WELLS, RAYMOND HOWARD
1931-2011
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mr. Raymond H. Wells announces his passing at the Green Bay Health Care Centre in Springdale on May 2, 2011 at the age of 79. Raymond was a member of the Salvation Army. Ray retired from Bowaters. Predeceased by mother and father, Elizabeth & William Wells; brothers, Alexander, Edmund and Layton and sisters: Mary and Doris, granddaughter Michelle Lynn Wells and son-in-law Winston Richards. Left with fond and loving memories is his wife, Loretta; sons: Brian (Darlene) and Corey; daughters: Millie (Doug), Helen (Lawrence), Judy (Jeff) and Dale (Lorne). Also leaving to mourn nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, sister Elva Anstey (Chesley), brother Freeman (Margaret); brothers-in-law Willmore Pollett (June), Leonard Pollett (Donna); sisters-in-law, Patsy Croucher, Lucy Oxford (Wilson) and Marilyn Pollard as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Majors Gerald and Doreen Lacey conducted the funeral service from the Salvation Army Citadel in Springdale on May 6, 2011. Interment was at the Salvation Army Cemetery. Pallbearers were members of the Salvation Army Men's Fellowship: Bruce Oxford, Clyde Follett, Jim Dalley, Ron Ryan, Alfred Burton and Gerald Dalley. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

CROUCHER, EFFIE
1934-2011
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Effie Croucher announces her passing at St. Claire's Hospital in St. John's on May 4, 2011 at the age of 77. Predeceased by husband, Howard Croucher, three brothers and her parents. Left with fond and loving memories are her sons: Oswell Croucher (Karen Croucher) of Beaumont, Roy Croucher (Debbie) of Edmonton, AB, Dennis Croucher of Beaumont, Stonewall Croucher of Beaumont, Jeff Croucher (Rhonda Goodyear) of Gander; daughters: Marilyn Coish (Roland Coish) of Roberts Arm and Anita Roberts (Levi Roberts) of Elliott Lake, Ont. Also leaving to mourn two sisters, five grandsons and many friends. Rev. Joan Brinston conducted the funeral service from the United Church in Beaumont on May 7, 2011. Interment was at the United Church Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

BURTON, TED BAXTER
La Scie, NL

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ted Baxter Burton, age 64, announce his sudden passing at his home in La Scie on Friday, May 19, 2011. Predeceased by his parents - Harvey & Myrtis Burton; parents-in-law - George & Sophie Bowers; brother-in-law - Edward Bowers; niece - Dawn Bowers. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife - Velma, La Scie, NL; daughter - Sheila Burton (Archie Critch), La Scie, NL; grandchildren - Ashley Ryles (Matthew), Corner Brook, NL; T.J. Burton and B.J. Burton, both of La Scie, NL; siblings - Audrey Foster (Harold), La Scie, NL; Don Burton (Lorraine), Corner Brook, NL; sisters-in-law - Margaret Colliss (Ernie), Beaumonville, ON; Marion Bowers, King's Point, NL; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rev. Bruce Rideout conducted the funeral service at Zion United Church and Cemetery, La Scie, NL, on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at 2 pm. Pallbearers were Charlie Matthews, Murray Burton, Ralph Gray, Clyde Bath, Frank Squires and Kerwin Burton. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Wimbleton's Funeral Home, Baie Verte.

HILLIER, ROGER
April 30, 1948-May 19, 2011
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Roger Hillier announces his passing at Southlake Hospital in New Market, Ontario on May 19, 2011 at the age of 63. Predeceased by father, Sandy & sister, Rosalind. Left with fond and loving memories are wife, Shirley; daughter, Renee (Mike) & son Curtis (Rosalind) both of New Market, Ontario and three grandsons: Zander, Mason & Cole. Also leaving to mourn: mother, Jennie; brothers: David (Ann), Colin, Gordie (Diane), Terry (Lillian), Robert (Lorraine), Gary and Charles; sisters: Judy (Don), Donna (Donald), Christine (Keith), Susan (Mark) and many relatives & Friends. Rev. Vickie Cousins conducted the funeral service from the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home in Newmarket, Ontario on May 21, 2011.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Henry Butt announces his passing at the Green Bay Health Care Center in Springdale on May 24, 2011 at the age of 84. Henry was a member of the United Church AOTS Men's Club, Springdale and a past member of the Springdale Community Development Co-op. Henry retired from British NL Exploration, Springdale. Predeceased by his wife Mary Ann (Annie) Butt; parents William and Annie Butt; brothers Walter Butt and Cyril Butt; sisters Mary Rideout and Evelyn Hayden and brothers-in-law Clayton Tulk, Fred Rideout and George Hayden. Left with fond and loving memories is Gwen Randell (Wayne) and daughter Jillian of Oakville; and Iris Pynn (Baxter) and daughter Paula (Jamie) of Springdale. Also leaving to mourn: brother Eldred (Louise) Butt of St. John's; sister Madeline Tulk of New Hampshire, USA; second great grandpop to Gabrielle and Kaden Tizzard of Springdale and nieces and nephews of brother Eldred (Louise) Butt, sisters Mary Rideout, Evelyn Hayden and Madeline Tulk. Reverend Catherine Gutjahr conducted the funeral service from Central Funeral Homes in Springdale on May 27, 2011. Interment was at the United Cemetery in Springdale. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

WILLIAMS, WILMORE
1924-2011
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mr. Wilmore Robert Williams announces his passing at the Green Bay Health Care Center in Springdale on May 26, 2011 at the age of 86, Wilmore (Bob) was a member of the Pentecostal Church, Triton. Wilmore retired from woods (Bowaters). Predeceased by wife, Ida. Left with fond and loving memories is his son Paul (June) of Triton and daughters: Jean (Dexter) of Botwood, Brenda and Pamela (Mike) of Hinton, AB. Also leaving to mourn grandchildren: Tim Williams, Connie Vincent, Carol Vincent, Cathy Vincent, Patti and Jill Roberts, Stephen Bridger and special friend Ivy Rice. Pastor Jeffrey Elliott and Major Larry Fudge conducted the funeral service from the Pentecostal Church in Triton on May 30, 2011. Interment was at the Triton Community Cemetery. Pallbearers were Roy Williams, Max Williams, Jim Williams, Dave Williams, Wilmore Newman and Dexter Vincent. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

WEIR, MAMIE
1927-2011
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mamie Weir announces her passing at the Green Bay Health Care Center in Springdale on May 26, 2011 at the age of 83. Mamie was a member of the United Church. Mamie retired from S.T. Jones and Sons, Little Bay Islands. Predeceased by her husband Eric on May 23, 1983. Left with fond and loving memories is her children: David (Rowena) of Springdale, Colin (Rosalind) of Springdale, Diane Oxford (Edward) of Thompson, MB, Jim (Cynthia) of Iqaluit, NU and Suzanne Tucker (Melvin) of St. Patrick's. Also leaving to mourn brother George Weir, seven grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Reverend Catherine Gutjahr conducted the funeral service from the Grace United Church in Springdale on May 29, 2011. Interment was at the United Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ed Oxford, Joey Roberts, Melvin Tucker, Michael Tucker, Deon and Dion Weir. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

PETERS, EDNA
1917-2011
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edna Peters announces her passing at the Valley Vista Seniors Home in Springdale on May 29, 2011 at the age of 93. Edna was a member of the Springdale Pentecostal Church. Predeceased by husband Cecil; brother Attwell (Sexton); sisters, Viola and Greta; and granddaughter Jennifer Goulding (Young). Left with fond and loving memories are her sons: Ross (Elizabeth) of St. John's, Robert (Media) of St. John's, Ronald (Dorothy) of Springdale; daughters: Juanita (Cecil Young) of Springdale, Ruby (Roy James) of Kelowna, BC, Golda (Cameron Young) of Springdale, Beulah (Ivan Clarke) of Burlington and Sharon (Morley Whitt) of St. John's. Also leaving to mourn 18 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren as well as other relatives and friends of the family. Pastor Lindsey Foster conducted the funeral service from the Pentecostal Church in Springdale on June 1, 2011. Interment was at the Grant Avenue Pentecostal Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dennis Peters, Geoff Peters, Deana Young, Peter Young, Patti Wiebe and Andrew Whitt. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.
