STUCKLESS, WILLIAM
Seal Cove, NL

It is with great sadness that the family of the late William Stuckless, age 93, announce his passing at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte on Wednesday, October 14, 2009. Predeceased by his wife - Mildred Stuckless; parents - Thomas & Louise Stuckless; great-grandson; siblings - Elizabeth Ricketts, Annie Stuckless, Allan Stuckless, John Stuckless, Naomi Jardine; parents-in-law - Sterling & Dinah Rice; siblings-in-law - Augustus Ricketts, Dorcus Ricketts, Hector Jardine, Stephen Rogers, Cyril Gale, Rosie Stuckless, Paul Rice, Eric Norman & Edgar Dyer. Left with fond and loving memories are his children - Gary Stuckless (Leona), Seal Cove, NL, Ellis Stuckless (Mary-Lou), and Louise Furey (Mike), both of Baie Verte, NL; grandchildren - Nicole, Colin, Shanna, Billy, Sarah, Rebecca, Joanna, Katie; great-grandchildren - Mackenzie, Madison, Samantha, Lily; siblings - George Stuckless (Ula), Luke Stuckless (Audrey), Phoebe Rogers, Florence Crocker (Herbert), Gladys Osmond (Arthur), Wilfred Stuckless & Anita Fagan; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rev. Jason Haggstrom conducted the funeral service at St. Swithin's Anglican Church and Cemetery, Seal Cove, NL on Saturday, October 17, 2009. Pallbearers were Gary Stuckless, Ellis Stuckless, Colin Stuckless, Billy Furey, Larry Norman & Bob Gillingham. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Wimbleton's Funeral Home, Baie Verte.

BLANCHARD, LLOYD
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lloyd Blanchard announce his passing at the Health Sciences Center in St. John's on October 15, 2009 at the age of 57. Lloyd was a member of the NLTA and retired from Valmont Academy in King's Point after 30 years of teaching. Lloyd was productive in the community, serving on the Fire Brigade in the past and most recently deputy mayor. Predeceased by father, Garland; brothers, Irvin (Joseph) and Garland (Junior). Left with fond and loving memories is his wife, Wanda; son, Perry (Roxanne) and daughter Petrina. Also leaving to mourn mother, Ada; grandchildren, Kate and Brook; brothers, Alvin (Cathy) and Baxter (Mary); three sisters, Patricia (Hubert), Doreen (Jerome) and Darlene (Dave), as well as other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Majors Henry and Beatrice Bingle conducted the funeral service at Central Funeral Homes in Springdale on October 19, 2009. Interment will be in the spring of 2010 at the Interfaith Cemetery in King's Point. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

SAMWAYS, JAMES
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alvin James Samways announce his passing at the Green Bay Health Care Centre in Springdale on October 17, 2009 at the age of 77. Jim Samways was a member of the Rod and Gun Club, Copper Belt Pioneers and the Springdale Community Development Cooperative. James retired from Newfoundland Telephone. Predeceased by parents, James and Myrtle Samways and sister, Ruth Samways. Left with fond and loving memories is his wife, June and daughters, Kim (Wallace Heath) of Springdale, Karen (Parker Israel) of Edmonton and Judy (Harris Powell) of Grand Falls-Windsor. Also leaving to mourn grandchildren, Marc and Ryan Heath, Samantha Israel and Jamie Powell. Reverend Mildred Tobin conducted the funeral service at St. Luke's Anglican Church in Springdale on October 21, 2009. Interment was at the Anglican Cemetery. Pallbearers were Aubrey Cull, Don Baker, Nigel Roberts, Eddie MacDonald, Harold Saunders and Frank Cashin. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

WALSH, JOHN PATRICK "JACK"
Fleur de Lys, NL

It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Patrick "Jack" Walsh, age 79, announce his passing at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte, NL on Sunday, October 18, 2009. Predeceased by his wife - Bridget Walsh; infant children - Patrick & Georgie; son-in-law - Ronald Lewis; granddaughter - Johni-Leigh Walsh; parents - Patrick & Maggie Walsh; infant siblings - Martina & Lawrence; siblings - Veronica Newman (Jack), Margaret Purcell (Howard), Florence Hoffman (Jack), Genevieve Power (Cyril), Betty Kleizein (William), Mary Kelly (Jack), Kathleen Tobin (Richard); brother-in-law - Lawrence Lewis. Left with fond and loving memories are his children - Jacqueline Diesel (Glen), Lac la Biche, AB; Patrick Walsh (Joanie), Bob Walsh (Jeanie Penton), Nick Walsh (Joy), Marg Lush (Greg), and Anita Walsh (Tom Alward), all of Fleur de Lys, NL, John Walsh (Lorraine), Evelyn Walsh (Allen Basque), and Roland Walsh (Anita), all of Hamilton, ON, and Colin Walsh., Fleur de Lys, NL; 15 grandchildren & 8 great-grandchildren; sister - Geraldine Lewis, Fleur de Lys, NL; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Father Joseph Tebsis conducted the funeral service at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church and Cemetery, Fleur de Lys, NL on Wednesday, October 21, 2009. Pallbearers were Patrick Walsh, Bob Walsh, Nick Walsh, John Walsh, Roland Walsh, Glen Diesel, Greg Lush, and Cletus Lewis, and the crossbearer was John Lewis. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Wimbleton's Funeral Home, Baie Verte.

RICHARDS, GARLAND
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Garland Richards announce his passing at his home in Rattling Brook on October 20, 2009 at the age of 74. Garland was a member of the Salvation Army Men's Fellowship. Garland retired from the logging industry with Corner Brook Pulp and Paper. Predeceased by parents, Archable and Eva Richards and son Winston Richards. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Audine Richards; son, Lavern (Wannie) of Rattling Brook and daughter, Dana Wells (Dean) of Rattling Brook. Also leaving to mourn grandchildren, Chantelle, Christopher (Kyla), Dylan, Nikki, Laura; great grandchild, Macey; brother, Roy (Glenna), sisters, Ruby (Victor), Aubrey and Nellie and a large circle of friends and relatives. Majors Henry and Beatrice Bingle conducted the funeral service at the Salvation Army Citadel in King's Point on October 23, 2009. Interment was at the United Cemetery in Rattling Brook. Pallbearers were Dean Wells, Christopher Wells, Dylan Wells, Victor Burt, Bryce Dawe and Roy Richards. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment, Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

HOLLETT-SIMMS, LILLIAN D.
Springdale, NL

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lillian Drucella Hollett-Simms, age 81, announce her passing at the Green Bay Health Centre in Springdale, NL on Thursday, October 22, 2009. Predeceased by her first husband - Warrick Hollett; second husband - Harrison Simms; son - Eugene Hollett; parents - Daniel & Ethel Janes; siblings - Raymond Janes, Cecil Janes, Hubert Janes, Walter Janes, Winnie Morgan and Susan Oldford. Left with fond and loving memories are her children - Carl Hollett (Lena), Ernest Hollett (Justina), and Edna Anstey (Everett), all of King's Point, NL, Genieva Chatman (Edgar), Springdale, NL, Reuben Hollett (Jacqueline), King's Point, NL, Betty Foster, Scarborough, ON, and Melvin Hollett (Rennie), King's Point, NL; 20 grandchildren & 26 great grandchildren; sister - Annie Chipp; step-children - Nina Mitchell (Clarence), Ernest Simms (Lola), and Neta Ryan (George); and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Majors Henry & Beatrice Bingle conducted the funeral service at The Salvation army Citadel, King's Point, NL on Sunday, October 25, 2009. Interment followed from King's Point Interfaith Cemetery, King's Point. The pallbearers were her children - Carl Hollett, Ernest Hollett, Edna Anstey, Genieva Chatman, Reuben Hollett, Betty Foster, & Melvin Hollett. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Wimbleton's Funeral Home, Baie Verte.

SACREY PASTOR RALPH
August 2, 1924 - October 22, 2009

It is with sadness but also a great sense of hope that the family of the late Pastor Ralph Sacrey announces his passing on October 22, 2009, at the age of 85. He and his wife Edna moved to Robert's Arm in 1982 after spending 21 years in full time ministry with the PAON. He was a faithful member of Word of Life Tabernacle, Robert's Arm. He was predeceased by parents, Robert and Maude Sacrey, three sisters, one brother, and four infant sons. Left to mourn and awaiting the resurrection are: wife Edna, daughters Iris (Wilson Butt) Robert's Arm, Loris (Leander Hewlett) Robert's Arm, Grandchildren: Paul, Lynnette, Lindy; Great-grandchildren: Samantha, Dylan, Austin, Adam, Alexis, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Pastor Robert Paddock conducted the funeral service on Sunday, October 25, 2009 from The Word of Life Tabernacle and Pastor Roy D. King brought condolences on behalf of the PAONL. Interment followed at the Pentecostal Cemetery. Pallbearers were Wilson Butt, Leander Hewlett, Lindy Hewlett, Lynnette Doody, Jeff Doody, Austin Doody and honorary pallbearer was Adam Doody. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Gail Noel and Leander Hewlett of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.

FIFIELD, SIDNEY BAXTER
1926-2009

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sidney Baxter Fifield announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Center in Grand Falls-Windsor on October 25, 2009 at the age of 83. Sidney was a member of the Windsor Pentecostal Church in Grand Falls-Windsor. He is retired from Lynn Lake, Manitoba in 1991. Sidney is predeceased by his first wife Ethel Burton, parents Rose and Frank, brothers John and Chesley and his 2 children. Left with fond and loving memories are his second wife of 15 years, Dorothy; son Wayne of Cluney, Alberta; step-sons Wallace (Fern) Goulding of Pt. Leamington, Sherman (Judy) Goulding of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, Dexter (Wendy) Goulding of Victoria, B.C., Oral (Judy) Goulding of Labrador City, NL, David (Cindy) Goulding of Acton, ON, Bruce (Ann) Goulding of Acton, ON; daughter Marilyn (Henry) Sheen of Winnipeg, MB, step daughter Daphne (Pastor Edward Canning) of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, Phyllis Pilgrim (Ted) of Goose Bay, Labrador, Glenda Goulding (Marko) of Victoria, BC. Also leaving to mourn grandson Kenneth (Mary), sister Myrtle Byrne, brothers Wilfred and Gordon, along with a large circle of friends and family. Pastor William Cole conducted the funeral service at the South Brook Pentecostal Church on October 30, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. Interment was at the South Brook Pentecostal Cemetery.

YOUNG, PIERCE
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Pierce Young announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Hospital in Grand Falls-Windsor on October 26, 2009 at the age of 86. Pierce was a member of the Springdale Pentecostal Church. Predeceased by brothers, Baxter and Graham. Left with fond and loving memories is his wife, Marie. Also leaving to mourn brothers: Sandy (Doreen), Cecil (Juanita), Cameron (Golda); sisters, Doris (Les) Bowers, Hope (Leslie) Cole, Marie Bennett, Queen Bennett and Phyllis (Glen) Carlson. Pastor Lindsey Foster conducted the funeral service at the Springdale Pentecostal Church. Interment was at the Pentecostal Cemetery. Pallbearers were Trevor Young, Peter Young, Vincent Bennett, Sterling Young, Orman Clarke, Con Oxford, Garry Saunders and Dwayne Bennett. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

SAVOURY, LORI DEANNA
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lori Deanna Savoury, age 36, announce her sudden passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Saturday, October 31, 2009. Predeceased by her brother - Lorne Budgell; maternal grandfather - Selby Saunders; uncle - Cecil Ryan; grandparents-in-law - Onslow & Alameta Savoury. Left with fond, everlasting & loving memories are her husband - Gary; sons - Gary Jr. & Jasper, all of Middle Arm, NL; parents - Lester & Patsy Budgell, Middle Arm, NL; siblings - Leona Leights (Hubert), Middle Arm, NL, and Loomas Budgell (Kara Haywood), Moncton, NB; parents-in-law - Uriah & Violet Savoury, Belleoram, NL; siblings-in-law - Tina Dominix (Dermot), Belleoram, NL, Angela Lush (Jerry), Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, Allison Savoury, Cap-pele, NB, Brad Savoury (Shannon), Paradise, NL, Perry Savoury (Karla Shiner), Middle Arm, NL, Jenny Savoury (Kyle Leights), Paradise, NL, and Tyler Savoury, Belleoram, NL; nieces & nephews - Megan & Jasmine Leights; Dylan & Haley Budgell; Brandon, Drucella, Dusty, Tucker & Isabella Dominix; Cameron Savoury; Zoey Leights; maternal grandmother - Maude Saunders; paternal grandparents - Philip & Olive Budgell; many aunts & uncles, cousins, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Pastors Bryce & Elma Austin conducted the funeral service at Bayview Pentecostal Church, Middle Arm, NL on Thursday, November 5, 2009. Interment followed from Oceanview Interfaith Cemetery, Middle Arm. Pallbearers were, Gary Savoury Jr., Leona Leights, Annette Martin, Charlene Martin, Peggy Tilley, Joanne Martin, Taffie Robinson and Violet Chipp.
