It is with great sadness that the family of the late Samuel R.J. Hewitt, age 79, announce his sudden passing while visiting his granddaughter and family at New Harbour, NL on Friday, May 1, 2009. Predeceased by his parents - William & Ida Hewitt; siblings - George Hewitt, Dulcie Hewitt, Betty Jacobs, Maxwell Hewitt, Pearl Jacobs, Lovetta Warren, Phoebe Decker, Eliza Gavin, Francis Hewitt, Alex Hewitt, William Hewitt; parents-in-law - Alfred & Selena Ricketts; siblings-in-law - Alex Ricketts, Leslie Ricketts, Annie Hewitt. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife - Dulcie, Westport, NL; children - Raymond Hewitt (Marie), Grand Cache, AB, Glenda Fitzgerald (Mark), Baie Verte, NL; grandchildren - June Fitzgerald (Andy Williams), Selena Hewitt (Jody Slavak), David Fitzgerald (Amanda Patten), Victoria Hewitt (Mike Generaux), Nancy Fitzgerald (Sandy Forrest), Erica Hewitt (Shawn Defosse); great-grandchildren - Michael, Skylar, Kyra, Brandon, Chase, Andrew, Brady; siblings - Stella Evans, Corner Brook, NL, Evelyn Rice (Hubert), Seal Cove, NL, Stanley Hewitt, Westport, NL, Patricia Toope (Roy), Bridgewater, NS; sisters-in-law Millie Hewitt, Westport, NL, Emily Hewitt, Westport, NL; a number of nieces and nephews, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rev. Jason Haggstrom conducted the funeral service at St. Peter's Anglican Church and Cemetery, Westport, NL on Tuesday, May 5, 2009. Pallbearers were Mark Osmond, James Hewitt, Phillip Ricketts, Robert Ricketts, Cluney Ricketts, and Clayton Gavin. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Wimbleton's Funeral Home, Baie Verte.

BATH, HILDA
La Scie, NL

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hilda Bath, age 89, announce her passing at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte, NL on Sunday, May 3, 2009. Predeceased by her first husband - Edgar Chipp; second husband - Donald Bath; parents - Henry & Winnie May; siblings - Kenneth May, Annie Prole, William May, Dora Lily, Aubrey May, Stanley May, and Harvey May. Left with fond and loving memories are her son - Ivan Bath, La Scie, NL; grandchildren - Travis Bath (Mindy), Grande Prairie, AB, and Nadine Bath (Michael Heath), Springdale, NL; great-grandchildren - Alex and Amelia; siblings - Lucy Tucker, Springdale, NL, Harold May (Golda), King's Point, NL; sister-in-law - Evelyn May, Springdale, NL; special nephew - Don May; many nieces and nephews, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Majors Arley and Darlene Masters conducted the funeral service at The Salvation Army Citadel and Cemetery, La Scie, NL on Wednesday, May 6, 2009. Pallbearers were Nadine Bath, Dennis Ward, Louis Fudge, Rick Ward, Sandy Critch, and Eric Andrews. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Wimbleton's Funeral Home, Baie Verte.

JONES, KATIE REGINA
Baie Verte, NL

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Katie Regina Jones, age 43, announce her sudden passing at her residence in Baie Verte, NL on Monday, May 4, 2009. Predeceased by her father - Abraham Zarpa; siblings - Abraham Zarpa, Jr., Dora Zarpa, Hulda Zarpa, and Ephriam Zarpa; nephew - August Zarpa; father-in-law- Ambrose Jones. Left with fond and loving memories are her husband - Kevin, Baie Verte, NL; children - Elizabeth, Susan, Amber, and Martin; mother - Lizzie Zarpa; siblings - Samuel Zarpa & Edward Zarpa; mother-in-law - Annie Jones; siblings-in-law - Madonna Clarke (Frank), Larry Jones, Gladys Doyle (Linus), and Beverly Haas (Eugene); many nieces and nephews, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Father Joseph Tebsis conducted the funeral service at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church and Cemetery, Baie Verte, NL on Saturday, May 9, 2009. Pallbearers were Frank Clarke, Cory Haas, Geraldine Drover, Ellie Gavin, Stan Lush & Ken Lewis. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Wimbleton's Funeral Home, Baie Verte.

KING, LEVENIA WINNIFRED
June 26, 1924 - May 4, 2009

Passed peacefully away at the Valley Vista Senior's Complex on May 4, 2009 Levenia Winnifred King of Harry's Harbour, NL. She was predeceased by her parents - Alfred and Naomi King, brothers - George, Francis and John, sister - Julia Norman, sister-in-law Hettie King and brother-in-law Maxwell Norman. One of Winnie's greatest joys was visiting her many friends in Harry's Harbour and she just loved to drop in almost daily. She also enjoyed working with her hands and spent many hours sewing, knitting, crocheting and quilting. She leaves to mourn, nephews and nieces; Judy (Sid) Thomas, Burlington, NL, Joan (John) Stead, Brantford, ON, Daphne (Harry) Bowers, Pacquet, NL, Chesley (Jane) Norman, Brantford, ON, Elvis (Norma) Norman, Pacquet, NL, Yvonne Norman, Pacquet, NL, and niece-in-law, Susan Norman, Pacquet, NL, as well as a circle of other family and friends including Fronie, Francis, Leroy and Sabrina Gillard whom Winnie considered her family. Captain Henry Bingle conducted the funeral service at Green Bay Funeral Home on May 6, 2009 with interment following at the Harry's Harbour Community cemetery. Pallbearers were friends, Wayne England, Michael England, Elmo Freake, Paul King, Lloyd Stuckless and Vincent Verge. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Gail Noel and Leander Hewlett of Green Bay Funeral Home.

NELSON (ROWSELL), DEBORAH DOREEN
September 10, 1958 - May 6, 2009

On May 6, 2009, God decided to take our beautiful mother, grandmother, best friend and loving sister to be with him and the angels in heaven. Surrounded by her loving family and friends at the Miller Centre, Mom passed peacefully away. Left to mourn are her three children, Sherry, Holly and Matthew (Tara-Lee); two darling little dolls, Brooklyn and Madison; sisters, Janet, Wands and Jackie; brothers, Otto, Lloyd, Dave and Shawn and many supportive and devoted friends. As well, we would also like to take this opportunity to express our deepest gratitude to all the healthcare professionals and volunteers who provided exceptional care throughout our journey. Mom has touched so many lives in so many ways, and although she is no longer with us, we are comforted knowing that one day we will all be together again.

BAKER, WADE
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Nelson Wade Baker announce his passing at his Indian Pond residence in Springdale on May 11, 2009 at the age of 74. Ward Baker retired from Harold England Limited. Predeceased by his first wife, Irene; second wife, Bernetta; brother, George; father, Hardy and mother, Clara. Left with fond and loving memories are his sons, Don (Daisy) of Springdale, Eldon (Kennessee) of Round Lake, Ontario, Brian (Andrea) of Liverpool, Nova Scotia, stepson, Keith (Inez) of Springdale, stepson, Lyndon (Barbara) of Cambridge; daughters: Hilda (Wayne) of King's Point and stepdaughter, Cavell (George) of Cambridge, Ontario. Also leaving to mourn: brothers, Edward, Stafford and James; grandchildren, Danny, Dustin, Candice, Kailee, Adam, Ashley, Mark, Brandon, Nicole and great grandchildren, Daniella, Scott and Douglas. Majors Gerald and Doreen Lacey conducted the funeral service at the Salvation Army Citadel in Springdale on May 15, 2009. Interment was at the Salvation Army Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ron Saunders, Corey Prouse, Peter Pelley, Scott Anstey, Bob Baker and Lyndon Tizzard. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

WINSOR, JONAH NATHAN
April 3, 1992 - May 20, 2009

Passed away tragically as the result of a motorcycle accident on May 20, 2009 Jonah Nathan Winsor, age 17, of Triton, NL. He was predeceased by grandparents, Gordon and Avas Winsor and Abraham Boone. Left to mourn are parents, Wade and Nancy Winsor, grandmother, Eva Boone, sisters, Sherry Boone (Scott), Corner Brook, Donna Roberts (Rocky), Triton, Vanda Roberts (Robbie), Grand Falls-Windsor, brother, Wade (Jessica), Triton, also nieces and nephews, Craig, Emily, Kyle, Katie, Whitney, LaToya, and Kaylie as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. Pastor Jeffery Elliott conducted the funeral service on Sunday, May 24, 2009 from Maranatha Pentecostal Tabernacle. The Dorset Huskies/GBS Wildcats formed an Honour Guard in tribute to a well loved team-mate. Interment followed at the Triton Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers were nieces, Katie Roberts, Emily Breen, nephews, Kyle Roberts, Craig Breen, friends, Dylan LeDrew and Zachary Taylor. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Green Bay Funeral Home Springdale.

STUCKLESS, ROSEMARY "ROSIE"
Westport, NL

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rosemary "Rosie" Stuckless, age 69, announce her passing at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte, NL on Friday, May 22, 2009. Predeceased by her daughter - Minnie Stuckless; parents - William & Minnie Gale; siblings - James Gale, Cyril Gale, Gilbert Gale, and Harold Gale. Left with fond and loving memories are her husband - Wilfred, Westport NL; son - Tony Stuckless (Lynn), Halifax, NS; grandson - William Thomas Stuckless; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rev. Jason Haggstrom conducted the funeral service at St. Peter's Anglican Church and Cemetery, Westport, NL on Tuesday, May 26, 2009. SACREY, ANDREW
August 15, 1919 - May 25, 2009

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Andrew Sacrey, age 89, announce his passing at the Valley Vista Senior Citizens Complex, Springdale, on Monday, May 25, 2009. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Fannie Sacrey; daughter, Minnie Norman; son, Lloyd Sacrey; parents, Andrew Robert and Maude Sacrey; sisters, Minnie Sacrey, Leah Earle, and Emily Head; parents-in-law, Daisy & Dawe Bath; siblings-in-law, Ross Norman, Verna Hamlyn, Stanley Earle, Charles Hillier, George Head, and Jimmy Bath. Left with fond and loving memories are his children, Levitta Loveman (Carl), Springdale, Whyman Sacrey (Katie), Pacquet, Wayne Sacrey (Betty), Baie Verte, Perry Sacrey (Lorraine), Baie Verte, and Nancy Head (Lorne), Baie Verte; son-in-law, Edgar Norman, Pacquet; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Ralph Sacrey (Edna), Marie Norman, and Sidney Sacrey (Phyllis); siblings-in-law, Howard Bath (Georgina), Ralph Bath (Rita), Gertie Burton (Gus), Shirley Norman, and Margaret Sacrey (Clarence); and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Pastor Keith Lane conducted the funeral service at Harvestime Pentecostal Church and Cemetery, Pacquet, on Wednesday, May 27, 2009. Pallbearers were Shawn Loveman, Stephen Loveman, Patrick Saunders, Roy Sacrey, Lawson Sacrey, and Junior Sacrey. Funeral arrangements were by Wimbleton's Funeral Home, Baie Verte.

CULL, ALFREDA Margaret
1932-2009
October 14, 1932 - May 27, 2009

Alfreda was born on October 14, 1932 at Englee, NL, to Robert and Mary Jean Reid. As a young woman she met and married Alexander Cull and they spent their early married years together in Roddington. They later moved to Goose Bay where they resided. Alfreda is predeceased by her husband, Alex; son, Armenious, parents, Robert and Mary Jean Reid; brothers, Roland, Booth, Armenious; sister, Elizabeth and son-in-law, Wilson Heath. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are children, Wilson (Kandise) of Fort McMurray, Doris (Gary Elson) of Goose Bay, Ruby (Jim Pittman) of Fort McMurray, Evelyn (Bernie Glavine) of Grand Falls-Windsor, Rick (Sandy) of Barrie, ON, Lindy (Sunny) Edmonton, Marshall (Linda) of Stoney Plain, Shirley McMullin of St. Albert. Also leaving to mourn grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother, Dorman (May) Reid, niece, Jean (Gerald Burton) other nieces and nephews, along with a large circle of relatives and friends. Pastors Wanece and Jeffrey Green conducted the funeral service at Bayview Pentecostal Tabernacle. Interment was at Oceanview Interfaith Cemetery. Pallbearers were Wilson Cull, Rick Cull, Jim Pittman, Gary Elson, Gary Cull, Derrick Cull, Terry Heath. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sheila Goodyear of Central Funeral Homes.
