PADDOCK, LLOYD
Passed away Sept. 1, 2001 after a courageous battle with cancer, Lloyd Paddock at the CNRHC, Grand Falls-Windsor. He was 78 years of age. Mr. Paddock retired as an engineer (due to illness) in 1976. Predeceased by son Glosson John Paddock; parents Thomas and Mary Paddock; brothers Stanley Rowsell, Hayward Rowsell, Ernest Rowsell, Wilson Paddock, Eric Paddock and Malcolm Paddock and sister Priscilla Paddock. Left to mourn are wife Julia Edith Paddock; sons Roland (Patricia), Thunder Bay, ON, Capt. Raymond (Tina) (Salvation Army), Garnish, Lieut. Commander (Navy) Lin, Bordon, ON and James, Robert's Arm; daughters Iris (Noel Delmore), Nashua, NH, USA, Avis (Dwight Moores), Whitby, ON and Lorraine (Jerdon Hewlett), Porcupine, ON. Also leaving to mourn one brother Albert Thomas Paddock, Robert's Arm; 15 grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rev. Marilyn Avery conducted the funeral service at the Salvation Army, Robert's Arm. Pallbearers were Ray Paddock, Lin Paddock, Glossson Paddock, Dwight Moores, Lloyd Ryan, Alwin Rideout and Charlie Morey.

SAUNDERS, VICTORIA
SPRINGDALE

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Victoria Blanche Saunders announce her passing at the CNRHC, Grand Falls-Windsor on Sept. 1, 2001 at the age of 82. Predeceased by husband Willis E. Saunders. Left with fond and loving memories are: sons Clayton (Sandra), St Patrick's, Bronson (Svea), Springdale and Neil (Christine), Springdale; daughters Jean (Aubrey), Springdale, Betty (Nick), Deer Lake and Shirley Ann (Roland), Grand Falls-Windsor. Also leaving to mourn are sisters Lillian, Pearl and Hazel; brothers Edward, Chesley and Leo; 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. The funeral service was held at the Pentecostal Church on September 4, 2001. Interment was at the Pentecostal Cemetery. Pallbearers were Roland Janes, Scott Young, Frank Sacrey, Sam Huxter, Roy Curtis and Len Dicks.

YOUNG, VIDA (MAMIE)
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Vida (Mamie) Young announce her passing at the Valley Vista Seniors Home, Springdale on September 4, 2001 at the age of 86. Predeceased by husband Leonard. Left with fond and loving memories are: sons Alick (Ruth), Blaketown, David (Shirley), Springdale, Lewis (Sadie), Wabush and Robert (Gloria), Pasadena and daughter Kathleen (Douglas), Corner Brook. Also leaving to mourn 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; two brothers; one sister; two brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law. Pastor E. Rideout conducted the funeral service at the Pentecostal Church, Springdale on September 7, 2001. Interment was at the Pentecostal Cemetery. Pallbearers were Kurt Tizzard, Jim Huxter, Harold Huxter, Gordon Noble, Neil Austin and Orman Clarke.

WINSOR, GRETA CHARLOTTE
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Greta Charlotte Winsor (Roberts), age 77, announce her passing at the Valley Vista Senior Citizens Home, Springdale on Tuesday, September 11, 2001. Predeceased by daughter, Margaret; son, William; daughter-in-law, Wendy and baby boy David. Left with fond and loving memories are: husband Frank; sons Stafford (Pauline), Grand Falls-Windsor, Sidney (Margaret), Guelph, ON, Bernard (Virginia), Toronto, ON and Clifford (Eleanor), Labrador City; sisters Marjorie, Jessie, Jean and Ada; brothers Milton, Art and Stan; 18 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Major Barry Gray conducted the funeral service at the Salvation Army Citadel, Triton on Friday, September 14, 2001. Interment was at the Community Cemetery, Triton. Pallbearers were Roy Winsor, Cecil Winsor, Tony Ward, Perry Budgell, Donald Budgell and Warrick Winsor.

YATES, FRANK COOLIDGE
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Frank Coolidge Yates announce his passing at the Glades lodge, Halifax, NS on September 15, 2001 at the age of 76. Predeceased by sister Gwen Woolfrey. Leaving to mourn: brother Calvin Yates, King's Point; sisters Eileen Howey, Brighton, Jeanette Mullins, Mississauga, ON and Jean Rankin, Huntington, Que. and a large number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Minister Russell Lodge conducted the funeral service at the United Church, King's Point on September 22, 2001. Interment was at the United Church Cemetery, King's Point.

EVELEIGH, AUGUSTUS WILLIAM
Passed peacefully away on September 20, 2001 at Valley Vista Senior's Complex, Augustus William Eveleigh, age 81 years 9 months. Left with fond and loving memories are wife Mary and family, as well as a large circle of relatives and friends.

OSMOND, EFFIE AUDREY MARIE
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Effie Audrey Marie Osmond announce her passing at the Green Bay Health Centre, Springdale on September 20, 2001 at the age of 74. Effie was a member of The Word of Life Tabernacle, Robert's Arm. Predeceased by husband Wilfred; sisters, Elsie (William Tizzard) and Mable (Esau Jacobs). Left with fond and loving memories are sons, Wilson (Pauline), South Brook; Donald, Robert's Arm; Pearce (Bride), Pilley's Island; Frank (Barb), Robert's Arm; Garland (Eva), Grand Bank; Jim and Avis, Robert's Arm; Jack and Doris, Grand Bank; Gary and Tonya, Triton; Joe, Robert's Arm; step-son, Harold and June, Pilley's Island; daughters, Betty (Harold Bowers), Grand Falls-Windsor; Daisy (Walter Ford), Barr'd Islands and Donna (Dale Paddock), Kingston, ON. Also leaving to mourn Wavey (Don Huntsinger), Detroit; Bonnie (Roy Dicks), Springdale; Ron and Minnie Saunders, Springdale; Ray Saunders, Catalina. Pastor Noble conducted the funeral service at Robert's Arm on September 23, 2001. Interment was at the Evergreen Cemetery, Head's Hr. Pallbearers were Wilson Osmond, Pearce Osmond, Jack Osmond, Joe Osmond, Gary Osmond, Gavin Osmond.

HALE, AMANDA PATRICIA
Amanda Patricia Hale
, age 20, of R.R. 5, Walaceburg passed away on Friday, September 21, 2001 at the University Hospital, Ann Arbor, Michigan as the result of a car accident. She was born in Baie Verte, NF. She was a sophomore at the Spring Arbor University, majoring in music/education. She loved music and enjoyed playing the trumpet and piano. Amanda placed her faith in the Lord and was a great encourager the other people. Surviving are: her loving parents, Irving and Glenda (England) Hale; grandparents - John and Melita Hale of Newfoundland, Marjorie and Ralph Coombs of Newfoundland; Aunts and Uncles - Glolda and Wayne Kirby of Newfoundland, Kerry and Vi Hale of Bowmanville and Betty Hart of Newfoundland. She is predeceased by her grandfather Jackson England.

BUTT, MELINDA CARRIE
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Melinda Carrie Butt announce her passing at the Valley Vista Seniors Home, Springdale on September 25, 2001 at the age of 83. Predeceased by husband Baxter and son-in-law Bruce Weir. Left with fond and loving memories are: sons Ross (Madeline), Wilfred and Everett (Brenda), all of Springdale; and daughter-in-law Jean Weir, Springdale. Also leaving to mourn: seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Pastor E. Rideout assisted by Majors Gary and Glenys Butt conducted the funeral service at the Pentecostal Church on September 27, 2001. Interment was at the Pentecostal Cemetery. Pallbearers were Leonard Pollett, Fred Blanchard, John Saunders, Don Butt, Gordon Butt and Ralph Mercer.

PARSONS, LILLIAN DORIS
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lillian Doris Parsons, age 81 announce her passing at her cottage in Springdale on Thursday, September 27, 2001. Predeceased by her husband, Douglas R. Parsons (Sept. 26, 1995). Left with fond and loving memories are: sons, Ronald, Lushes Bight, Bruce (Audrey), Wabush, John (Nellie), Labrador City, Derrick (Golda), Deer Lake, Stanley (Nina), Montreal and Craig (Carol), Renfrews, ON; daughters, Verna Pike (Melvin), Springdale, Carol Gillis (Fred), Labrador City, Barbara Alcott (Dawson), Labrador City and Phyllis Riche (Derek), Botwood. Also leaving to mourn: 23 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sister, Gladys Osmond, Springdale; sister-in-law, Stella Parsons, Grand Falls-Windsor; brother-in-law, Rev Earnest Parsons (Dorothy), Glovertown; sister-in-law, Marion Manuel, New York and Jean Brace (Gordon), Debert, NS. Pastor E. R. Rideout conducted the funeral service at the Springdale pentecostal Church on Sunday, September 30, 2001. Interment followed at the living Waters Cemetery, Springdale. Pallbearers were sons Ronald, Bruce, john, Derrick, Stanley and son-in-law Derek Riche.
