WARFORD, BLANCH BLAKE CAVELLE,
RATTLING BROOK

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Blanch Blake Cavelle Warford announce her passing at the Central Newfoundland Hospital, Grand Falls-Windsor on June 7, 2001 at the age of 84 years. Blanch was a member of the Salvation Army Church, King's Point. Left with fond and loving memories are; husband William Warford; sons Allan (Wavey), Wayne (Bonnie) both of King's Point, Dennis (Alva), Everett (Beulah) and Lloyd (Thelma) of Rattling Brook; daughters Ruth Pickett (Eleazor), Centerville, Rose White (Rocco), Fort McMurray, AB, Audine Anstey (Lloyd) and Roxanne Kelley (Barry) of King's Point. Also leaving to mourn: 24 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Capt Ralph Young conducted the funeral service at the Salvation Army Church, King's Point on June 11, 2001. Interment was at the Interfaith Cemetery, King's Point. Pallbearers were grandchildren Eugene Warford, Jeremy Warford, Perry Warford, Michael Anstey, Melanie Warford and Terri-Lynn Warford.

GREENHAM, MAXWELL,
PACQUET

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Maxwell Greenham, age 77, announce his passing at the BVPHC on Monday, June 11, 2001. Predeceased by: his parents Alfred and Lillian Greenham; daughter baby Greenham and sisters Pheobe and Gertie. Left with fond memories are: wife Ethel; sons Gordon (Jaunita), Giddus (Valerie), Gerald (Connie) and Guy (Pam Hynes) all of Pacquet; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also leaving to mourn: brothers Jack and Pleman Greenham and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Pastor Lionel Miles conducted the funeral service at the Harvest Time Pentecostal Church and Cemetery, Pacquet on Wednesday, June 13, 2001. Pallbearers were Morris Greenham, Melvin Greenham, Claude Greenham, Corwin Greenham, Chad Greenham and Nelson Bussey.

LOCKE, FREEMAN,
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Freeman Locke announce his passing at the Valley Vista Seniors Complex, Springdale on June 12, 2001 at the age of 79. Freeman retired from the Little Bay Islands Town Council as Maintenance Man in 1982. Predeceased by parents John and Maggie Locke; brother Piercy and grandson Todd. Left with fond and loving memories are: wife Rosie; son Chris Locke, Little Bay Islands; daughters - Linda Oram (Ivan), Glovertown, Elaine Simms (Gerald), Little Bay Islands, Daphne Sturge (Don), Little Bay Islands and Lori Ann Prowse (Barry), Smith's Hr. Also leaving to mourn: eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three sisters Lillian Roberts, Vicki Wiseman and twin Gladys Roberts and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Captain Brandi Letuel conducted the funeral service at the Salvation Army Citadel on Friday, June 15, 2001. Interment was at the Sulian's Cove Cemetery. Pallbearers were Cyril Oxford, Arthur Weir, Larry Locke, Gordon King, Lester Roberts and Lyndon Roberts.

WHITEHORNE, NEIL,
SPRINGDALE

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Neil Whitehorne announce his passing at the Green Bay Health Care Centre, Springdale on June 14, 2001 at the age of 73. Neil was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He retired from Neil Whitehorne Ltd., operator of Twillight Theatre and Central Amusements. Predeceased by; father W. G. Whitehorne; mother Maude and sister Rosie. Left with fond and loving memories are: wife Hallie; son Brian (Sharon) of Springdale. Also leaving to mourn: grandchildren Julie and Adam; brother Lloyd; sisters Muriel, Dorothy, Nina and Joyce. Rev. Russell Lodge conducted the funeral service at the Grace United Church on June 16, 2001. Interment was at the United Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were George Warr, John Butler, Paul Bursey, Carl Gillard, Joe Wells and Rayfield Wells.

DORMODY, MICHAEL
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Michael J. Dormody announce his passing at his home in Baie Verte on June 15, 2001 at the age of 63. Michael was a member of the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree; Baie Verte Fire Department and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 54. Michael was employed by Richmont Mines. Predeceased by John, Tim and Michael. Left with fond and loving memories are; wife Maude; son Bill (MArion) and grandchildren Ashley, Michael and Brandon. Also leaving to mourn: one sister, seven brothers and a large circle of family and friends. Father Edward Brophy conducted the funeral service at the Pius X on June 19, 2001. Interment was at the Baie Verte Roman Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dave Fudge, Don Loveman, Dave O'Driscoll, George Butt, Claude Sacrey and Jamie Walsh. The cross bearer was Ashley Dormody.

ROBERTS, FREDERICK,
TRITON

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Frederick Ernest Roberts, age 88, announce his passing at the Valley Vista Senior Citizens Home in Springdale on Sunday, June 17, 2001. Predeceased by: wife Geneva; parents, William and Louisa; three brothers, Francis, Samuel and Walter Roberts. Left with fond and loving memories are: sons - Ernest (Myrtle), Springdale and Herman (Edith), Paradise; daughters - Vivian (Pierce), Triton, Verna (Pastor Reginald), Birchy Bay, Barbara (Wilmore), Triton, Phyllis (Brenton), Triton, and Beryl; special friend John, Grand Falls-Windsor; sister - Barbara Fudge, Stephenville; brothers - William, Gander, Steward, Springdale; 33 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Major Frank Pittman conducted the funeral service at the Salvation Army, Triton on Tuesday, June 19, 2001. Interment was at the Community Cemetery, Triton. Pallbearers were Calvin Jennings, Waylon Jennings, Matthew Roberts, Desmond Hibbs, Danny Roberts and Tony Roberts

JACOBS, EMMA JANE
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Emma Jane Jacobs, age 80, announce her passing at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre on Monday, June 18, 2001. Predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Sarah Oliver; daughter Gloria Jacobs; grandchildren, Owen Green and Jennifer Jacobs; brother, Stanley Oliver and sister Evangeline Milley. Left with fond and loving memories are husband, Lewis; sons Tom (Ada), St Phillips; Ronald, Abbotsford, BC; Ralph (Cherry), Baie Verte,; Edgar (Bernadette Downey), Sackville, NS; Neville, Sackville, NS; Bob (Elaine), Snook's Arm; daughters, Jenny Norman (Gary), Baie Verte; Eva Greene (Harry), Manitawadge, ON; Maxine Blehler (Klaus), Baie Verte; Joan Whibley (Jamie), Orilla, ON. Also leaving to mourn brothers, Cecil Oliver, North Harbour and Fraser Oliver (Stella), Burnt Point; 32 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Marilyn Avery conducted the funeral service at Bethany United Church and Cemetery, Baie Verte on Thursday, June 21, 2001. Pallbearers were her six sons, Tim, Ronald, Ralph, Edgar, Neville and Bob.

FOSTER, MERVYN,
SPRINGDALE

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mervyn Foster announce his passing at the Green Bay Community Health Centre, Springdale on June 25, 2001 at the age of 52 years. Merv was a member of the Grace United Church, the Air Cadet League of Canada and several other organizations. He retired from teaching at Grant Collegiate in June, 1999. Predeceased by his father Roy Foster of King's Point. Left with fond and loving memories are: wife Lorraine; daughter Stephanie (Barry Spencer), Paradise, NF; mother Audrey Foster, King's Point; sisters Barbara Chipp (Dorman), Stephenville and Sandra Pynn (Lorne), Kilbride; brothers Robert (Vida), Labrador City, Cyril (Karen), Edmonton, AB and Ken (Eleanor), Kitchener, ON and a large circle of family and many cherished friends. Rev. Marion Davis conducted the funeral service at the Grace United Church on June 28, 2001. Interment was at the Grace United Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dennis Warford, Rol Penney, Ross Burton, Terry Rolfe, Don Butt and Paul Bursey.

WELSHMAN, MAISIE MARIE
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Maisie Marie Welshman, age 75, announce her passing at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre on Monday, June 25, 2001. She was predeceased by her husband - Walter; parents Norman and Amelia Welshman and sister Phyllis Andrews. Left with fond and loving memories are: sons Don (Carol), Labrador City, Daniel Baxter, Montreal, Que. and Gary Hamilton, ON; daughter Phyllis (Joseph), Brent's Cove; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Also leaving to mourn: sister - Stella Bishop, La Scie; brother - George Welshman (Ann) Harbour Round; her dear and special friends and staff at the Health Centre; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rev. George Kean conducted the funeral service at Zion United Church and Cemetery, La Scie on Wednesday, June 27, 2001. Pallbearers were George Gray, Lloyd Hunt, Lloyd Morgan, Harvey Martin, Gary McKenna and Earl Martin.
