn Whalen, George Callahan, Nanette Smith,and Sheila Pearce.

Flossie Marcella Boyles(nee Burton)
It is with great sadness that the families of the late Flossie Marcella Boyles announce her passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Care Center at Grand_Falls-Windsor on September 28, 2005 at the age of 71 years. Flossie was a member of the Apostolic Faith Church, South Brook. Predeceased by husband Fred; two sisters & four brothers. Left with fond and loving memories are a large number of nieces, nephews and friends. Pastor Fred Randell conducted the funeral from the Apostolic Faith Church, South Brook, on October 2, 2005. Interment was at the Apostolic Faith Cemetery South Brook, NL. Pallbearers were: Aubry Burton, Harold Colbourne, Gideon Burton, Selby Boyles, Debbie Burton, Betty-Lou Parsons.
