DAPHNE EDNA JACOBS
1933 - 2016

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Daphne Edna Jacobs announce her passing at the Valley Vista Seniors Home in Springdale on May 11, 2016 at the age of 83. Daphne was a member of the Salvation Army Church; she was a Senior Soldier; a member of the Home League, Community Care Ministries and the Joy Fellowship Group. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 63 years, Hughie; her parents Emma and Leonard Pittman; her sisters-Vira Pittman, Jacqueline Weir, Ruby McGinn; her brother Harry Pittman and her son-in-law Darrell Newbury. Left with fond and loving memories is her sons-Jim (Valerie) of Springdale, Bob of Medicine Hat, AB, Ralph (Marilyn) of Minesville, NS, Byron (Joanne) of Laurencetown, NS, Roger (Annette) of Springdale, Nolan (Greta) of Springdale; daughters-Bernice (Lloyd) of Sudbury, ON, Verley (Gerald) of Gander, Vira (Gary) of Springdale, Jane (Rick) of Corner Brook, June of Hamilton, ON and Michelle (Jim) of Ottawa, ON. Also leaving to mourn are her sisters-Ina, Bonne, Pauline, Margaret, Norma; brother, Dave; 24 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends. Majors Colin & Jacqueline Abbott will conduct the funeral service from the Salvation Army Citadel in Springdale on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at 2:00 pm. Interment will be at the Salvation Army Cemetery in Springdale. Pallbearers are her sons-Jim, Bob, Ralph, Byron, Roger and Nolan. IVY LOUISE MAE COLBOURNE
1941 - 2016

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ivy Louise Colbourne announce her passing at the Valley Vista Seniors Home in Springdale on May 13, 2016 at the age of 74. Ivy was a member of the Salvation Army. She was predeceased by her husband James Colbourne. Left with fond and loving memories is her son Perry (TerriLynn) of Fort McMurray, AB and daughter Joanne (Boyce) of Fort McMurray, AB. Also leaving to mourn are her sisters Clara Murphy and Alma Anstey; Grandchildren-Stephanie, Samantha, Nicole, Nicholas; Step grandchildren-Sammy and Samantha; great grandchildren-Mason, Grace and Jaeyda. Majors Colin & Jacqueline Abbott will conduct the funeral service from the Salvation Army Citadel in Springdale on Monday, May 16 at 2:00 pm. ERNEST AUBREY PADDOCK
1943 - 2016

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ernest Aubrey Paddock announce his passing at the Valley Vista Seniors Home in Springdale on May 13, 2016 at the age of 72. Ernest retired from District 5 School Board as Janitor in 2011. He was a member of the Grace United Church, AOTS, Springdale Lions Club and the Masonic Lodge. Ernest was predeceased by his father Joseph Paddock; his brother Donald and his sister-in-law Elaine (Gray) Paddock. Left with fond and loving memories is his mother, Dorcas; brothers-Ronald (Jean), Maxwell (Ruby), Howard (Wanda), Eric (Susan) and Ross (Kathryn); sisters-Melvina, Shirley (Peter Butt), Beatrice (Terry Roberts), Viona (Victor Foster), Pauline, Stella (Walter Strong); 14 nieces and 15 nephews. Rev. Wilson Gonese will conduct the funeral service from the Grace United Church in Springdale on Tuesday, May 17 at 1:00 pm. Interment will be at the United Cemetery in Springdale. Predeceased by his mother - Dorothy Burton; father - Mark Burton; stepmother - Lily Burton; brother - Mack Burton; infant sister - Judy Burton; parents-in-law - Albert and Hazel Brown.
