STUCKLESS, DAISY
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Daisy
Stuckless announce her passing at the hospital in Springdale on March
2, 2005 at the age of 93. Daisy was a member of the United Church, Springdale and had
retired from the Springdale Hospital as a cook. Predeceased by her husband
Norman Stuckless. Leaving to mourn Marina (Chesley Young) and Dawson Stuckless
(Norma Winsor). Rev. Betty Robbins conducted the funeral service at Grace United
Church and Cemetery, Springdale on March 4, 2005. Pallbearers were Chesley
Young, Dawson Stuckless, Stedman Rice, Harold Budgell, Dennis Young and Ray
Young.
WALKER, CATHERINE L. (KITTY) Nee JOY
It is with great sadness that the family
of the late Kitty Walker announce her passing at her home in St. Patrick's on
Thursday, March 3, 2005 at the age of 82. Kitty was an associate
member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 40, Springdale and an active member
of the Sacred Heart Parish, St. Patrick's. Left with fond and loving memories
are husband Jack Walker; sons John (Leona), St. Juliens and Steven (Debbie),
St. Patrick's; daughters Margaret (Paul), Conception Bay, Lillian (Clem), Tilting
and Juanita (Frank), Tilting. Also leaving to mourn brother William Joy; grandchildren
Paul O'Driscoll, Cathy Bruff, Trevor Foley, Chantel Foley, Steven Dwyer, Colin
Dwyer, Daryl Walker and Jamie Walker and a large circle of friends and relatives.
Father Eugene Morris conducted the funeral service at the Sacred Heart Church
and Cemetery, St. Patrick's on Monday, March 7, 2005. Pallbearers were Trevor
Foley, Steven Dwyer, Colin Dwyer, Daryl Walker, Jamie Walker, Paul O'Driscoll
and the crossbearer was Andrew Walker. WHELAN, CHESLEY
It is with great sadness
that the family of the late Chesley Arthur Whelan announce his passing at
his residence in Pilley's Island on March 5, 2005 at the age of 79 years, 8
months. Chesley was retired form Brinex mining company. Predeceased by parents
Michael and Melinda Whelan; two sisters Ellen and Norah and one brother William.
Leaving to mourn sister Jeanette (Denis) Duclus, Sudbury, On and brother Terry
(Joan), Triton. Father Eugene Morris. Major Frank Johnson and Rev. Beverly
Noble conducted the funeral service at the Salvation Army Citadel, Pilley's
Island on March 9, 2005. Interment was at the United Cemetery,
Pilley's Island. Pallbearers were Michael Whalen, Maurice Whalen, Roger Whalen,
John Ryan, Gerald Whalen and Roger Warr.
GOUDIE, MINNIE BELLE
It is with great sadness that the family of the
late Minnie Belle Goudie announce her passing at the Valley Vista Senior's
Home, Springdale on March 13, 2005 at the age of 81. Predeceased by parents
Albert and Emily Weir and brothers Baxter, Arthur, Heber and Bruce. Left
with fond and loving memories are spouse Max Goudie; sons Kevin (Vanessa),
Essex, ON, Keith (Marcella), Rocky Mountain House, AB and Kurt (Sherry),
Springdale and daughter Judy Pelley (Peter), Springdale. Also leaving to
mourn brothers Charlie Weir (Jacqueline), Cyril Weir and Don Weir (Linda);
brother-in-law Pearce Goudie (Lorraine); grandchildren Matthew. Teena,
Andrew, Jason, Richard, Jill, Gavin and Holly; great grandchildren Cody,
Emma, Aiden and Taneal. Pastor Eric Goudie conducted the funeral service
at the Pentecostal Church and Cemetery, Springdale on March 17, 2005. Pallbearers
were Kevin Goudie, Keith Goudie, Kurt Goudie, Peter Pelley, Sherry Goudie
and Gavin Goudie.

Passed away March 13, 2005, peacefully,
Velma Irene Snow at the Valley Vista Senior's Home, Springdale at the
age of 79. Left to mourn are husband Woodrow and daughter Beverly of Bishop's
Falls. Also leaving to mourn sister Daphne Drover (Graham), Mount Pearl
and brother Roderick (Ruth), King's Point. Rev. Clouter conducted the
funeral service at the United Church, King's Point on March 15, 2005. Interment
was at the Interfaith Cemetery, King's Point. Pallbearers were Don Welshman,
Wayne Welshman, Peter Welshman, Merrick Snow, Bruce Burt and Everett
Anstey.
LOCKE, GERALD CECIL
It is with great sadness that the family of the late
Gerald Cecil Locke announce his passing at the Valley Vista Senior's Home,
Springdale on March 20, 2005 at the age of 79. Gerald retired from Fishery
Products International Ltd. Triton. Predeceased by parents Philip and Bessie
and sister Winnifred. Left with fond and loving memories are wife Nellie;
sons Guy (Patricia), Triton and Gary (Coleen), Labrador City; daughters
Gail (Wayne), Robert's Arm, Judy (Cyril), Triton, Bessie (Bruce), Lloydminister,
AB and Nenia (Jim), Bracebridge, ON. Also leaving to mourn brother Fred;
sister Victoria; 13 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and a large

Colbourne conducted the funeral service at the Salvation Army Citadel,
Triton on March 23, 2005. Interment was at the Interfaith Cemetery, Triton.

Daisy Bell Rowsell announce her passing at the CRHC, Grand Falls-Windsor
on March 21, 2005 at the age of 83. Daisy was a member of the United Church,
Beaumont and a retired homemaker. Predeceased by her husband Roland and
brothers Don and Allan Hewlett. left with fond and loving memories are
sons Ross (Kay), Beaumont, Lewis (Hope), South Brook, Jack (Barbara), Bishop's
Falls and Harold (Jackie), Beaumont; daughters Gloria (Alonzo), Beaumont,
Shirley (Roger), Halifax, NS, Alma (Terry), Grand Falls-Windsor, Brenda
(Bruce), Beaumont and Dulcie (Keith), Beaumont. Also leaving to mourn two
sisters Netta and Marie; two brothers Alex and Harold Hewlett; special
friend Hector; 19 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Barbara Noble
conducted the funeral service at the United Church and Cemetery on March
26, 2005. Pallbearers were Alonzo Rideout and her five sons Ross, Lewis,
Jack, Brian and Harold Rowsell.

It is with great sadness
that the family of the late Theophilus Oxford announce his passing at
the Valley Vista Complex, Springdale on March 23, 2005 at the age of 92.
Theophilus retired from S. T. Jones & Son Ltd. in 1978. Predeceased by parents
James and Martha; sister Mildred (Jones); brothers Clifford, Maxwell, Elihu
and Clayton. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Hettie; daughters
Zelda (late Cecil Locke), Little Bay Islands, Gwen (Neil Jenkins), Springdale
and Gail (Dave Rowsell), Little Bay Islands. Also leaving to mourn sister
Hazel Grimes; brother Wincel; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren
and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Capt. and Mrs. Weldon
Hayward conducted the funeral service at the Salvation Army Citadel on
March 26, 2005. Interment was at the Interfaith Cemetery, Little Bay Islands.

Passed peacefully away on March 24, 2005 at Western Memorial Hospital,
Corner Brook, Annie Mae Wiseman at the age of 94. Predeceased by her
husband Dexter Wiseman. Left to mourn are sons Guy (Tina), Salt Springs,
NS and Alvin (Edith), Corner Brook; brother Harold Guy, Carmanville; four
grandchildren and two great grandchildren. major Lindsay and Josephine
Oxford conducted the funeral service at the Salvation Army, Springdale
on April 1, 2005. Pallbearers were Harry Oxford, Brian Hancock, Shawn Weir,
Jim Jacobs, Kevin Saunders and Shawn Dicks.

Lucretia Saunders at Bay St. George age 88. Predeceased by husband Stanley;
son Calvin; parents Robert and Lilly Mitchell; brothers Bobby, Norman,
Eleazer and William and sister Melinda. Left to mourn are sons Lewis (Ann),
Middle Arm, Steward (Caroline), Antigonish NS and Wane (Daphne), Middle
Arm and daughter Ruby (Charlie Tilley), La Scie. Also leaving to mourn
half sisters Maisie Robinson and Mina Matthews; 25 grandchildren; 32 great
grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Pastor Junior Windsor
conducted the funeral service at Bayview Pentecostal Church, Middle Arm
on Wednesday, March 30, 2005. Interment was at the Interfaith Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Wayne Saunders, Jonathan Saunders, Chris Saunders, Ruby
England, Craig Saunders and Lewis Mitchell.

Fitzgerald,
age 56, announce his passing at his residence in Baie Verte on Thursday,
March 31, 2005. Predeceased by parents Bernard and Loretta Fitzgerald;
brothers Gerard Sr. Loyola and Gerard Jr. Left to mourn are son Elvis
(Barbara), Halifax, NS and special friend Margaret Bryan, Baie Verte. Also
left to mourn are siblings Helen Counsel (Tom), Mount Pearl, Jerome Fitzgerald
(Priscilla) Winnipeg, MB, Bernice Hunt (Vincent), Mount Pearl, Dorothy
Ricketts (James), Prince George, BC, Mary Downey (Joe), Cambridge, ON,
Cecelia Gillingham (Clarence) and Mark Fitzgerald (Glenda) both of Baie
Verte; many nieces and nephews and a large circle of other relatives
and friends. Father Tom Duffenais conducted the funeral mass at St. Pius
X Roman Catholic Church and Cemetery, Baie Verte on Monday, April 4, 2005.
Pallbearers were Vincent Hunt, Gene Seymour, Clarence Gillingham, Tone
Seymour, Mark McPherson and Dean Hewlett. The crossbearer was Dave Hogan.
