BUDGELL, LYDIA
March 29, 1922-June 5, 2011

Passed peacefully away at home in the presence of her three daughters, Lydia May Budgell of King's Point, age 89. Lydia was born March 29, 1922. She married Jackson Budgell and together they raised three daughters. She is predeceased by her husband Jackson, parents Joseph & Janie Tucker, brother, Sidney (age 22 yrs.), sister Rite (one month). Lydia never worked outside the home. She gave her life caring for her children, as well as the elderly, and asked for nothing in return. She loved playing the accordion, quilting, knitting, doing word search puzzles and cooking meals for her family. She was a very contented person and she died as she lived, "very contented". Her family loved her dearly. She leaves with fond and loving memories, her daughters Ruby (Harold Toms), Phyllis (Dudley) Burt, Cathy (Brian Howlett), brother, Harvey Tucker (Alma), sister-in-law Phyllis (Roland Cunning). Also with fond memories, 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and nephews Tony, Wayne, Lloyd and Boyd Tucker, as well as a large circle of friends, especially Linda Yates and Lucy Caines. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. The funeral service was held on June 8, 2011 at The Salvation Army, King's Point, with Major Rex Paddock officiating. Interment followed at Interfaith Cemetery, King's Point. The pallbearers were nephews Tony and Boyd Tucker; friends Linda Yates, Elizabeth Pelley, Ruth Sunborg, and David Hayashida. Donations in Lydia's memory may be made to the Cancer Society. Funeral arrangement were entrusted to Gail Noel and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home.

BREEN, ELIZABETH ANN
Coachman's Cove
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elizabeth Ann Breen, age 72, announce her passing at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte, NL on Tuesday, June 7, 2011. Predeceased by her son - Kenneth; parents - Abraham & Bride Walsh; siblings - Douglas Walsh, Catherine Walsh, Louise Walsh, Mary Breen (twin sister) and Abraham Walsh; parents-in-law - James & Mary Breen; siblings-in-law - Raymond Breen. Left with fond and loving memories are her husband - Leonard, Coachman's Cove, NL; children - Joan Breen, Coachman's Cove, NL and Tracey Clarke (Stephen), Baie Verte, NL; grandchildren - Curtis & Stephanie Clarke; siblings - Patrick Walsh (Minnie), Madeline Drover (Michael), Lawrence Walsh (Mary), Joseph Walsh, Phyllis Hoven (Dan), Alice Walsh (James Bailey), Alphonsus Walsh (Rose) and Gerry Walsh (Linda); siblings-in-law - Kathleen Walsh, Gertrude Walsh, William Breen, Lar Breen (Marg), Martin Breen (Mill), Ellen Matthews, Theresa Kennedy (Nick) and Betty England (Stu); many nieces and nephews and a large circle of other relatives and friends. The funeral mass was conducted at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church and Cemetery, Coachman's Cove, NL on Friday, June 10, 2011. Pallbearers were Gerard Walsh, Alphonsus Walsh, Stephen Clarke, Trent Walsh, Daniel Walsh and Rick Breen and the crossbearer was Curtis Clarke. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Wimbleton's Funeral Home, Baie Verte.

BLACKLER, CHESLEY FORD
1940-2011
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mr. Chesley Ford Blackler announces his passing at the Green Bay Health Care Center in Springdale on June 9, 2011 at the age of 71. Chesley was a member of the Springdale Pentecostal Church. Chesley retired from Pelley Enterprises Limited. Predeceased by two sons, Ford and Paul; grandson Jarod; sister, Rita and brothers, Ralph, Walter, Hardy and Joseph. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Cleo; sons: Tony of Springdale, Clyde (Patsy) of Springdale, Glenn (Stephanie) of Fort McMurray; daughters, Cindy Parsons (Wayne) of Clarkes Beach and Brenda Mercer of Kensington, P.E.I. Also leaving to mourn 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Pastor Lindsey Foster conducted the funeral service from the Pentecostal Church in Springdale on June 12, 2011. Interment was at the Springdale Pentecostal Cemetery. Pallbearers were his sons Tony, Clyde & Glenn; son-in-law, Wayne Parsons; nephew, Danny Austin and friend Boyce Wells. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

TUCKER, HARVEY
October 3, 1919-June 11, 2011
Mr. Harvey Tucker
passed peacefully away, surrounded by his family, at The Green Bay Health Care Centre, Springdale on June 11, 2011 at the age of 91 years. He was born October 3, 1919 to Joseph and Janie Tucker at Mansfield's Point. He married Alma Shiner of Smith's Harbour on June 20, 1956 and together they raised four sons. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by brother, Sidney (age 22), sisters, Rita (age one month) and Lydia (age 89). Harvey left school at the age of 12 to work with his father. Then he was self-employed with a sawmill and fishing until the mid 1960s. He had other jobs in his lifetime including working at several Provincial Parks, the mine in Little Bay, returning to his sawmill with his son Tony, construction jobs, boatbuilding and finally as Foreman at the Community Wharf in the 1980s. He was a kind, gentle, hard working man who thought everything of his family, especially his four grandchildren. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Alma, sons Tony (Verna), Lloyd (Cindy), Wayne (Jennifer), Boyd (Vanessa), grandchildren Cody, Megan, Brianna, Macy, nieces Ruby Toms, Phyllis Burt & Cathy Howlett. Majors Catherine and Rex Paddock conducted the Home Going Service, held at The Salvation Army in King's Point on Wednesday June 14, 2011 at 2:00pm. Interment followed at the King's Point Interfaith Cemetery. Pallbearers were Tony, Wayne, Boyd Tucker (sons); Dudley Burt (nephew), Don Maye and Alan Warford (Friends). He will be missed by all who knew him. Donations in Harvey's memory may be made to the King's Point Fire Truck Fund. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Bail Noel and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home.

WELLS, PAUL
June 11, 1969-June 16, 2011

Paul was born at St. Anthony on June 11, 1969 to parents Neil and Elizabeth. He lived in Springdale and graduated from Grant Collegiate in 1987. Paul loved carpentry and made his own furniture. He especially enjoyed the outdoors with his friends. He passed away suddenly at home, June 16, 2011 at the age of 42. He leaves to mourn: mother Elizabeth Grant, father Neil (Chulla), brothers Mark (Angie), David (Crystal), nieces Eve, London, Caroline, as well as a large circle of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Pallbearers were brothers Mark and David, cousins Michael & Matthew Brenton, Drew Wells, friend Byron Oxford. The funeral service was held at the Springdale Pentecostal Church on June 20, 2011 with Pastors L. Foster and R. Rowsell officiating. Interment was at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, St. John's, NL. Donations in Paul's memory may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Gail Noel and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home.

MILLEY, VERDON CHESLEY
1940-2011
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mr. Verdon Chesley Milley announces his passing at the Green Bay Health Care Centre in Springdale on June 16, 2011 at the age of 71. Verdon was a member of the Pentecostal Church. Verdon retired from Construction work. Predeceased by brothers, Hubert, Ralph, Norman and sisters Ida, Gertie and Dorothy. Left with fond and loving memories is his wife, Lillian; son Colin (Gwen) of Phelpston, ON, and daughter Karen (Terry Gerwing) of Lake Lenore, SK. Also leaving to mourn sister Rowena and two adorable grandchildren Erica and Carson. Pastor Cole conducted the funeral service from the Pentecostal Church in South Brook on Monday, June 20, 2011. Interment was at the Pentecostal Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

RANDELL, PETER
Peter Randell
, formerly of Englee, but now of Robert's Arm, passed peacefully away at the Valley Vista Senior's Home on Sunday, June 26, 2011 at the age of 84. He was born January 26, 1927 in Williamsport, NL to Harry and Faith Randell. He married Alma Ropson and together they raised three children, Joan, Maureen and Terry. In 1965 Peter moved his family to Englee. He spent his life working as a fisherman, carpenter, and later as school caretaker. He especially enjoyed crafting small boats. After his retirement in 1990 they moved to Robert's Arm. Due to ill health Peter became a resident of the Valley Vista Senior's Home, Springdale, in 2005, where he remained until his passing. He leaves to mourn besides his wife Alma and three children, 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, two sisters and a number of other relatives and friends. The funeral service was conducted by Pastor Robert Paddock from the Word of Life Tabernacle, Robert's Arm on Wednesday, June 29 at 2 PM, with interment following at the Pentecostal Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ron Young, Leander Hewlett, Bob Ryan, Leamond Fillier, and Gavin Osmond. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Gail Noel and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.

RICE, IVY JANE
1929-2011
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ivy Jane Rice announces her passing at the Green Bay Health Centre in Springdale on June 30, 2011 at the age of 82. Ivy was a member of the Springdale Pentecostal Church. Predeceased by husband John Rice; parents Harriett & Elijah Mercer; brother Elijah and special friend Wilmore Williams. Left with fond and loving memories are her sons: George (Pearl) of Bishop's Falls, Paul (Mabel) of Corner Brook, Harvey (Barbara) of Springdale, Ford; daughters: Verna (James Stagg) of Bonavista, Madge (Rodney Toms) of La Scie, Jacqueline (Bill Evans) of Grand Falls-Windsor and Marjorie (Duncan Parsons) of Springdale. Also leaving to mourn 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Pastor Lindsey Foster assisted by Pastor Rowsell conducted the funeral service from the Pentecostal Church in Springdale on Saturday, July 2, 2011. Interment was at the Pentecostal Cemetery. Pallbearers were George Rice, Madge Toms, Harvey Rice, Jacqueline Evans, Ford Rice and Duncan Parsons. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral homes.
