The Nor'Wester
is a community newspaper for Green Bay and White Bay.

Passed away May 26, 2004, peacefully, Beulah Maud Short at the BVPHC, Baie Verte. Predeceased by husband Lester Sr. Left to mourn are sons Lester (Marion) and Ralph (Louise), Elmo of La Scie; daughter Iris (John David), Bathurst, NB; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rev. Kean conducted the funeral service at Zion United Church, La Scie on May 28, 2004. Interment was at Tilt Cove Cemetery. Pallbearers were Walt Rogers, Ross Diamond, Carl Sheppard, Dave Brett, Ray Gray and Tom Bath.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late William J. Gray, age 91, announce his passing at the BVPHC, Baie Verte on Wednesday, May 26, 2004. Predeceased by his wife Lizzie; parents John and Maude Gray; brother Charlie; sister Josephine Wimbleton; step-brother Arthur Gray step-sisters Elizabeth Bath, Harriet Morey and Emma Lacey. Left with fond and loving memories are children Boyce (Kathy), Effie Hunt (Lloyd), Ralph (Florence), Alma Osmond (Garland), Marjorie Dicks (Baxter), Rose Foster (James); 22 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; brother Clarence (Gertie); many nieces and nephews and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rev. Kean conducted the funeral services at the First United Church and Cemetery, Shoe Cove on Sunday, May 30, 2004. Pallbearers were Merrick Foster, Stephen Dicks, Craig hunt, Terry Hunt, Nelson Gray and Sandy Newbury.
