TUCKER, GLADYS PEARL
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gladys Pearl Tucker announce her passing at the Valley Vista, Springdale on March 7, 2002 at the age of 94. Gladys was a member of the United Church. Predeceased by her husband Walter. Left with fond and loving memories are: sons Raymond (Phoebe), Springdale and George (Rose), Little Bay Islands; daughters Doris (Raymond), Montreal and Marie, West Palm Beach, Florida. Also leaving to mourn; grandchildren Michelle, Mary Ann, Daphne and Rex; great grandchildren Noah, Matthew and Leslie. Rev. Beverley Snow conducted the funeral service at the United Church on March 9, 2002. Interment was at the United Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Cyril Oxford, Barry Earle, George Wiseman, Wincel Oxford, Perry Leaman and Rex Weir.

DOBBIN, HAROLD MICHAEL
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Harold Michael Dobbin announce his passing at Little Bay on March 11, 2002 at the age of 70. Harold retired from mining. Predeceased by daughter Debra; mother Anastasia; father David and brothers John and Gordon. Left with fond and loving memories are: wife Elizabeth (Lizzie); sons Gerald, Calgary, AB, Harold Jr., Calgary, AB, Jim (Sally), Calgary, AB, Joe (Dawn), Thompson, MB and Mike (Dorothy), Calgary, AB; daughters Mary (Richard Bourgeois), Kitscoty, AB, Louise, Pickering, ON, Phyllis (Bruce Simms), Little Bay, Barb (Carl Lundrigan), Lloydminister, SK, Lucy (Chris Walsh), Fort MacMurray, AB and Michelle (Matt Bliss), Rossport, ON. Also leaving to mourn: brother David Dobbin (Bessie); sisters Hilary Boyd and Lucy (Francis) Bouzane; 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Father E. Morris conducted the funeral service at the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church on March 15, 2002. Interment was at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Patrick's. Pallbearers were Trevor Mercer, Jason Mercer, Marc Simms, Mike Simms, Harold Dobbin Jr. and Mike Dobbin.

BURTON, CHARLES H.
SPRINGDALE

it is with great sadness that the family of the late Charles H. Burton announce his passing at the Hospital in Springdale on March 18, 2002 at the age of 75. Charles was a member of the Pentecostal Church, Springdale and retired from logging. Predeceased by parents Herbert and Margaret Burton and sister Gertie. Left with fond and loving memories are wife Florence; son Wilfred (Christine), Springdale; daughters Bonnie (Francis), Listuguj, Que., Elsie (Harold), Springdale, Lorraine (Jacque), Kedgwick, NB; four stepchildren, Rita, Rose, Gilbert and Catherine. Also leaving to mourn are brothers Albert, Timothy, Stanley, Malcolm and Harvey; sisters Ethel, Lillian, Myrtle, Lydia and Joyce. Pastor Rideout conducted the funeral service at the Pentecostal Church on March 21, 2002. Interment was at the Pentecostal Cemetery. Pallbearers were brothers Albert, Timothy, Stanley, Malcolm, Harvey and cousin Pearce.

ROBERTS, ROWENA MARGARET
TRITON

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rowena Margaret Roberts, age 76, announce her passing at the Valley Vista Senior Citizen's Home, Springdale on March 25, 2002. Left with fond and loving memories are husband Steward; sons Clarence (Gloria), Wallace (Marge) and Bernard (Patricia), all of Triton; daughters Golda (Alvin), Faye (Hubert), Florence (Roy), Frances (Nelson), Fern (Cyril), all of Triton and Freda (Morris) of St. John's; sister Alma Vincent, Triton; brother Reginald Fudge, Stephenville; 22 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Pastor E. Rideout conducted the funeral service at Maranatha Pentecostal Tabernacle, Triton on March 28, 2002. Interment was at Jim's Cove Community Cemetery. Pallbearers were Clarence Roberts, Wallace Roberts, Bernard Roberts, Jeffrey Roberts, Christopher Roberts and Cory Roberts.

PENNEY, CECIL JAMES
ROBERT'S ARM

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Cecil James Penney, age 44, announce his passing at his home in Robert's Arm on March 28, 2002. He was a teacher at the Green Bay South Academy. Predeceased by son Jeffrey and mother Helen Penney. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Glenys; son Andre. both of Robert's Arm; daughter Lori-Beth, Ottawa, ON. Also leaving to mourn sisters Marie (Calvin), Louise (Edward), Joyce (Kevin), Yvonne (Tom) and Laura (Andrew); brothers Gerald (Charlotte), Thomas (Lydia), Aubrey (Phyllis) and father Thomas (Mae). Pastors Wade Lodge and Wayne Noble conducted the funeral service at Word of Life Tabernacle, Robert's Arm at Noon, Monday, April 1, 2002. Interment was at Deer Lake Pentecostal Cemetery. Pallbearers were brothers, Tom, Aubrey, and Gerald Penney; brothers-in-law Calvin Young, Andrew Strugnal and Edward Kippenhuck.

LAING, WINNIFRED ALICE,
SPRINGDALE

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Winnifred Alice Laing announce her passing at the Central Newfoundland Hospital, Grand Falls-Windsor on the 28th day of March at the age of 79. Alice Laing (nee Rice) was a member of the Pentecostal Church. Predeceased by parents George and Blanche Rice; husband Joseph Laing; sister Mabel Hamilton and brothers Gary, William and Eli. Left with fond and loving memories are sons Leonard (Jean), Port Anson, Frederick (Dorothy), South Brook, Leroy (Ula), Springdale, Geoffrey (Elizabeth), Quebec, Wilson, Ontario, Raymond, Ontario, Donald, Springdale and Melvin, St. John's; daughters Rosalie (Warren), Ontario, Margaret (Wells), Ontario, Betty (Lacosta), Ontario, Jaunita (Wells) and husband Leonard, Springdale Winnifred (Penney) and husband James, Springdale and Linda (Laing), Ontario. Also leaving to mourn two sisters Mildred Huxter and Georgina Drover (Albert); brothers Jack Rice and Clayton (Ruth); 40 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and a large number of relatives and friends. Pastor E. Rideout conducted the funeral service at the Pentecostal Church on March 31, 2002. Interment was at the Pentecostal Cemetery. Pallbearers were sons Leonard, Frederick, Donald, Leroy, Geoffrey and grandson Joey Laing.

RICE, ESAU JOHN
SPRINGDALE

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Esau John Rice announce his passing at the Green Bay Health Centre, Springdale on March 29, 2002 at the age of 76. Mr. Rice was a member of the Springdale Pentecostal Church and retired from the Department of Highways in 1987. Predeceased by parents George and Blanche Rice; sisters Mable and Alice and brothers Gary, William and Eli. Left with fond and loving memories are wife Ivy; sons George (Shelia), Port Anson, Paul (Mabel), Wild Cove, Harvey (Barbara), Springdale and Ford, St. John's; daughters Verna (James), Bonavista, Madge (Rodney), La Scie, Jacqueline (Bill), Grand Falls-Windsor and Marjorie (Duncan), St. John's. Also leaving to mourn one brother Clayton (Ruth); two sisters Mildred Huxter and Georgina (Albert) Drover; sixteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Pastor Rowe conducted the funeral service at the Springdale Pentecostal Church on April 1, 2002. Interment was at the Pentecostal Cemetery. Pallbearers were Duncan Parsons Sr., James Huxter, Cyril Goudie, Wilbert Huxter, Roy Rice and Terry Rolfe.
