It is with great sadness that the family of the late Frank Carl Martin, age 82, announce his passing at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte, NL on Friday, June 4, 2010. Predeceased by his grandson - Justin Stephen Gale; parents - Samuel & Leah Martin; brother - Baxter Martin; parents-in-law - Leander & Mary Ann Randell; sister-in-law - Dorothy Martin; brother-in-law - Edward Rice. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife - Phyllis, La Scie, NL; children - Pansy Foley (Felix), Conche, NL, Allyson Martin (Leona), Lewisporte, NL, Cerinna Gale (Stephen), Fort McMurray, AB; grandchildren - Tarek & Alyssa Foley; Trevor Martin; Jenna & Tyler Gale; great-grandchildren - Chloe, Angelie & James; siblings - Harvey Martin, Earl Martin (Edna), both of LA Scie, NL, Rowena Saunders (Kenneth), Blaketown, NL, Ruby Rice, South Shore Villa, Crapaud, PEI; sister-in-law - Neta Martin, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rev. Harry Oake conducted the funeral service at Zion United Church, La Scie, NL on Monday, June 7, 2010. Interment followed from Zion United Cemetery, La Scie, NL. Pallbearers were Felix Foley, Alyssa Foley, John Price, Fred Welshman, Lloyd Hunt & Junior Gray. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Wimbleton's Funeral Home, Baie Verte.

BOYDE, MARY HILARY
1927-2010
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Hilary Boyde announce her passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Center on June 6, 2919, at the age of 82. Mary is predeceased by her husband, Matthew James Boyde; mother, Anastasia Dobbin (Head); father, David Dobbin Sr.; sons: Baby Gregory Boyde, David Boyde, Harold Boyde; daughter-in-law, Donna Boyde; brothers, John Dobbin, Gordon Dobbin, Harold Dobbin; grandchildren, Keith Boyde and Robert Boyde. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Thomas (Patricia) Boyde, Robert (Jean) Boyde, Joan (Donald Goulding), Anthony (Linda) Boyde, Ann (Richard Porter), Gregory (Joanne) Boyde, Joseph (Janis) Boyde; sister, Lucy Bouzane; brother, David Dobbin Jr; 21 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren; along with a large number of family and friends. Father Wilfred conducted the funeral service at the Sacred Heart Parish in St. Patrick's on Thursday, June 10, 2010. Interment was at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in St. Patrick's. Pallbearers were grandsons: Joseph Boyde Jr, Anthony Goulding, Elvis Young and Alphonsus Folkes; great grandsons: Brandon Boyde and Matthew Goulding and friend, Tommy King. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

It is with sadness that the family of the late Walter Gillard of Springdale, NL, announce his death. Walter passed away at Dalhousie Nursing Home in Dalhousie, NB on June 9, 2010, at the age of 90. Arrangements are entrusted to Maher Funeral Home in Dalhousie, NB. Final resting place Springdale, NL. Beloved father of, Judith (Nee Rice) Cullen, Father in law Joe Cullen and grandfather of Bianca and Juliana Cullen.

ROBERTS, WESLEY ALLEN
1920-2010
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Wesley Allen Roberts announces his passing at the Valley Vista Seniors Home in Springdale on June 9, 2010 at the age of 90. Wesley was a member of the Maranatha Pentecostal Church. Predeceased by parents, Fred and Maryann Roberts; brothers: Norman and Claude and stepbrother, Cliff. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Marion; sons: Jerome (Barbara) of Marathon, Ontario, Jerry (Gwen) of Marathon, Ontario, Harvey (Deanne) of Triton, Headley (Marilyn) of Labrador City, Junior (Marilyn) of Roberts Arm, Carl (Bonnie) of Triton, Shawn (Donett) of Lloydminister, Wilfred (Coralee) of Triton, Andy (Janice) of Triton, Vaden (Roxanne) of Marathon, Ontario; daughters: Madge (Pearce) of Triton, Sandra (Tom) of Grand Falls, Yvonne (Mervin) of Triton, Bride (Melvin) of Marathon, Ontario, Brenda (Todd) of Triton, Mavis (Andy) of Triton; stepdaughters: Minnie, Salome, Betty and Leona. Also leaving to mourn sister, Clemmie; brother, Baxter; stepbrother, Clayton; 33 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Pastor Jeff Elliott conducted the funeral service at the Maranatha Pentecostal Tabernacle in Triton on June 13, 2010. Interment was at the Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers were sons: Junior, Carl, Wilfred, Andy; grandson, Jonathan and Jeremy. Honorary pallbearer was son, Jerome. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear, Jim Maidment and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

SIMMS, GERALD BERKLEY
1929-2010
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gerald Berkley Simms announce his passing at the Dr. Hugh Twomey Centre in Botwood on June 13, 2010 at the age of 80. Gerald retired from Eveleigh's Seafoods in 1994. Predeceased by son Todd and parents, John and Nellie Simms. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife, Elaine; daughter, Gloria (John) of Pasadena and grandson, Evan. Also leaving to mourn sisters: Ruth (Bob) of Satsuma, Florida, Norma (Wilson) of Gander and Phyllis (Ian) of Wellington, Ontario. Jerry Weir conducted the funeral service from the Faith United Church in Little Bay Islands on June 18, 2010. Interment was at the Community Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

PENNEY, ALFREDA ALICE
1918-2010
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alfreda Penney announces her passing at the Springdale Retirement Center in Springdale on June 17, 2010 at the age of 91. Alfreda was a member of the Springdale Pentecostal Church. Predeceased by her husband, Alfred Penney; son-in-law, Freeman Clarke and granddaughter, Anne Hoddinott. Left with fond and loving memories are her sons: Roland (Lottie) of Edmonton, AB, Dale (Helen) of Whitecourt, AB, Lorne (Kay) of Port Saunders, NL and David (Rosalyn) of Kitchener, ON; daughters: Rose (Freeman Clarke - deceased) of Springdale, NL and Nova (Con Hoddinott) of Hawke's bay, NL. Also leaving to mourn 29 grandchildren and 47 great grandchildren. Pastor Lindsey Foster conducted the funeral service from the Pentecostal Church in Springdale on June 20, 2010. Interment was at the Springdale Pentecostal Cemetery. Pallbearers were Greg Penney, Owen Penney, Nathan Burton, Alexander Burton, Stephen Clarke and Timothy Robinson. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

RIDEOUT, MARIE MURIEL RUTH
December 17, 1938 - June 19, 2010
It is with sadness but also a great sense of hope, that the family of the late Marie Rideout of Long Island announce her passing on June 19, 2010, at the age of 71. She was born in Lushes Bight and married Pearce Rideout of Beaumont on June 7, 1958. Together, they had six children and lived not only in Beaumont, but Goose Bay and Robert's Arm and had just recently moved to Springdale to live out their retirement years. Marie, known for her gracious, gentle spirit loved to prepare a good meal to share with family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was predeceased by daughter, Wavey, parents Hartfield and Winnie Morgan, brother Lorne, and great granddaughter MacKenzie. She leaves to mourn husband Pearce, daughters Maxine (Corbie), Elaine; sons Terry (Annette), Brian (Kay), Sherman (Kim); grandchildren Delora (Melvin), Marcus, Samantha; sisters Juanita, Audrey, Ruby, Gleason (Frank); brother Hedley (Betty); as well as a large circle of other relatives (in-laws, nieces and nephews) and friends. The funeral service was held on June 22 at Word of Life Tabernacle, Robert's Arm, with daughter, Pastor Elaine Rideout, officiating while son, Pastor Terry Rideout paid tribute. They were assisted in the service by Pastors Gary Andrews, Lindsey Foster, Harry Perry, and Robert Paddock. Interment followed at the Long Island Pentecostal Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Gail Noel and Bill Weeks of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.

YOUNG, ALBERT
Mr. Albert Young
of Sussex passed away peacefully on June 20, 2010 at the age of 69. Albert is survived by his wife, Cathy Young; two daughters: Sylvia Norrad of Kingston and Berdena Green (Earl) of Saint John; two sons: Douglas of Manitoba and Larry (Michelle) of Saskatchewan; the mother of his children, Melitta Hewlett; six brothers: Clayton, David (Ethel), Jim, Ronald (Florence), all of Newfoundland, Gerald (Trudy) and Geddis (Ivy) all of PEO; four sisters: Ellen Shiner (Rodman), Nina Janes (Raymond), Mabel Young and Bessie Welshman (Malcolm) all of Newfoundland; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his good friend, Richard Munro of Sussex; as well as several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister, Lydia; two infant brothers: George and Steward and by his sister-in-law, Laura Young. A celebration of Albert's life was held from Wallace Community Chapel on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at 11:00 am. The interment will take place at Bethel Pentecostal Cemetery, Smiths Harbour. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex.

WALKER, MARY CATHERINE
1933-2010

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Catherine Walker (Hunt) announces her passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Center in Grand Falls-Windsor on June 23, 2010 at the age of 77. Mary was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Predeceased by husband, William Walker and sister, Geraldine While. Left with fond and loving memories are her son Dwayne (Twila) of Grand Falls-Windsor and daughters: Barbara Clarke (Walter, deceased) of Foxtrap and Frances Buchanan (John) of Springdale. Also leaving to mourn Marlene Fudge, Alma Marshal, Marjorie Cran; brother, Edward Hunt and grandchildren: Bill Clarke, Dan Clarke, Nancy Clarke, Priscilla Clarke, Nikita Clarke and Jakob Walker. Father Wilfred Calinawan conducted the funeral service from the Sacred Heart Parish in St. Patrick's on June 26, 2010. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment, Marilyn Stuckless and Ken Goodyear of Central Funeral Homes.

RICE, ETHEL PEARL
1921-2010
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ethel Pearl Rice announces her passing at the Valley Vista Seniors Home in Springdale on June 26, 2010 at the age of 88. Ethel was a member of the Word of Life Tabernacle in Robert's Arm. Predeceased by her husbands: Ralph Parsons and Leonard Rice; parents, John and Mary Jane Anthony; sons: Roy, Alexander and Neville; one brother and three sisters. Left with fond and loving memories are her sons: Cyril Parsons (Joyce) of Marathon, Ontario, Stephen W. Parsons (Marlene) of New Market, Ontario; daughters: Evelina Morey (Cyril) of Robert's Arm and Margaret H. Roberts (Paul) of Triton. Also leaving to mourn 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a large circle of relatives and friends. Pastor Shannon Rogers conducted the funeral service from the Word of Life Tabernacle in Robert's Arm on June 30, 2010. Interment was at the Pentecostal Cemetery in Robert's Arm. Pallbearers were grandchildren: Walter Morey, Suzette Winsor, Carolyn Morey-Shiner, Mary Roberts, Wallace Morey and John Parsons. Honorary pallbearer was great grandson, Miguel Roberts. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

GILLARD, ANNIE VIOLA
1939-2010
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Annie Viola Gillard announces her passing at the Green Bay Health Care Center in Springdale on June 28, 2010 at the age of 70. Annie retired from the Valley Vista Seniors Home in 1998. Predeceased by husband, George and parents, Henry and Blanche Warford. Left with fond and loving memories are her son, Kevin of Springdale and her daughters, Doreen (Stephen) of Winnipeg, Manitoba and Nora (Perry) of Springdale. Also leaving to mourn: grandchildren: Lee and Jenny Giles, Rory Balmer and Breanne, Sabrina and Anthony Fudge, Luke Pelley and Denika; great grandchildren: Lucas and Brooklyn Giles, Cassidy and Tyrone Fudge; sisters: Mary King (Raymond), Eileen Newbury (Arch), Maude Newbury (Clem), Marg Newbury (Jim), Dolly Mitchell (Gerald); brothers: William (Bill) Warford (Margie), Frank Warford, Gordon Warford (Kitty); brothers-in-law: Claude and Harry Gillard; sister-in-law, Gladys Gillard; nieces and nephews; special friends: Pat Croucher, Helen Clark and Gladys Donahue, and as well a large circle of other family and friends. Majors Gerald and Doreen Lacey conducted the funeral service from the Salvation Army Citadel in Springdale on July 2, 2010. Interment was at the Salvation Army Cemetery. Pallbearers were daughters: Nora Pelley and Doreen Cook; niece, Trixie Fudge; sister-in-law, Gladys Fudge; son-in-law, Stephen Cook and grandson, Rory Balmer. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

NOTLEY, SANDRA HAZEL DAPHNE
1954-2010
It is with sadness but also a great sense of hope, that the family of the late Sandra Notley announce her passing on June 29, 2010, at the age of 55. She spent most of her life in Pacquet where she raided her son Tommy, until marrying Wilfred Notley of Port Hope Simpson in 1997. She quickly became part of that community as well. Sandra was devoted to her family and friends and never missed an opportunity to give from the heart - whether it was a birthday, anniversary, or Christmas. She will be missed by all who loved her. She leaves to mourn husband Wilfred; son Tommy; parents Edgar & Ethel Elliott; sister Juanita (Gordon) Greenham; brothers Jeffrey (Janet), Shawn (Tia); as well as a large circle of others relatives (in-laws, nieces and nephews) and friends. The funeral service was held on July 2, at Harvest Time Pentecostal Church, Pacquet, with her brother, Pastor Jeffrey Elliott officiating, assisted by Pastor Keith Lane. Interment followed at the Harvest Time Pentecostal Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Gail Noel and Bill Weeks of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.
