BUDGELL, HARVEY FRANCIS
it is with great sadness that the family of the late Harvey Francis Budgell announce his passing in Winnipeg, MB on March 1, 2003 at the age of 54 years. Predeceased by parents Vera and Harvey; brother Barrie and sister Doreen. Left with fond and loving memories is daughter Tammy (Loius Morris), Goulds. Also leaving to mourn sisters Ruth, Sylvia, Betty, Carolyn, Joslyn and Beverly; brothers Miles and Craig and grandchildren Jovannah and Joshua. Rev. Hubert Tucker conducted the funeral service at the United Church, Pilley's Island on march 9, 2003. Interment was at the United Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Raymond Warr, Jim Martin, Edward Traverse, Lloyd Thornhill, Louis Morris and Eugene Fudge.

BURTON, JESSIE MAY
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Jessie May Burton announce her passing at the GBHC Springdale on March 1, 2003 at the age of 89. Jessie was a member of Trinity Pentecostal Church, Baie Verte. Predeceased by her husband Sandy Burton. Left with fond and loving memories are sons Ted Burton (Faye), Beaumont Ernest Burton (Joan), Beaumont, and Gerald Burton (Wendy), New Market, ON; daughters Lulu Verge (Wilfred), Brighton, Joan Burton (Frank), Beaumont Betty Oake (Gerald), Beaumont, Joy Fudge (Roland), Baie Verte and Marion Burton (Max), Springdale. Also leaving to mourn one sister Meta Rice; one brother Roland Burton; a large number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Pastor parsons conducted the funeral service at the Faith Pentecostal Church on March 3, 2003. Interment was at the Pentecostal Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jerry Fudge, Boyce Burton, Ted Burton Dion Burton, Wade Oake and Max burton

DOMALAIN, LEONARD
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Leonard Domalain, Baie Verte, age 90, announce his passing at the Valley Vista Senior's Home, Springdale on Sunday, March 2, 2003. Predeceased by his parents Edward and Maude Domalain; sisters Madeline O'Connell (John), Monica Downey (John Joe) and Theresa Wiseman; brother William Domalain and brother-in-law John Thomas Barrett. Left with fond and loving memories are sister Mary Barrett, Baie Verte; brotherinlaw Edward Wiseman, Springdale; sister-in-law Marie Domalain, Burlington, ON; many nieces and nephews; his dear and special friends at the Valley Vista, Springdale and Baie View Manor, Baie Verte and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Father Tom Duffenais conducted the funeral services at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church and Cemetery, Baie Verte on Tuesday, March 4, 2003. Pallbearers were John L. Downey, Kevin Barrett, Steve Barrett, Ernest Rice, Bernard Downey, Bill Drover and the crossbearer was Barbara Downey.

DOWNEY, REV. ABRAHAM,
SPRINGDALE

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rev. Abraham Downey announce his passing a the the GBHC, Springdale on March 2, 2003 at the age of 75 years and five months. Rev. Downey was a member of McDonald LOL #239 Lester Pearson R. B. P. 1319. He retired from the United Church of Canada in 1993. Predeceased by parents Maud and Rufus Downey. Left with fond and loving memories are his loving wife Margaurite; sons Douglas (Mildred) and Lawrence (Helen) all of Springdale; daughters Lorinda (Gordon), Springdale, Christine (Jerry), Corner Brook and Millicent (Lou), Okotoks, AB. Also leaving to mourn brother Raymond and wife Marly; grandchildren Natasha (Tavin), Danny, Vanessa (Gord), Aileen (Jamie), Michelle, Lawrence Jr., Monica and Tricha; great grandchildren Winona and Jayden and sisters-in-law Geraldine, Beulah and Pauline. Majors Gary and Glendys Butt, Rev. Marion Davis, Rev. John Adams and Rev. Clayton Parsons conducted the funeral service at the Salvation Army Church on March 5, 2003. Interment was at the United Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were his two sons Doug and Lawrence Downey, Francis osbourne, Warrick Osbourne, Lesley Bowers and Clarence Freake.

EARLE, ANNIE
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Annie Earle announce her passing at the GBHC, Springdale on March 5, 2003 at the age of 84. Predeceased by her parents Abel and Loiuse Smith; sister Minnie; brothers Neil, Joe, Gordon and Harold. Left with fond and loving memories are husband George and daughters Ada and Lena (Carl) all of Springdale. Also leaving to mourn granddaughters Trina and Sasha and sister Queen Decker. Rev. Marion Davis conducted the funeral services at the Central Funeral Home, Springdale on March 7, 2003. Interment was at the United Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Carl Mercer, Pearce Rideout, Bryce Dawe, Kelvin Kelleher, Stedmen Mercer and Gordon Jenkins.

KING, HAZEL
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hazel King announce her passing at the Valley Vista, Springdale on March 7, 2003 at the age of 82 years. Predeceased by husband Fred; mother, father, three brothers and two sisters. Left with fond and loving memories are son Paul (Ellen), Harry's Hr; daughters Margaret (Cal), Harry's Hr, Joan (Roger), Grand Falls-Windsor, Ivy (Roy), Comfort Cove and Cora, Burlington. Also leaving to mourn brother harvey; 15 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Rev. Lodge conducted the funeral service at the United Church on March 10, 2003. Interment was at the United Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Roger Parsons, Roy Harnett, Cal England, Michael Harnett, Jonathan King and Paul Gillard.

LEWIS, VICTOR STEVEN
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Victor Steven Lewis, Fleur De Lys, age 85, announce his passing at the BVPHC, Baie Verte on Sunday, March 9, 2003. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Julia Lewis; infant daughter Mary Amelda; brothers Gordon (Ellen) and Robert; brothers-in-law Jack Quigley and Pat Quigley and nephew Dennis Quigley. Left with fond and loving memories are wife Beatrice; sons Wayne (Ann-Marie), Calgary, AB, John (Janice), Beverton, ON, Ernie, St. John's, Michael. (Kay), Middle Sackville, NS and Barry (Edna), Fort McMurray, AB.; daughters Victoria, Baie Verte, Laura Doucette (Nat), Lower Sackville, NS, Mary-Ellen Downey (Elias), Fort McMurray, AB, Carmen, Fleur De Lys, Bonnie Spurrell, Leduc, AB and Julia Parsons (Vince), Fort McMurray; sisters Terri Boutell (Oscar), Joan Ford (Jerry), Florence Quigley and Julia Quigley; sister-in-law Theresa Lewis; 27 grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Father Tom Duffenais conducted the funeral service at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church and Cemetery, Fleur De Lys on Thursday, march 13, 2003. Pallbearers were sons John, Ernie, Michael and Barry, grandson Chad Lewis and nephew Ken Lewis and the crossbearer was son Wayne.

TILLEY, LEWIS JOHN
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lewis John Tilley, La Scie , age 79, announce his passing at the BVPHC, Baie Verte on Wednesday, March 12, 2003. Predeceased by his parents Josiah and Naomi and brother Samuel. Left with fond and loving memories are children Barry (Rose), Brent's Cove, Kharis Collins (Malcolm), Edmonton, AB, Wade (Pamela), La Scie, Roxann Gray (Ross), St. George's NB, Diane Blackwood, La Scie, Rhonda Gray (Bob), Shoe Cove; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Also leaving to mourn are brothers George (Evelyn), St. John's, Earl (Phyllis), London, ON and Cecil, Kitchener, On; sister Geraldine Collins, Baie Verte and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Captain Stan Higdon conducted the funeral service at the Salvation Army Citadel, La Scie on Saturday, March 15, 2003. Interment followed at first United Church Cemetery, Shoe Cove. Pallbearers were Rhonda Gray, Kharis Collins, Diane Blackwood, Barry Tilley, Christopher Tilley and Bob Gray

WEIR, RITA PHINETTA
Passed away March 12, 2003 at her home in Robert's Arm, Rita Phinetta Weir age 71. Predeceased by her parents Kenneth and Ella Moores. Left to mourn are husband Cyril son Albert (Stella), Robert's Arm; daughters Patsy (Pearce Campbell), Robert's Arm, Helen (Leonard Strickland), Brampton, ON and Angela (Joseph Girard), Robert's Arm. Also leaving to mourn sister Vivian Boyde, Pilley's Island; brothers Bert Moores and Calvin Moores, eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Capt. Canning conducted the funeral service at the Salvation Army Church, Robert's Arm on March 15, 2003. Interment was at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Robert's Arm. Pallbearers were Todd Weir, Conn Vincent, Sterling Strickland, Keewood Weir, Lorne Strickland and Roger Winsor.

REID, DWAYNE WESLEY
Passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, March 14, 2003 after a long battle with leukemia, Dwayne W. Reid in his 32nd year. He was the beloved husband of Maggie (Hughes), loving father of Dylan, Kegan and Amber all at home. Loved son of Bessie and Wesley Reid and brother of Norma Locsch and her husband Joe all of Guelph; brother-in-law of Stephen Hughes Kitchener, William Hughes and his wife Sherry of Ayr, Janice Bowman, Myra Milo and her husband Calvin and Heather Burdenell and her husband Joe all of England. Fondly remembered by many aunts, uncles. cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother-in-law Jean Drummond and grandparents Ralph and Blanche Fudge and Edgar and Belinda Reid of Newfoundland. Dwayne was supervisor with Jones Packaging, Guelph and will be missed by many co-workers and friends. A funeral service took place at Parkview Pentecostal Church, Guelph on Monday, March 17, 2003. Interment was at Marymount Cemetery, Guelph

ANDREWS, PHEOBE MARY
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Pheobe Mary Andrews, age 85, announce her passing at her family residence in La Scie on Tuesday, March 18, 2003. Predeceased by her husband Samuel; parents Peter and Amelia Austin; brothers George, Herbert, Augustus, Gordon, Warrick and Wesley Austin; sisters Hazel Ricketts and Elsie Bowers and grandchildren Farrah Andrews and baby Andrews. Left with fond and loving memories are son Gerald (Tassie), La Scie; daughters Dorothy Gale (Garland), Elliott Lake, ON and Rowena Andrews, La Scie; grandchildren Gina Quinn (Marc), Jamie Gale and Cheyenne Andrews; great grandchildren, Courtney, Jared and Matthew Quinn; sister-in-law Rose Austin; brothers-in-law Stewart Andrews (Patience) and Ross Andrews and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rev. George Kean conducted the funeral service at Zion United Church and Cemetery, La Scie on Saturday, March 22, 2003. Pallbearers were UCW members Neta Price, Myrtis Foote, Marilyn Billard, Madonna Boone, Yvette Richards and Effie Hunt.

DICKS, RONALD BENJAMIN
Passed peacefully away March 21, 2003, Ronald Benjamin Dicks, Seal Cove White Bay at CNRHC, Grand Falls-Windsor. He was 76 years old. Predeceased by parents Charles and Jessie, brothers Maxwell and Leslie and stepsister Sadie. Left to mourn are wife Daphney; sons Ronald Jr., Seal Cove, Roddrick (Kelly), Thunder Bay, ON and Norman (Roxanne), Thunder Bay, ON; daughters Maryann (Brian Parsons), St. John's and Glenda (Mark Fitzgerald), Baie Verte. Also leaving to mourn are brother Wallace; grandchildren June, David and Nancy Fitzgerald Dylan and Shakira Dicks; step grandchildren Kurtis, Krista and Taran Van Cottham; great grandchildren Michael and Brandon Williams and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Captain Blake conducted the funeral services at the Salvation Army Church and Cemetery on Monday, March 24, 2003

WINSOR, CHARLOTTE
Passed away March 23, 2003, Charlotte Winsor, at the CNRHC, Grand Falls-Windsor. Predeceased by Francis Winsor and son Douglas Rideout. Left to mourn is daughter-in-law Marion of St. John's. Also leaving to mourn are sisters Ethel, Effie, Lulu and Una; brothers Lewis and Maitland; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Rev. Young and Major Brace conducted the funeral service at the King's Point Salvation Army on March 25, 2003. Interment was at the King's Point Interfaith Cemetery. Pallbearers were Henry Andrews, Cluney Dawe, Roy Richards, Clem Newbury, Ron Roberts and Don Maye.

RYAN, MABEL JOYCE
Passed away on March 23, 2003 at the CNRHC, Grand Falls-Windsor, Mabel Joyce Ryan at age 73. Predeceased by husband James; sons Dennis and Winston and brother Reginald. Left to mourn are sons Michael, Little Bay; David (Lillian), Terra Cotta, ON and Eric (Christine); daughters Lisa, Calgary, AB; Lorna (Wilson Faulkner), Triton and Sheila (Scott Simms), Little Bay. Also leaving to mourn brothers Lloyd and Howard; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Capt. E. Canning conducted the funeral services at the Robert's Arm Salvation Army Citadel and Cemetery. Pallbearers were son Mike, John Sharpe, Roy Bridger, Carl Ryan, Fraser Ryan and Paul Bouzanne

STRICKLAND, WILLIAM D.
It is with great sadness that the family of the late William D. Strickland announce his passing at home in Pilley's Island on March 26, 2003 at the age of 77. Mr. Strickland was a member of the Salvation Army Men's Fellowship and retired from the Dept. of Highways. Predeceased by first wife Mae; second wife Melita Ward; mother and father, brothers Arthur and Jackie; son Jackie and daughter and grandson Toby Moores. Left with fond memories are sons Hayward (Joyce), Pilley's Island, Bruce (Doretta), Triton, David (Yvonne), Pilley's Island, Boyce (Della), Pilley's Island, John (Erica), Scarbough, ON and Hank (Marcella), Pilley's Island; daughters Thelma (Gerald), Springdale, Roseanne (Roy), Pilley's Island, Bonnie (Thomas), Triton, Shirley (Rocky), Whitby, ON, Sherrie (David), North Sydney, NS and Paula (Steve), Pilley's Island. Also leaving to mourn brothers Donald Strickland, Hayward Strickland and Edmund Strickland; sister Ethel Fifield; 24 grandchildren and seven grandchildren. Captains Blaine and Darlene Hopkins conducted the funeral services st the Pilley's Island Salvation Army Citael and Cemetery on March 30, 2003 Pallbearers were his six sons.

Passed peacefully away March 27, 2003, Mary Barrett, 86, at the BVPHC, Baie Verte. Predeceased by husband John Thomas (1986); son Leonard, a daughter at birth; parents Edward and Maude Domalain; sisters Madeline O'Connell (John), Monica Downey (John Joe) and Theresa Wiseman and brothers Leonard and William Domalain. Left to mourn are sons Ned (Marina), Fort MacMurray, AB. Joe (Ann), Sparwood, BC, Steve (Dorothy), Fleur De Lys, John (Donna), Sylvan Lake, AB, Mike (Cynthia), Whitbourne, Kevin (Paula), Fleur De Lys and Fred (Kellie), Fort MacMurray, AB; daughters Joan (Ray Mills), Fort MacMurray, AB and Mary Ellen (Jim Kirk), Hamilton, ON. Also leaving to mourn 27 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; special niece Olivia Breen and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Father Tom Duffenais conducted the funeral services at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church and Cemetery, Fleur De Lys on March 29, 2003. Pallbearers were Ned Barrett, Steve Barrett, Mike Barrett, Kevin Barrett, Fred Barrett and Clyde Barrett and the Crossbearer was Devin Barrett

RIDEOUT, JACINTA
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Jacinta Rideout, age 52, announce her passing at the Palliative Care Unit, Leonard A. Miller Centre, St. John's on Sunday, March 30, 2003. Predeceased by her parents John (Jack) and Mary (Molly) Traverse; parents-in-law Alfred and Francis Rideout and sister-in-law Genevieve Downey. Left with fond and loving memories are husband Tom, St. John's; son Terry (Collette Bedard), Chetwynd, BC; daughters Tina Rideout (Winston Norman), Baie Verte, Margaret and Kara-Lynn, both of St. John's; sisters Anna-Mae Hoven (Lawrence), Kathleen Van Rooyen (Jack) and Irene Pumphrey (Joe); brothers Arthur (Ophelia), Garry (Tammy), Bill (Jesse), John (Adelaine), Jim (Angie), Edward (Carol) and Paul (Kerri); sisters-in-law Kathleen Dempsey (Joseph), Margaret Ann Reeves (Jerome), Angela Sheils (Murray), Clotilda Dicks (Graham) and Shirley Rideout; brothers-in-law James Rideout (Bertha), Stanley Rideout (Karen), Ron Rideout (Marjorie), Roy Rideout (Gwen) and Russell Downey and a large circle of other relatives and friends.
